At the end of the day it counts as a trophy alot might say its nothing but if we had won everyone would of said we are the Queen of Europe.

Man is a hero, how many 20 year old strikers do you see take a penalty in a HUGE European final ahead of the likes of Torres, JT, whoever else. I feel for him, hes a proper Chelsea fan through and through, I was more or less in tears after his penalty, he will be hurting the most, I really feel for him, its a big kick in the nuts to his confidence, guys like Romelu, Andre and David are so positive and so enthusiastic, I hope this doesn't get him down but it makes him work harder and he comes back stronger. I understand your frustration mate, but you have to move on and look at the bigger picture. We nearly beat Bayern with 10 men, Torres scored a stunner, Eto'o is a Chelsea player, Mou is back and so will the glory days. By next May, you won't even remember what this trophy was called and when we played for it. Head up.

He was shocking. No threat upfront but it was his defensive work rate that angered me. Couldn't be arsed to close down players.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him go out loan.

With Eto'o here now and Torres clearly being favoured over him I can't see him getting enough game time this year.

he played as a right back for the last 10 minutes. we used the very formation rdm used against barca. 6-3-0 with oscar-mikel-lamps while lukaku and hazard as 2nd full backs. so who did you want him to close down?? need to get off the stuff you are on dude...

Thought he did very well when he came on, difficult circumstances but he managed to get on the ball a few times and harried their defenders, would have liked to see him come on before the red as I feel he could have had more of an impact. I think the penalty will be good for him in the long run, better now than in the champions league final and it will drive him on to prove himself in the coming games. Being only 20 and taking the decisive penalty in a European cup final says it all about him really.

Not exactly. If you look at since the UEFA Super Cup being changed to just one game, then yeah. But otherwise, we are not. Bayern lost the Super Cup twice in a row back in 1975 and 1976.

I love this game but this was absolutley the wrong game for him. I cannot belive Im saying this, but its the truth: subbing Torres for Lukaku was a mistake looking at the game picture. We had one goal up and were defending deep. Torres actually does that quite well, so i dont see why we put Lukaku. For me it was the wrong time to get him on.

Tough for him to miss that penalty, it was a really poor shot but im glad Jose showed him that trust.

He'll come back stronger!
