  1. Cristiano voting Falcao as his 1st pick for the Ballon D'or, over Bale and Ozil. Yeah, fucking sublime Florentino, should have seen this one coming. I wonder how the articles in the media will look when you'll be after Falcao in the summer: "The Colombian is thought to choose a move to Madrid as everybody loves him there, including Cristiano who, in appreciation for his abilities, voted him for the Ballon D'or."
  2. of course he is not in the squad for tonights game, he is suspended for his 5th yellow card against Lazio. Jose said he is not interested in him nor in Jackson Martinez, that's enough for me
  3. Put it that way, but it could have been the other side of the coin too, with him ending up in Kosice or some mid-table team in Portugal. Hats off to a guy that never gave up even though some of Roman's trustful employees threw him away like a rotten tooth. You need guts to go back to the "crime scene", but I really feel this guy is so eager to prove he is Chelsea material that this transfer could turn into a superb one.
  4. I'd love to see the look on Tenenbaum and Gourlay's face when Matic arrives back to Cobham.
  5. Jorge Jesus on Matic: "If Matic is leaving? I would be the last to know. We've always sold players and we have to live with it."
  6. and if something REALLY REALLY bad happens there will always be Roman's friends, the oligarchs (Rybolovlev, to name one), who will throw a bid just for the sake of it.
  7. Saul is a midfielder, can play as an anchorman too and he is highly rated in Spain, top talent, no doubt about it, Atletico have hit the jackpot with him and Oliver Torres, two magicians, but I don't know why the fuck we're being linked with yet another young midfielder when there is so much raw talent coming from the youth ranks (Baker, Chalobah, Swift, Loftus-Cheek, van Ginkel too).
  8. We came. We saw. We conquered. Things starting to shape up well and defence looks rock solid this days. Move on now, big game coming. Hazard motm
  9. He is not coming!! YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
  10. Now I see. Would have been too easy I guess and this saga has "go the hard way!" written all over it.
  11. there is an exclusive article in The Times saying that talks over a new deal have failed to get off the ground, and Rooney is flattered by Chelsea's continuing interest. Can't read the entire article though And I've found something interesting in The Telegraph: "Even if United refuse to sell, Rooney would have the option of exploring the possibility of buying himself out of the final year of his contract. Under Article 17 of Fifa’s regulations for the status and transfer of players, a player who signed a contract before the age of 28 is entitled to buy himself out of the contract three years after the deal was signed.Rooney was 24 when he signed his last United contract on Oct 22, 2010, so his so-called ‘protected period’ officially ended on Oct 22, 2013.To avoid Fifa sanctions, Rooney would have to serve United with his intention to leave within 15 days of the final Premier League game of the season on May 11.Such a move would be costly to Rooney, whose United deal is worth £250,000 a week, but he could demand a huge signing on fee by effectively moving as a free agent.United are seventh in the Premier League table, five points behind fourth-placed Liverpool and have lost their last three games. Chelsea are third, two points off leaders Arsenal and have won their last four matches." Now, I don't really know the rules, but "buying himself out of the final year of his contract" I think it means paying United those 12 months he is left in his contract. 12 months x £250,000 a week equals a total of £12million. I don't really expect Rooney to pay that from his own money, if you know what I mean, but sounds like a good deal for me. Add £8million to that, his signing on fee, and this would go to a total of £20million deal. Good piece of business if you ask me, he'll be 29 in the next season though, but still with two or three top seasons in his pocket.
  12. It seems Benfica is in need of money and they are willing to let some players go this winter. They have already opened talks with United for Garay and Zenit for Rodrigo. Hope will be in for Matic in the next days too. I'm a bit concerned with City wanting him too, but I'm willing on his wish to come back and prove he is a Chelsea material. Time for Emenalo to pay for his mistake and give the guy the chance that he deserves.
  13. fuck TFC, outbid them and offer Roma £70million plus Hazard and Mata and bring this world class dlp where he belongs. Fucking pricks they thought they could steal the ultimate dlp from us
  14. He has agreed terms for a new two-year deal at Madrid. Heard PSG was offering him a three-year deal worth €10m per year. Would have been a great addition for us, but even if he would have been available I don't think Chelsea was willing to pay that money for his contract. Now let's focus on bringing Matic here.
  15. You must be kidding when replacing Willian with De Maria and thinking that Coentrao will ever get near this team or Stamford Bridge.
  16. Madrid is a whole new team since he has come back from his injury and he was in superb form since then, he is truly the Commanding General in that area of the field for Madrid. Still world class, no doubt about it and he has fully recovered from that surgery he suffered in the summer, but now he has to deal with another problem - he has picked up a knock in his ear during the game against Valencia last month and his eardrum was ruptured. Although everything seemed to be ok, he is now dealing with another problem as "he feels uncomfortable and his ear hurts everytime there is noise around him" (quote from Carlo). This is why he was substituted at half time against Celta de Vigo, because of the noise inside the stadium that he couldn't deal with. He is out for the next game and he will undergo further tests on that eardrum problem.
  17. Mate, I read that article in O Jogo yesterday about Benfica willing to let Matic go in this transfer window. O Jogo was saying Benfica decided to let him go because of the early Champions League exit and some financial problems the club is dealing with. What about those financial problems? What is all about? O Jogo say that the sale of Matic would ease financial pressures and give Benfica some fiscal breathing space for a while. Now, with all this financial problems I don't think anyone will pay 30m, maybe 20-22m will be the right price since Benfica is in need for some money. Also the article said Benfica will listen to offers only after the game against Porto this week-end.
  18. There is no point in talking about Diego Costa being an unproven player. He has lived in the shadow of Falcao and everybody wanted to see if he can hit the jackpot now that Falcao is gone. And he did. Diego Costa is a beast. Falcao was a joy to behold in his Atletico Madrid days and he was maybe a better finisher than Diego Costa, but Costa offers more to this Atletico team. He's not just a poacher, he is a complete forward - he likes to pass the ball, he likes to dribble, he drops deep to get his balls and, my God, his off-the-ball game is unbelievable. He is a nightmare for every defender and I think this Chelsea team suits him best as we're not looking for a poacher, we're looking for a hard working Wayne Rooney type of striker that can be all kinds of things in a game - a poacher, a "10", an "8" and Diego Costa has all this attributes. And another thing: this guy is the Ramires of strikers - his tank is always full and he is always ready to take on opponents. You don't score 23 goals in 21 apps by luck. He is La Liga's topscorer, above the likes of Cristiano, Messi and Benzema. You score 10, let's say 12 goals by luck, but not 23. I think this topic should be closed for now and opened back in the summer because I don't think there is any chance he'll leave in this transfer window. Atletico is fighting for the championship and they welcome Barcelona next week and they will have a chance for sure in case of a positive result. And I don't even know if Costa wants a new challenge now when he is having the time of his life and with the World Cup coming too. Let him net another 15-20 goals this season and trigger his release clause just before the World Cup starts so you don't have to worry about his price exploding in case he is having a hell of a tournament. Or trigger his release clause now, convince him to sign and let him on loan at Atletico for the rest of the season.
  19. fuck me, £50 million for higuain? as much as i hate de laurentiis for the cavani saga, i just hope he'll do the same thing this time too and reject every bid out there. with diego costa available for £32 million how the hell we're even thinking about higuain? costa might not be available in this transfer window, but i'd rather have him in the summer and stick with eto'o, torres and ba untill then, than having higuain near this team.
  20. even if janujaz would win united the league by himself and all those belgians around the globe would have a perfect season, hazard would still be a starter for belgium. he'd even be in the starting line-up even if he'd leave for maldives tomorrow and arrive in brazil with a half an hour before belgium's first game. he is for belgium what cristiano is for portugal, ibrahimovic for sweden and so on. it's hazard we're talking about, not chadli, so that can januzaj threaten his place in the belgium starting line-up
  21. not a fan of video games, but i've had a few seasons with chelsea in football manager 2014. played de bruyne as a CM. two seasons - about 100 games, 10 goals and 90 assists. two times in a row ballon d'or winner, best player in europe two times in a row and world player of the year two times in a row. closest thing to messi you'll find in the game in terms of technique, passing, first touch, dribbling, crossing, creativity, flair (all above 19). haha
  22. you have to get used to it from now on, every chelsea fc target will be a man city target too and vice versa. i'd fancy having zouma too, it simply reminds me of kompany in his anderlecht days
  23. someone should tell those moaning wankers at rawk that even their own idols sakho and coutinho wanted a piece of chelsea fc and asked eto'o and oscar for their shirts
