Pizy 18,992
Apparently City are now close to signing both Mangala and Fernando. How the FUCK do they keep spending like this!? They clearly don't give a shit about FFP and are just going to buy a world class player for every position. They spent £100m on top of their already incredibly expensive squad and are now looking to spend another £60m+If they can get away with this shit then why don't we? While 2012/13, they had loss of 63mio. Uefa told they will ban any team with more than 45mio loss in 2011/12 and 2012/13, but 'surprisingly' they wont do shit about it. FFP is a joke,at least for now. Prices go sky high and clubs spend like never before...

All that the FFP can do is probably give you a fine. And the clubs will be glad to pay it. While the ones who made the FFP get to milk...well a little from the rich team. There isn't a chance UEFA would kick any of those clubs out of the CL either.Let's just buy Suarez, Kroos, and Shaw tomorrow and dare them to do anything about it. Well I think for us, I think the club wants to continue with it's plan. Balancing books and try to get players from the academy into the team. So if we continue with that, we can't no longer spend that much like in the past. It will also take away spot from bringing in younger players. Don't see their insane spending stopping anytime soon. Even if they win the league I'd expect them to spend gobs of cash. I really am convinced United will spend humongous money this summer and buy at least 3-4 world class players. Arsenal signed that new Puma deal and have said themselves that they can now start spending the fees necessary to get world class players. It's all going come down to the manager and their tactics next year. Our link with Vitesse, our targeting of young players who will either get better and contribute to the squad or simply make us a profit when we sell them, the way we re-sign older players and the occasional marquee signing means we're nicely placed going forward.Over time our revenues will continue to grow but the single biggest bottleneck right now is the stadium. Until that is sorted (and it'll be May before anything is even close to being discussed, let alone being decided upon and then built) then we're going to have to be a little bit smarter than the Arsenal's and City's of this world. kellzfresh, Viper22, Eggman and 3 others
Popular Post! Jype 6,398 Posted January 30, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 30, 2014 Yep, the Chelsea board are seriously trying to make the club profitable, even before the FFP was announced in the first place. That's not because they want to make themselves and the owner some extra pocket money like for example the Arsenal board are doing, but because making sure the club isn't overly dependent on the owner's funding is no doubt the best way to ensure the long term future of the club. We have wonderful players already and the club has continued to spend money whenever necessary so why should the people running the club throw away years of hard work if the FFP suddenly turns out to be nothing more than a joke? I for one am very much liking the way Chelsea does business these days. The only place to be, Fernando, seanptmiller and 5 others
