When Aguero leaves I reckon City will go to the market for his replacement.

When Jesus joined City, and was sometimes preferred to Aguero in the XI, there was a lot of talk about the posibility of his becoming their first choice immediately. My reaction to that was, 'yes please', because having watched Jesus on YouTube, I had formed, and posted, the opinion that he was not as good as his reputation suggested, and nowhere near as good as the Argentine. Maybe because that assessment is right, or, if it's not, maybe for some other reason, but Guardiola does not seem to like Jesus as much as most other members of his squad. I haven't seen much evidence to sugget that Jesus is getting promoted when Aguero leaves. If it's true that Jesus wants to quit the club, perhaps it's because he's getting that vibe too.

Jesus was actually the preferred striker in the beginning but Aguero has done well improving his build up game. He is no longer just a striker who run the channel plus if you watch this city team, they need a goal getter as striker. Aguero pretty much guarantee 20 goals a season.

In my opinion the change wasn't in Aquero's game, but in Guardiola's thinking about the relative merits of his two leading strikers.

The rest of my opinion on this comes in two parts. First, Aguero is simply the better striker and always has been. Second, regardless of whether or not he ever becomes City's first choice striker, Jesus at his best, will never be as good as Aguero has been at his best. It is, as I see it, a complete non-contest. To regard Jesus in the same bracket as Aguero is, I think, to overestimate the Brazilian

Another interesting read Versper, thank you. Three things; -

Karlo is back with the club after his emergency loan at Sutton. He's going to start the final of the uefa Youth League in an hour or so. I think he'll probably be kept around at the club next year because Chelsea really rate Jamie Cumming and are probably looking for a 2019/2020 loan for him. This add's up to Karlo becoming the senior development level keeper in the squad. Another reason for the guess that Karlo will be at Cobham next season is...

Reading between the lines, Marcin is a goner. Unless I've seen bad information, his contract expires in June and, not only is there no news of a renewal, there has been no sign of him on a football pitch for a long time. He isn't playing, he's not been notified as injured and the club are saying nothing about him at all. That's often a sign that they're covering up a dispute between club and player. If Marcin is in his last few weeks as a Chelsea player that's a shame because I rate him.

I'll have a friendly bet with you that we'll finish above 7th. Yes?

Leroy Sane is reportedly unhappy at city. And with Sterling heavily favoured over him, he might decide to put in a transfer request.

If we could pull off a reverse De Bruyne and develop him into a star (in case Eden leaves).

There must be a reason why Sane Pep doesn't pick him that often, why Low decided not to include him in World Cup squad last summer

Agreed. It's usually risky to ignore the evidence of a player's selection record. Not always, but usually for sure.

If you watched aguero, he actually change his game quite a bit to suit guardiola style. But he is just happen to have very good technical skill so it is not difficult to change.

Jesus fit perfectly to what pep want, he press hard and very2 versatile. In pep positional football, his ability to play on the wing, as am, as striker is very2 beneficial. The problem is he is just not a goal getter in Aguero class

Chelsea target £35m-rated Nice right-back Youcef Atal this summer - if they can delay Fifa ban

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/04/29/chelsea-target-35m-rated-nice-right-back-youcef-atal-summer/

Chelsea have included Nice right-back Youcef Atal on a list of possible transfer targets this summer, should their Fifa ban be delayed.

The exciting 22 year-old is being tracked by a number of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, and would cost at least €40 million (£34.6m), although that price could go up.

Atal became the first Algerian to score a hat-trick in Ligue 1 for 33 years at the weekend, in Nice’s 3-0 win over Guingamp, prompting coach Patrick Vieira to try and dampen down the interest and insist he is not for sale.

However, Atal, who played on the left of midfield in that game, has already been scouted by clubs around Europe after a series of impressive performances; not least as a quick and skilful dribbler. It is therefore expected that Nice will have a fight on their hands should a bid be made and they try and keep him.

Atal only joined Nice last summer from Belgian club Kortrijk and has become a star of the Algerian national team which will compete in the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Manchester City have opted not to pursue a new left-back this summer and will continue to back Benjamin Mendy, Sky Sports News understands.

that's good news that means city will not go for Ben chilwell in the summer

thats not a shocker, when he is health Mendy is an absolute monster, and they will give him one more year to stay healthy

Alex Sando is on the verge of being too old, he turns 29 in the middle on next season, so not worth the £50m plus Juve will want. Why would you pay that for only one full sub 30yo season.

Only true upgrade would be Alaba, and good luck prying him away from Bayern. Alba at Barca is now 30 and will soon start to decline, probably within 2 years, 3 years max.

Alex Telles and Junior Firpo is the only other truly WC LB's who are remotely available, and I would take a healthy Mendy or them probably. Its a toss-up and a very expensive toss-up. Tey were on the verge of going for Firpo, but he has been hurt a tonne this year, so unless Real Madrid grabs him, Firpo should be there next year (and we need to grab him if Shitty/Real do not) or Chillwell. Firpo has far more upside, and is a far bigger and a far better athlete. I would also take Ferland Mendy. But, IF RM do not buy Junior, they will probably buy Ferland.

As soon as the bans are over, we HAVE to sell assclown Alonso. Wuthless as a fullback, I dont give a damn about that goal. So many jumped back on the Higs train after he scored. Look where that got them.

I know many here don't want Sarri to be the manager next season and many certainly don't want this current midfield formation with Jorginho as regista, but SHOULD we continue with Sarri, Jorginho and 4-3-3, then Van De Beek is THE perfect player for that RCM position. Far superior to Kante in that role I'd say.

Van De Beek as RCM and Ziyech as RW with James as RB, new ST and new LB would elevate this Chelsea team to a whole new level.
