Namika 922
Juan, meet Manuel: It's all friendly in ManchesterManuel Pellegrini has turned up at Chelsea's team hotel in Manchester and been seen shaking hands with Juan Mata, reports Chris Wheeler. Surely the City boss should be looking at defenders not more midfielders after yesterday's showing at Cardiff. coolhead23 1,147
Don't see what all the fuss is about.Losing Mata wouldn't be the end of the world. He's not untouchableAt the time when we're talking about the need of stability and creating a team which is going to win you trophies/titles, there is a possibility of the best player getting transferred to our main rival. It is not the end of the world, it is perfect recipe for disaster.

drog.ba 239
BBC had said Spurs wanted Mata, changed it to:"Losing out to their London rivals has delayed Spurs finalising the departure of Bale, although a Chelsea attacker has been identified as a potential replacement. However, Spurs are frustrated that Chelsea are refusing to sell a player who could now find himself behind Willian in the Stamford Bridge pecking order." clearly got over their anger us buying Willian and want us to sell them Mata. Why would we sell to them, especially if they consider themselves our rivals, after they refused to sell us Modric. John1611 77
Mata is more likely to go to United in a straight swap for Rooney(with United perhaps adding £10 million cash), than him getting loaned anywhere. Our board are not stupid. You don't loan your twice in a row player of the year who's easily worth £45-£55 million if not more. Any type of loan is out of question. Chelsea? 892
When asked about what would happen if United wanted Mata in exchange for Rooney, Mourinho responded: ‘That’s hypothetical, because they didn’t ask. John1611
Pizy 18,903
As if we'd even entertain the idea of selling him to Spuds...Unless they offered a straight swap for Bale, that email would be marked as trash as soon as it was seen in Jose's inbox.
