steve5221 91
Its maybe time to change the formation but i cant see AVB doing it he hasn't shown in his time here that he will revert from the 4-3-3.i agree 4-3-1-2 may work better as Danny will thrive as a striker.Sturridge needs to be right up top with someone in support. I think with Mata playing in the "hole" it will benefit us alot more. He gets isolated out wide and cant affect the game.AVb always reverts to this formation when we are losing - we always score with it, why not start with it??? Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
I agree that if torress is given 3-4 straight matches then finally our attack would be as deadly as it is on paper. this bullsh*t of giving toress and drogba each equal chances is ruining our team!! if that gets sorted out and replace deadweight kalou and anelka with stevan jovetic/hazard/toni kroos (i just personally like him we're not linked with him) hahahaha! Yes with the current rotation policy neither striker is able to settle and maintain a good run of form...Drogba needs to maintain fitness while Torres needs to retain his match-sharpness..I don't think AVB is doing either striker a favour by dropping them every alternate game.. Rambo 1,729
They're not geling as much as most Chelsea fans want them to...we are definitely underachieving with this front 3 and I can't wait for Sturridge to polish up as a finished product and with Mata/Torres to play with that swagger that they have in them. Does AVB carry some resposibility for this? Maybe the ongoing heavy rotation is disrupting their chemistry together, who knows.
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
another main reason why i personally believe that our attack is not as good is because we lack that joe cole/nani type player in our squad. someone that can run and run and run for the full 90 and have great ball skills (besides ramires cause he's the only one we got)! and someone that can beat a man 1v1 anyday and attract a double team constantly like nani. that would go a hell of a long way in helping studge, mata, and torres!! I agree with your assessment. our offense really really lack of penetration to penalty box. We either need a winger who can take on player one on one or fullbacks who like to attack the box (cole used to do this for us)
