This was their level between 1992-2012 so really, they are just going back to their natural place i.e. 5th-12th place.

For me, he's a competent footballer, not a special one. This has been my take since before Ethan went on loan, so it hasn't been influenced by the way things panned out in Germany. A chief concern is his passing. I think it's short of the required level. I've no idea whether or not Ethan's stats support my claim, but I firmly believe that pass completion stats don't tell even half the story. I prefer to examine a performance and ask how well each involvement was performed. Were control, touch, decision making and execution as good as could be reasonably expected in any given situation. On that basis, Ethan does not score well enough in my opinion. I half agree with you, i fully agree he's not going to be a top midfielder (even more so now the DM here is required to be our controller) but i think he really could make it as a top CB if he cuts out the rashness he can sometimes display. I know this will sound like a lazy comparison for obvious reasons but i see a bit of young Luiz in him, excellent at interceptions, a good passing range for a CB's standard but not a midfielders but a tendency to get a bit overexcited as there's been times playing for us he was really lucky not to see red. Hopefully he can succeed where David failed and cut that part of his game out. I think a 2 year loan somewhere is the best option for all parties. It is weird that transfer window is not in August. They will start new season and still have one more month to buy/sell players.
NikkiCFC 8,529
I think after all these +100m transfers of Hazard, Griezmann, Coutinho, Dembele and Felix (none paid off for now) clubs will be very careful to spend such a money for players again. Plus COVID. So I think Dortmund will not get what they want for Jadon. UTD may have different plans.
