Funkyflashman 187
I like the fact that this guy is a full-on set piece threat. He's good in the air and would give us good options up front for less money that Cavani or Hulk Sheva.
Sheva. 5,373
I agree. Anything over £20m and it'd be money wasted IMO. Could've used it to sign a player who will have more impact on the team.I'd rather us sign a £30m Hulk than sign a £20m Lewandowski as I believe Hulk would have far more impact on the team. But the thing is Hulk will cost close to 40m, while i believe we can get Lewy for around 25m.And we need a striker more than we need Hulk as far as i'm concerned. Also this "Anything over £20m and it'd be money wasted IMO", considering how much we paid for Lukaku and Torres, i totally disagree. headhunter23 70
Yeah 25 for this guy seems reasonable, he seems like a physical stud, he would score the chances created, he doesnt seem like a superstar striker like nando was 2 years ago or King Drogs, but a guy like higuain who will put in a good chance 90% of the time, we wont need much creativity from our forward with hazard/oscar/mata patrolling the midfield ))) Duppy Conqueror and Blue-in-me-Veins
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
sign him,, future pairing with studge looks emense, but even if not that, he just does his job like demba ba, or cisse, they just do their job and what i like is the lack of flash, they jist play simple old school football. we may need player like that in this new look squad. Hutcho 8,443
I think Lewandowski is a great player, and in many ways would prefer him to cavani, due to the fact that cavani is of a higher profile and looks likely to cost double... Lewandowski is also 2 years younger and i think is much better value and would be able to do a job for us for a long time...I say put in a take it or leave it 25 mil offer... That seems to be what he is worth, would give us 3 stikers assuming RL goes on loan, and would pretty much complete our team with the exception of a back up right back. The Skipper 20,609
Also this "Anything over £20m and it'd be money wasted IMO", considering how much we paid for Lukaku and Torres, i totally disagree.Basically what I'm trying to say is that Lewandowski isn't worth £20m+ IMO. We shouldn't have paid £50m for Torres, and Lukaku shouldn't have been £18m either. They've both now got unnecessary pressure on them, as they're both expected to produce something great to represent the outlay CFC have made on them. Personally I only want CFC to spend more than £20m-£30m on players that will have a great impact or potentially have great impact on the team. FormerRussianSpy 163
He's definitely an old school striker: physically gifted, single-minded, has an energy rate that is an absolute nuisance for defenders, and most of all he's clinical/no-nonsense in front of goal. What I enjoy about watching him though is that for a big guy, he has impeccable control of the ball. He can take the ball from a difficult position and make it an easy position to make an accurate attempt on goal. Quality striker this lad, I'd love to see him here. sleazyB 58
I think lewandawski is a great player and all but I think he greatly benefited in a great team in form, in Dortmund. Who knows if he could replicate that form here?

Lewandowski is only 23 and Torres is already 28. In 2-3 years time, we will be shipping him out already or maybe, we might even ship him out in a year's time! Kajo 176
Lewandowski is good young talented striker but I think he wouldn't want to seat on the bench tbh. Young players needs a lot of play time to develop their abillities properly. He wouldn't be cheap too.

We can do with a player like that atm, not overly expensive, probably won't get ridiculous wages either, just comes in and does his job.

Saying that, Lewandowski is too good to come here and be some sort of second choice striker. The point I'm trying to make is that we shouldn't spend £25m+ on a player who isn't going to be our first choice striker. Torres has the capability to score chances that will be created for him inevitably with the team we're building. So does Sturridge. If he didn't cost more than £20m then fair enough, but anything above that is overpriced for anyone's who's not going to add anything different to the team. It's money wasted as I'd rather have other areas in the team completed first.
