  1. He could offer 5 years of good service...but if the likes of Chalobah, Romeu keep developing, they could eventually take over from Mikel in the DM position. Mikel is a good DM, considering he was converted from a more attacking position, but the likes of Chalobah, Romeu are natural DM's and I hope they get a chance to stake their place for a first team spot in the next 3 or so seasons..
  2. Definitely agree. I think the only English club who won't make it out of their group is Man City.
  3. Maybe Roman can persuade one of the Russian clubs to take him?
  4. Hopefully we find a PL team that will actually play him week in, week out...I would hate to see another failed loan spell like Swansea. I don't think many of our youths have had successful loan deals in the EPL. PvA failed at Wigan, Kakuta failed at Fulham & Bolton, McEachran couldn't get off the bench at Swansea...the last Chelsea youth that had a decent loan spell in the PL was Mancienne.
  5. Mikel getting a 5-year deal, that's a massive call. I'd rather see him get a 3 year deal.
  6. I just hope we outscore them & win the match.
  7. Actually..alot of people knew about Wilshere. Firstly, he is Wenger's favourite player since Fabregas. Secondly, he was touted as one of the youngsters who could make an impact in the EPL, back in 2010...by 14 of the Premier league managers. McEachran should make it at Chelsea..but he'll be facing competition from some of the best young midfielders (eg. Oscar, KdB, Ramires) in Europe at the moment.
  8. To be fair...Mikel did lose the ball in a similar place on the pitch against Liverpool..whilst AvB was manager..
  9. I'm not sure they want Nando.. I'd say just give them 40 million. We need a top class striker...unlike PSG who have Ibra, or RM who have Benzema/Higuain or City who have Aguero/Tevez/Dzeko.
  10. He didn't play that well against Arsenal, it was more Koscielny who had a pathetic game in defence. Hopefully now that Sturridge is fit, he'll get to start a few games (eg. United in Capital one cup..then Swansea..)
  11. Rubbish performance. The only player who deserves credit is Cech, saved us from a humiliating scoreline. We clearly have defensive problems and United have defensive problems. Hopefully we can outscore them!
  12. If only Torres was more confident & clinical in front of goal, we wouldn't really need to go and sign Falcao.
  13. This. Danny is just special. I honestly would be disgusted if we let him go for 15 million...and then ended up signing a similar but older player in Remy for the same amount. Hope RDM gives him the chance at CF.
  14. Yep, you're right, Mikel was an integral part of that season. I mean, I've bashed Mikel's performances in the past..particularly whilst AvB was our manager but I have to say, it's good to see Mikel prove his critics wrong once again!
  15. Hope we win the CWC. Maybe we can use a few of the fringe first team players.
  16. @, okay, say we sign Biscuits, how do you accomodate Ramires in the starting lineup of 4-2-3-1? Cause I doubt Ramires will grow as a player if he's given a rotation role.
  17. Signing a diving cunt like Biscuits would be a disgrace for Chelsea. What he & Dani Alves have done on the pitch to win certain high-profile matches is an absolute disgrace to football.
  18. I personally would love to see this lineup against Shakhtar: Cech Ivan - Cahill - Terry - Bertrand Mikel - Romeu Mata - Lampard - Hazard Sturridge/Torres
  19. yep..Brilliant free kick! http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xui7h1_real-sociedad-0-1-atletico-madrid_sport?forcedQuality=hq
  20. Well, at least Lukaku had the confidence to take the shots, particularly the overhead kick. He's doing well as a 19 yr old at West Brom. Torres doesn't even want to shoot on goal, he likes crossing or passing the ball nowadays.
  21. Must be hard for Allegri, he's not exactly the most talented manager out there..and then he finds out Milan's two key players have left the club due to debt problems. He's only got one striker to work with in El Shaarawy..cause Pato is unfit half the time and Robinho/Pazzini aren't exactly consistent. I reckon he'll get time at Milan cause everyone expected a big transition phase with Carlo moving on..and quite a few of the older star players leaving/retiring.
