Non-Chelsea Transfer Pub

Fair enough..

However I don't think our situation easily compares to Man United. They had a clear "rebuilding and transition phase", that cannot be disputed. Everyone knew, they were clearing out SAF's old guard and making way for new targets. And they offered great wages and paid crazy transfer sums to return to the status-quo.

We've just had a season from hell. No mass exodus lead to our demise neither was it a glut of ageing players.

It was just a horrible case of many players out of form, bad luck, bad tactics and whatever else you want to add on.

Will there be certain players who don't view us favorably in these next couple transfer windows, sure, no doubt about it. But I'm starting to believe that more often than not, most players will realize it was just a freak season, and that there's no way Roman Abramovic would ever allow this to happen again. I could be naive, but I think a majority of our future targets are smart enough to realize, we have a culture and owner who breeds success and one season doesn't mean now that Chelsea FC is ok with being mediocre and battling with the likes of tottenham/liverpool/west-Ham to "maybe" finish 4th every season.

well put. lets hope our future targets do think your way.

hopefully cesc, oscar, ramires, mikel.

Nah I think Ramires is good to have around, as a squad player why not? Let's be honest, he's already penned a new contract so he's pretty much staying put. Don't see that as a negative thing, he's better than Mikel.

Mikel nobody wants to buy. He will leave on a free transfer.

Cesc, not leaving.

Oscar is still a wild card, don't know what Mourinho wants with the guy.

Ramires limited but really great squad player.

Anyhow will be interesting to see what we can get this January.

it is easy to argue for keeping these guys, they work hard, experienced , very commendable ect. but we need to move forward, and bring in better quality.

I don't want any new signings until we have a new manager

i love rambo as much as any chelsea fan. you can go to his thread and look at it. but, what do we have to lose now?

top 4 is as good as gone. they are both 28. they have their uses but i think not good enough. i mean whats the point of starting either of them ahead of RLC?

also, oscar is not a wildcard. he is an inconsistent, limited player who only clicks when the whole team is clicking. we need a better no.10.

cesc - well. i still cant believe we actually bought him. need an upgrade.
