Yeah that'll help the team.

I personally don't agree with booing but my stance on others doing it is this. Fans spend their hard earned money to attend games, some spend beyond what they reasonably should, some probably don't have a brilliant quality of life outside of attending Chelsea games because that's where all their disposable income goes.

If they want to show their annoyance with his behaviour I absolutely won't be holding it as a black mark against them. Unless ofcourse it gets personal or god for bid worse but that's a totally different argument.

Well...his comments did not help the team. Mentality and preparation are massive parts of the game. Two of which have been significantly disrupted by Lukaku.

He deserves to get boo’d

So because his comments ''didnt help the team'' and Tuchel has said its all over, you now think its ok to make it worse for the team ''hoping fans will boo him''.

Yeah, that doesnt sound mental at all.

Agree its ok to boo - but fucking ridiculous doing it to your own team imo. We had that with the new breed of fans 2006-7 when in the Shed and West Upper they would boo if we hadnt scored at half time. Complete spoilt muppets, but thats glory hunters as they were called by some

Not buying it. Now the air has been cleared allegedly.

For me, Tuchel pushed for this move. I’ve seen enough to suggest it.

Simon Johnson seems to suggest it was more of the club's signing according to this latest podcast (from 22:54):

https://podfollow.com/1488521447/episode/fad6dc858962d3bdb1b704a88596f8df86771794/view

"Tuchel was on the phone to Romelu as part of the process to sign him. Of course Tuchel would have loved to sign Haaland, who was probably his first choice.

You would sort of say "Does Lukaku tick all of Tuchel's boxes?". No but can Lukaku make an improvement on this Chelsea side? Yes. The club always wanted to sign to Lukaku again. They showed that in 2017. It was the best player they could get at the time. It's up to Lukaku and Tuchel to make it work."

On a side note, The Athletic's Adam Crafton pointed out that Lukaku has a high school degree in PR, which makes this whole fiasco even more hilarious.

It was interesting that when asked whether Lukaku has a long term future at the club, Tuchel said "ask him (Lukaku)" and then just cited his long term contract. One of the journalists also pointed out that Lukaku has never stayed for many years at a club, citing only 2 years each at United and then Inter. Funnily enough, his longest term at a club was at Everton and one of those seasons was a loan deal.

No one seemed to mind when it was Sarri and Jorginho.

Like i said I don't agree with it myself and hope the reaction will be indifference but if someone using their hard earned money to go tomorow want to show their annoyance with the guy I won't be arguing with them.

If managers are shit they will get stick - this is usually with a specific song -eg the Avram Grant sack of shit.

Booing players is a no no in my book.

This is what will happen, there will be a few ironic boos when Lukaku touches the ball, followed by big grins.

Going tomorrow Tomo are you ?

Scores a handfull of goals up to the new year and i was blasted for weeks on here being told 'lukaku isnt a big game player but will score against all the lesser sides'

Dear oh dear

The straws are being clutched at down the barn!

If he doesnt help to win the next few games he really has got to go in the summer.

Even le arse are now being linked with better strikers etc.

No lol that last bit was a figure of speech.

But when I do I pay a shit load to get there and unless it's a 3 o clock kick off i have to stay in London overnight (due to infrequent transport where I am), then there's the ticket, food etc, at best I'm talking £200 a visit. If someone's doing similar tomorrow and feels Lukaku has took the piss out of the club and shows their frustration, then I personally think it's fair game aslong as it all remains strictly in a professional sense.
