  1. I thought the same yesterday when watching Norwich vs Tottenham. Can't say he is a world-class defender, but I think he offers much more at CB than David Luiz, plus he can play LB too. JT won't be here for long and be sure Jose won't replace him with Zouma, Kalas and Omeruo in the next season. Those kids need some time with the team before jumping into the starting eleven. Thumbs up for this move (although I don't know if Jose is even considering bringing Verthongen here) - decent CB and a transfer that would infuriate Spurs fans knowing he is one of their favourite players.
  2. I swear I laugh my head off everytime I see a turkish fan listing Felipe Melo as one of Galatasaray's players that Chelsea should be aware of. Might be one of the best players in that Mickey Mouse championship, I won't deny that, but he has won the fucking Bidone d'oro in his Juventus days, he was the worst player in Serie A, you just can't be afraid and you just can't get beaten by a team who has Felipe Melo in their starting line-up.
  3. As you saw, he did not talk about Falcao in the interview, he talked about him behind the cameras (sort of), when he also joked about Etoo's age, so he might of actually meant it that it is impossible to sign him. As I stated in the Falcao topic, he is my favourite CF and I won't change my opinion and as much as I want him here, at the same time I'm worried about his knee injuries. Back in 2006 he suffered the same injury (torn ACL), but at the right knee. Now, it's the left knee, so basically we have a player who suffered horrible injuries at his both knees. I'm not a doctor, but this can't be good, this is one of the worst injuries you can get as a football player. For some it's even a miracle to be back at their highest level. Add to this the money Monaco would demand and Falcao's wages and this transfer seems impossible, as Jose said. But I wonder - no Cavani, no Falcao, no Rooney. Then who? Benzema (with Suarez going to Madrid)? Diego Costa? Balotelli? Jackson Martinez?
  4. Only 600 km between Bucharest and Istanbul (7 hour drive) and I'll be in the stands for this one. Buzzing My uncle works for a company that has, among others, Galatasaray and Bayer Leverkusen as their partners and got me four tickets. Mancini really improved their defence since he signed for Galatasaray. An italian coach vs Mourinho should result in a low-scoring affair. I'm hoping for a 0-1, 0-2 (1-1 would not be bad either) -------------Eto'o------------- Schurrle-------------Hazard -------------Willian----------- ----------Luiz----Rami------- Azpi---JT--Cahill--Ivanovic -------------Cech-------------
  5. First attempt on target in the 80th minute. Champions League nights for Liverpool in the next season. Fuck.
  6. haha, that pause from Jose at 00:46. I think he wanted to say: "and because I know our strikers are shit". Just found a diplomatic way to say it http://www.dailymotion.com/unCFCTV#video=x1d298k
  7. Watched the last five minutes again and did a little screen capture
  8. You won't find another source more trustworthy than SPORT.ES when it comes to Varane's release clause because Sport is "Barcelona's newspaper" (it defines itself as the newspaper of the supporters of FC Barcelona, its slogan being "Sempre amb el Barca" (always with Barca in Catalan) and Barcelona did triggered Varane's release clause last summer, but the player did not want to hear about moving to Real Madrid's biggest rival. I can trust them about the release clause, but I can't guarantee about the quality of that article, spanish media is so fucked up.
  9. LEGEND TO LEGEND! Massive points here and now that City isn't playing any PL game till 15th of March we have to go nine points clear ahead of them so that they can start feeling the pressure. Arsenal also have some big games coming - Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, Stoke (A) and City (H) man of the match - Azpi (51%), Matic (49%)
  10. You give us Varane and we have a deal Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois chosen by Real Madrid to replace Iker Casillas [AS] Aged 21, Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is one already one of the best keepers in the world, despite being yet to get a game at Stamford Bridge. The young Belgian has been on loan at Atletico Madrid since 2011, building his reputation and increasing his value. According to reports in Spanish newspaper AS, Real Madrid have made contact with Chelsea regarding the future of Thibaut Courtois. Negotiations are underway but Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly a big fan of the young goalkeeper, who he sees as a replacement for Petr Cech. Atletico Madrid are also very interested in signing Courtois on a permanent basis, but may not have the funds to compete with their Madrid neighbours
  11. right hand man in the sporting area? BRING BACK THE DROG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. You do realize those were clear red card fouls, don't you? What has Uefa to do with Iniesta being such a genius to trigger that superb pass, lazy Monreal to lose his man and Szczesny to foul Robben? Arjen is one of my favourites players and thank God he wasn't injured by Szczesny, that was a reckless challenge and it could have ended with a horror injury.
  13. Edinson Cavani will be a Chelsea player before the World Cup in Brazil starts This is an article from Uruguay based newspaper El Pais "The uruguayan reporter based in London, Álvaro Levrero, informed us that Edinson Cavani will be a Chelsea player at the end of this season, right before the start of the World Cup." £50M the reported fee
  14. Can't blame him on his curent form, he is only playing at 50% of his potential and he is often left for dead in the offensive part of the pitch because of a defensive-minded Azpi at LB (especially in the away games). Every world-class winger needs a solid full-back partner so that he can fulfill his potential - Cristiano has Marcelo, Ribery and Robben have Alaba and Lahm, Reus has Schmelzer etc. Eden is a different player when he has a proper left-back (Ash) to partner him and I can't wait for the next season to see him play alongside Luke Shaw
  15. Makes me nervous just thinking Matic isn't available for Champions League selection and we have this guy to kinda replace him. No more FA Cup and COC so I hope Jose will go for a Luiz-Ramires-Oscar midfield in this Champions League campaign
  16. This guy is an enigma - a liability at CB, but a solid DLP. He is the perfect CB for the likes of Barcelona and Bayern and I think his fate will be decided in the summer - keep him to partner Matic in the pivot or sell him and bring a world class defender to replace him in the squad and JT in the starting line-up at the same time.
  17. Mikel 4 votes, Hazard 4 votes, Ramires 1 vote. I must have watched a completely different game I guess... Fair play to City, they were the better team in every aspect of the game, unfortunately we showed no desire for this trophy and tonight we were just sparring partners for them. Not a good week for us, thank God it has finished and we can now move on and start concentrating on our last two trophies we are in for. The fact JT was missing was a HUGE HUGE BLOW, we are "addicted" to him this season, just like we are "addicted" to Luiz playing as defensive midfielder in big games. (I just pray to God that Jose will play David Luiz in the midfield in this Champions League campaign, instead of Mikel)
  18. That's now three goals in two games after his supposed transfer to Chelsea. Scored a couple last week away in Split and another one today against Dragovoljac. 9 goals in 18 appearances this season, highest goalscoring midfielder in Croatia.
  19. --------------Torres-------------- Hazard-------------------Willian ----------------Rami-------------- ---------Matic-------Luiz--------- Ash-----JT-----Ivanovic---Azpi ---------------Mark---------------
  20. Corrected for you, that's the type of player you are talking about - world class attacking, defending, passing, tackling, shooting at the same time (heard they are talking about him as the best modern box-to-box midfielder in some reputable football academies around the world). I agree with you, Ramires is an average midfielder with huge stamina, but he is the type of player Jose loves to have in his team, a true soldier and I'm afraid this compensates for his poor passing, shooting etc. Still, I would not mind Ramires + €25-30M for Vidal, but this won't happen, it is Mikel who will leave this summer rather than Rami.
  21. There's a word here in Romania saying "you're either a horse or a donkey, pick one, you can't be both" referring to those willing to do so many things at once but somehow fail to do so or to those who are irresolute and don't know what path to choose in their life. That's the case here, you can't play both possession football and counter-attacking football at the same time, that would be the perfect football team and we know there is no such thing. We have to stick to a philosophy and that is counter-attacking football. We all love Jose, we all wanted him back and that's because we didn't play our best football in the last years. Now he's back and we're looking just fine, let's support him and his philosophy. Matches like this happen every season, this is the beauty of football, I'd be so fucking bored supporting Barcelona or Bayern de Munich, playing training matches every week against Almeria, Elche and Braunshweig and waiting for the games against Madrid, Borussia and Champions League football to have proper football feelings like, you know, fear of losing, fear of conceding a goal in the dying minutes etc Not the best day at the office for the boys, but fuck the result, let's move on and beat City once again and hope United and Sunderland will save our asses this round.
  22. I don't know about you, but I'm feeling that now Eden is, on a reduced scale of course, what Messi and Ronaldo are for Barcelona and Madrid in terms of what other teams/fans think when playing us. Something like "Fuck, we're playing Chelsea. Fuck no, there's Hazard too. We're screwed..."
  23. Waiting is finally over. I'll add this beauty to my collection in few days. Buzzing
  24. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9159254/transfer-news-thiago-silva-would-like-to-see-eden-hazard-at-paris-st-germain Oh Thiago Silva, just shut the fuck up I was watching Monaco - Paris last night broadcasted live by a Romanian TV station and those commentators were talking about Eden to Paris like it was a done deal. I swear, Romanian journos are so amateur when it comes to this occupation, all the breaking news in this country are quotes from sportskeeda, tribalfootball, goal, daily mail etc.
