He's still young with a lot of potential and the worst case scenario is that his value keeps increasing.The contract doesn't necessarily mean that he's staying, but along with what he said and the fact that he was the only outfield player scheduled to play 70 minutes last night, I think it's safe to say that Jose is at least evaluating whether to keep him or not. Jype 6,398 Posted July 17, 2014 Share Posted July 17, 2014 Good news IMO, as a Mikel replacement for the backup DM role we could do a lot worse.Romeu's wages are not that high so keeping him around won't cost the club a lot of money but in case he really manages to put the injuries behind him and starts fulfilling his huge potential he could end up being a very valuable player for us for little money, compared to what keeping Mikel let alone signing a player like Khedira would cost us. He knows that Romeu has the talent and instead of selling him now for a small fee,he could go for a bigger amount if he has a good loan spell.
