  1. David Villa knew that he would eventually have to be satisfied with a bit-part role at Barcelona. I wouldn't mind Villa joining Chelsea as long as it doesn't stall the progression of Sturridge and Lukaku.
  2. Good move by Milan, they've got good youth facilities from what i've heard and I'm sure Pep will help them become a stronger team in the long term if he's interested in moving to Italy.
  3. Exactly. No point stockpiling talent. Who knows, this kid might be something special..but Ghana aren't exactly known for creating top-class strikers (apart from A. Gyan of recent times). I'd like to see the kid prove himself in a stronger league..
  4. I've seen a number of French League games, particularly Marseille & PSG matches and I have to say, Remy is a decent player but he'll be nothing more than a stop-gap solution. I think we should see how Sturridge performs at CF with the likes of Hazard, Oscar, Mata feeding him wonderful passes before we try to sign a 2nd/3rd choice striker in January.
  5. Liverpool's former scout Mr. Damien Comolli used statistics, made three of the worst signings in the premier league of recent times and then got the sack. I'll be glad if Remy doesn't come to Chelsea.
  6. Toure only moved for the money & Sahin joined Liverpool cause Rodgers asked for a favour from Mourinho.
  7. Everton won't need Fellaini against QPR.
  8. Bolton haven't done well since Big Sam resigned from the job back in 2007. He led them to 6th and 7th position in consecutive seasons, I even remember at one point, Bolton almost knocked Arsenal/Liverpool out of the UCL qualification places. Then Megson came, Bolton finished between positions 13-16..and eventually, the inevitable had to happen, they got relegated, which is a good thing, now they can freshen up their squad and who knows, they might come back to EPL as strong as Newcastle.
  9. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1185425/qpr%27s-hughes-%27has-two-months-to-save-job%27?cc=3436 Well..Sparky apparently has 2 months to save his job. He did well at Blackburn..but he screwed up at City by buying too many players & now he's screwed at QPR cause he bought too many new players in such a short period of time.
  10. I don't know about Neymar in the Premier League..I just think he's more suited to Spain or France. He'll either be a huge hit or he'll be eaten alive by defenders/referees in England.
  11. Cavani would probably be more expensive than Falcao...cause Atletico Madrid have serious debt issues....and in Spain, unless you are Barcelona or Real Madrid, you gotta sell your best players.
  12. Don't wanna get banned for going off-topic...but if we are looking at Marseille players, André Ayew would be a better option than Remy.
  13. I just hope Malouda leaves Chelsea for one last hoorah in Brazil or back in the French League.
  14. I still can't believe Bertrand made it through to Chelsea's first team. Was getting worried with all the loan spells to Championship-level clubs but all that experience has made him a better player.
  15. Even if McEachran doesn't make it initially, we can sell him with a buy-back clause.
  16. Torres was a panic buy. We could of signed a younger, more talented striker instead of Torres for 50 million. As for your comparison to Anelka, he was only signed for 15 million & he provided us with an effective rotational option at CF, SS, RW, LW. Torres looked pathetic in the 'rotation' role...hence we could have saved 50 million and signed a top-class striker who doesn't require good service at all times in order to score goals.
  17. I heard Paul Doyle is a closet Spurs supporter.
  18. We don't even know if Romeu is going to stay at Chelsea long term.
  19. He's not cup-tied. According to UEFA regulations: A player that has played in the Europa League can play for another club in the Champions League, but only from the Round of 16, providing he was registered prior to the deadline. Clubs may only register one such player, and if the A list is already full, they must remove a player to register another.
  20. Malouda won Ligue 1 player of the season back in 06-07. He also won Player of the month in March 2010...I don't recall him winning 'player of the season' accolades but I could be wrong as I haven't kept track of Chelsea's recent end of season award recipients.
  21. I don't see any proof of Wenger losing it. He just rates Cazorla as a top-class player. I don't like Arsenal but they've done well to sign top players like Cazorla & Podolski.
  22. Florent Malouda was a good player for Chelsea FC in his prime. I don't recall him being our 'best player' in the 09/10 season..but he was an instrumental part of winning the title that season.
  23. Cech Ivan - Luiz - Cahill - Cole Ramires - Lamps - Mikel Mata ------ Hazard Torres. Oscar is a talented player...but Lampard has got to start against AvB.
  24. There is something we agree on! My only worry is that, if we do happen to sign Falcao for a hefty price, then Sturridge will be gone Torres and Sturridge may not the best strikers out there...but both of them will score goals when given the opportunity. Torres is still a class striker & Sturridge has the potential to be a solid striker.
  25. Wasn't wages part of the reason why we ended up failing to sign Aguero? I wouldn't be surprised if Falcao joins City for the money, they could easily offer him 200 - 225k a week.
