DH1988 1,348
PSG in talks to sign Mata apparently according to l'equipe£40m and I'd snatch their hands off! Not a Jose player, we know that, get him sold and get clause in there that he can't come back to England unless its to us!

polo 18
He is in a fight with Oscar for the Number 10 role in my opinion as when he is played in wider areas he suffers from being too reliant on his left foot .it's incredible he has no right foot. for a Professional
Bluelsthecolour 61
Mata to PSG and Zlatan to us + some cash? I wouldnt cry. I would cry though if he were to go to United for 35m euros.

I would cry though if he were to go to United for 35m euros.Would have to be at least £20m for it to be fair though. Mata is around £35-£45m atm while Ibra is £20m max. gr123 167
Mata is currently holding talks with PSG apparently.. Really, really don't want him to go but if he's going to be left to rot on the bench then id rather we got a large lump of cash for him. Rather PSG than an English club anyway. Gilvorak 3,734
Lets just say if we don't win the treble this season, half the fans will turn on Mourinho if Mata is sold.Mourinho fanboys will agree with any decision he makes of course but you can exclude me from that group. drog.ba

Not a Jose player, we know that, get him sold and get clause in there that he can't come back to England unless its to us! fuck that, he's the best player in the league, Bale went for £85m, Mata's better, any deal for him would have to come close to that. He hit 20 goals, 35 assists for us last season, who can we get in for £40m who'll replace that?what exactly is a Jose player? someone uncreative, who doesn't score goals and assist? all this stuff about his lack of mobility is nonsense too mediator and Amblève.
coolhead23 1,147
It would be rather stupid on our part to let go of Mata in the place, you dont let your best players go else it sends out the wrong message to everyone. Imagine if we get someone who has the potential of replacing Oscar in the next 2 years, then we would have to sell off Oscar as well or Hazard for that matter ... didierforever 7,349
how many of us expected mata to start the1st game - 0. he was injured, unfit and had barely played in the pre-season2nd game - he did start and did look in dire minutes of need.3rd game - OT. away game at the home of the champions. mou set us up in a counter attacking strat, and we had better players than mata for the match, specially considering his form and fitness. a sub appearance would have sufficed but by the 70th minute we were not looking for a win, just a draw.4th game - mou could have given mata a start but again the way he set us up was not on mata's strength. and it worked. i have no doubt that mata would have been a sub in the match but after rambo's red card, he would have been a waste. so, i seriously dont see what people are crying about. we have a big squad with very different type of players. mou is using all the resources at his disposal as he deems correct. i have no doubt that mata will start almost every home game that we would be attacking and controlling the play. its not every day that u play the champions of england and champions of europe back to back. these fixtures came in at the wrong time otherwise there would not have been any speculation. i am pretty sure, mata is very much is jose's plans and dont expect him to go anywhere, anytime soon. The same way if we sign Bale/Ronaldo Hazard can leave. If there is a better player available than our current players, then why not buy them? BleedsBlue 1,549
If he leaves this season then there will be some serious unrest in the Chelsea camp. Jose please don't fuck this up.

This is not FIFA13, this is real life ... it takes time to set up a team and very ease to break it ... Stingray

Yes it takes time but of course you would exchange your players for a better one? Are you saying for the sake of chem if Ronaldo was for sale and wanted to come here we should not sign him because Hazard might want to leave? Jose please don't fuck this up.Will there be?I mean, lets not act like we have not sent true talent away before. Robben was swept away in the night before even getting a chance to say goodbye. Malouda, a hero during our double just 2 years earlier, was sent to Rot in the reserves as a guy like Benayoun got first team action a season after saying he didnt give a damn about our club. This is simply business, and the players know that. It's up to Mourinho IMO and how he wants to use Mata. If he sees him as a fairly regular starter, then we should hold on to him. If he sees him as a squad player, then we should sell him. zolayes, CHOULO19, Mouri_Matic and 2 others
