HD3D 1,038
It's a shame. The kid had the potential to be a real star but his lack of brains would have done us more harm than good.Upon visiting Stamford Bridge in 2009, Lukaku said βWhat a stadium. If one day in my life I will cry, it will be the day I play here. I love Chelsea.β. But success at Everton success has made him arrogant, he lost his humility, he claimed his childhood hero was Drogba but now he has thrown in the trashcan the opportunity to be personally tutored by his biggest idol and the chance to one day outshine him, because he believes he's too good and the club should be kissing his feet.Good luck to him. BenIsLegend 475
Couldn't make it 'just yet' I'd say... Let's follow up the next few months / yearsI expect him to move to a proper top European CL club in 2 years (when he would actually be ready for nr 1/2 spot)So whats the problem here? We would have welcomed him as second choice ST since even you yourself say he isn't ready for a number 1 spot? If he is as good as you say he is then he would have been a number one choice in two years time but instead he ran off to Everton. For a big club like Chelsea giving their second choice ST to someone the age of Lukaku is a big deal.

burrogol 16
Exactly. So why are you whining about his situation at CFC then?I'm not whining about his (ex) CFC situation? It only makes sense IMO for all parties. I only dislike people bogus explanations/hatred based on torn paparazzo / ' Mourinho insiders' statements. Good riddance, for all parties IMO... BlueLyon 9,359
Getting Drogba now looks even pointless.Love Drogba, but he is 36 yo and cant count as backup. He is just a striker who should jump in for max 5 games. With Lukaku gone, and that to Everton, another Pl club, its just ridiculous. In that case the fee should be 30m+...If we dont get another striker and stick to Costa, Torres and Drogba I think its safe to say PL or CL will be damn hard to win. Costa cant play all the time... burrogol 16
All clubs are 'fighting' ffp....we're just doing a damn good job of winning that fight.Lukaku is a decent striker who simply couldn't make it at a top European club. He'll be happier at Everton where there's less competition and less expectation.http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9400945/ffp-a-factor-in-lukaku-saleThis one's for you Dr Phil! ;-)
different level 1,056
I couldn't support any club who doesn't know about growing footballers -and the importance of playing time, education and patience which come with it.Ps/ I support a club who has grown Lukaku, Kompany, Januzaj, Musonda and Thielemans in very recent times. Good luck with your 'superstar' bunch... No way Jose lol! Then what are you doing here? There are not many (any) good Anderlecht forums around are there? Myself 793
he has left us to PLAYHe would get playing time here, too.Courtois justifies a big mouth, he's one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Lukaku doesn't.

The real problem is our 2nd striker: Torres. We must get rid of him and get a great 2nd striker who wants to be a back-up, Bony/Remy would be perfect. Costa, Bony/Remy, Drogba sounds good imo. Fantastic by the club.
