YouNameIt 1,511
You just sound like those British media, misquoting stuff lol.If you get my meaning, hazard got to play well. i like to see hazard to be influential on the pitch as well. apparently you don'tHow on EARTH did you interpret what I wrote that I dont want Hazard to be influential on the pitch? My point is that I dont give a bloody shit that Hazard costed 1.5 times more than Mata and that Mata is more efficient and influential than Hazard is. Its not relevant what so ever. Stingray

Cripen 110
That cross yesterday to Ivanovic was terrific. Also that touch by the first goal was great. Now almost every action is played with Mata. I have no doubt that he's actually one of the best players in the Premier League. Chelsea?

JDY 1,290
Some statistics comparing Juan to players of similar ilk:David Silva vs. Santi Cazorla vs. Juan MataDavid Silva, 26 years oldSanti Cazorla, 28 years oldJuan Mata, 24 years oldFor me there is no question who is the better of the three at the moment. Silva is far too inconsistent this term, and even last year when he was good I felt Mata was just that little bit better. Some people see Silva consistently in the Spain team and instantly think he must be better, the simple fact is he suits Spain's possession game more. Cazorla has been magnificent in the League, but falls short in the other competitions (Not to mention he's much older than Mata).Hopefully Juan keeps it up this season and we could be looking at him reaching double figures for both goals and assists. Until then there's nothing more we can do but sit back and enjoy watching little maestro continue to dazzle the opposition. Leif 6,006
He really needs to start dropping deeper to control the game - not just control the final 3rd.Basically it'd be better for our team (probably) for him to make similar runs and take up the same positioning Cazorla often takes at Arsenal. Corner 456
He really needs to start dropping deeper to control the game - not just control the final 3rd.Basically it'd be better for our team (probably) for him to make similar runs and take up the same positioning Cazorla often takes at Arsenal. It would be better for our attack, but Mata must be instructed to stay in the hole between the midfield and striker. Arsenal use more of 4-3-3, so naturally Cazorla is going to be deeper at times.Under RDM, Mata seemed to be dropping deep a lot more. Not sure if he was instructed to do so or not, but it worked well at times. But it also didn't work so well sometimes as he could be too deep and the attack would be halted. He does drop deeper quite often. Watch the game against Southampton for a very recent example. Often he's on the edge of the box for opposition corners too. Not quite sure what you're on about to be honest.
Rambo 1,729
Juan Mata on Ba and Torres-“They’re different players, no? Fernando likes to come deeper while Demba likes to use his body to battle with the defenders. It doesn’t matter who I’m - well, we’re - playing with, whether it is Demba or Fernando or both. We have to adapt and play for them, because they’re our strikers and I think it’s really good for the squad to have different options. “
Zone 290
I just want this bastard to take all our corners left and right. Every time Hazard or Oscar take them it usually fails to beat the first man. underdrog and Rambo
