Mourinho said he only needs to watch a player for 10 minutes to see if he's ready or not for the big stage. Wonder how did he figure out that Oscar should be kept at the expense of Kevin De Bruyne when there's clearly a big difference between the two of them. And you don't have to be a pro to see that.

Utter rubbish, but the silver lining in all this is that we stay away from Europa League places.

That bench

AHAHAHAHAAHAHAH

Cresswell?!

Get in Andy Carroll !! Great match

Worrying that no left back is mentioned. We need a quality one! Hopefully it will not be two new centre-halves, Ivan on the right and Azpi on the left... If he is to stay into the starting lineup, Ivanovic must play as a centre back only and nothing more than that.

Every day that goes by I get the feeling that he is closer to Real Madrid than Man United. Madrid will probably get past Wolfsburg, but that's about it, can't see them going all the way. And frankly even if they did beat Barcelona a week ago, league is over for them. That will make it two seasons in a row w/o a single trophy. They will be in for major changes in the summer, no doubt about it. While Man United, although they have not been at their best, Van Gaal has had to deal with lots of injuries during the entire season. Still, they are in for a Champions League spot and I get this feeling that if they are to finish in top 4, then Van Gaal will stay put for another season.

Agree, I do not think he is Chelsea quality either. Feeling is that Greeks tend to overhype him just like Romanians do with Chiriches. Although the bullshit our journalists write is taken to a new level. Or I must say used to be taken to a new level when we was playing for Spurs. At that time, Romanian outlets was constantly linking him to Chelsea, although English papers was quiet and you couldn't hear a thing about that "supposed" transfer. Imagine as a Chelsea fan to have to read every week that "Chelsea is desperate to land Chiriches", "Mourinho has found Terry's heir" and lots of other bullshit. When the truth is that Chiriches is Championship level and nowadays can't kick a ball for Napoli. But he used to play for media darlings Steaua Bucharest and only got to play for Tottenham because of a shady business between his agent that is now in prison, Ioan Becali and Tottenham's Director of Football, Franco Baldini, another shady character in world football.

Apparently Greek side Olympiakos, his former club, still owns 50% of his footballing rights until September this year. So if he is to be sold this summer, Roma will only get half the money. This is why they are now trying to renew his contract and wait for that clause in his contract to expire in September. Can't see him move anywhere this summer unless Roma do something and buy the rest of his rights.

Chelsea did not deserve to get past Paris, ok, but still, they are a bunch of arrogant twats. The way they've celebrated this tie against City is ludicrous. What about now you fucking inbred cunts, self proclaimed superpower that has never gotten past the quarter finals? City will definitely score at the Etihad and I would love to see them going through. As for the semis - they are decent, but harmless, not good enough to make it all the way. Not only Barcelona and Bayern, but Atletico would do them as well.
-
Welcome mister! There is a lot of things to be done at this club, but first and foremost sell the deadwood. Good luck and see you after the Euros.
-
Yeah I get you, but even so, I'd rather Conte prepare an EPL game for a full six or seven days with the entire squad than have to train three days for an away game in Switzerland or Czech Republic, then come back home and in the remaining three days to get ready for Arsenal or City. Plus it'd help him accomodate with English teams faster, would have more time for video analysis and stuff.

So it's official, Sabatini will leave Roma in the summer. But what next? I've seen different Italian outlets linking him to Bologna (with Pantaleo Corvino going the other way). Also did Walter Sabatini really mean what he said last night, that he will definitely not come to England because his English is poor? Was he serious or was he joking? Because I've seen different quotes on the exact same subject, others made me think he's joking & laughing, others that he's not considering an offer from England at this point. What do you think, will he rest in Italy afterall or choose something new abroad? Is his relationship with Conte close enough to surpass the language barrier and come to Chelsea and help him in what is an important summer in terms of arrivals & departures?
-
Every result is ok as long as we stay away from Europa League. Conte needs a quiet season with a lot of training time in between matches and no meaningless trips throughout Europe.
-
Yes and the thing now is that both Chelsea and Boga could, let's say, take advantage of Marseille's current season. I say this because Marseille will probably end in no European competition and next season they will surely revamp the squad. Word in France after last night's game is that Marseille will do everything to take Boga on loan this summer and Boga himself said last night that he used to support Marseille since he was a little kid and no matter what happens Marseille will always be his club. If they can guarantee him a starting spot then it it would be better for all the parties if he can stay in France longer.

That run last night

What a farce, this little guy has basically taken Spanish league by storm, but he can't make the senior squad ahead of Origi, the supposed wonder kid that featured in Ligue 1's worst team of the season. I would not be surprised if that clown in charge of Belgium's NT starts Benteke ahead of Lukaku in France.

Chill man, never meant to sound like I'd blame someone for not reading what others post. It's just that Conte himself said that the 3-5-2 days are over. I find it hard to believe that he'd start his Chelsea revolution by using one tactic in particular that he is fed up with.
-
I think it's for the millionth time this Italian fella here Blue Fox says that Conte ditched the 3-5-2 (deemed it outdated) but no one seems to listen to him...
-
Some impressive stats for Marco van Ginkel as a defensive midfielder. Rock solid, nothing got past him. From all the players on the pitch, only Koke covered more ground than him.
-
Atletico.... meh. Rubbish first half. They defend so deep against this Eindhoven side, it's like they are playing away at Camp Nou.
-
Would absolutely love if it all comes down to the last round and by losing, Chelsea is the one to put the dagger through Spurs' fans heart. Just like Chelsea did in Munich. Bare in mind that Spurs play Newcastle in the last round so Newcastle relegated would be a bonus. Hate those filthy twats. But hopefully Leicester get it wrapped up before that game so Chelsea can give Ranieri a well deserved guard of honour.
-
Didn't Conte try to sign him in 2013 while at Juve?
