Cabaye would make sense in a 4-3-3 especially considering he already has chemistry with Hazard, but Jose likes tall players in front of the defenders so I can't imagine anyone under 6 ft being bought to partner Ramires really.

No-one knows what the situation at this club will be come January, or what players will be available. Things can change very quickly especially on the last day of the window which is almost two months away.

So whilst there are provisional plans it's really bizarre for anyone to rule out a purchase altogether.

I'd be absolutely delighted if we only signed one player and he was a top class CM. We can sustain a title challenge with our current crop of strikers if we just solidify the middle of the field.

Address the striker issue in the summer. Ba and Eto'o will be gone, possibly Torres too, Lukaku back, and we can hopefully add another.

We just need someone that will let our trio behind the striker have fun. Give them the ball frequently and can spread the play. At the same time he needs to be able to act as a shield for the defenders.
