Why would they do that? Dumping Malouda was a step in the right direction for Chelsea's new system and youthful talents.

Luiz just needs discipline, someone experienced with a cool head. He tends to do better with a 'leader' playing alongside him. eg. Luisao at Benfica, Thiago Silva for the Brazil NT, Terry at Chelsea... But i agree that Luiz has been below par of recent times.

I never understood the Benayoun signing. We pay like 5 million, play him in like 5 games and then loan him out to a rival London club for the rest of the season (we actually strengthened Arsenal's squad depth by loaning Yossi to them). And then this season, we loan him out to West Ham. Hopefully Essien does come back and stay at Chelsea. He'll add depth to our DM/CM positions as well as extra cover at RB/LB in case of emergency. Kakuta just seems better suited for a mid table club, as in, somewhere he'll be able to "express himself" without too much pressure. Your right about KDB, can't wait to see him play for Chelsea.

We should just play Luiz with Terry or Ivanovic alongside him. Whenever he plays with Cahill, it's like both of them become shite defenders and we start leaking goals.

How would you know that Bamford is "10 times the finisher that Lukaku is"?....Bamford's only ever played in the reserve or youth teams. There are plenty of young strikers who score goals for fun in the youth or reserve set up...but most of them end up getting sold for a minimal fee to a lower level club or released on a free transfer. As for the price-tag comparison, Lukaku has the ability to be a class talent and a starting forward for most EPL sides. Bamford is just a homegrown kid, he'll either make the bench at Chelsea OR he'll be playing Championship level football in his mid 20's.
-
Scholes never left United though, he just 'retired' and joined United's youth coaching team.
-
I could never accept Darren Bent playing for Chelsea. He's a former Spurs striker. Let's invest in a youngster with plenty of ability...someone like Aubameyang in the summer. @SeB, your the french league expert on this forum, what's your opinion on Aubameyang, could he play for a club like Chelsea?

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2012/11/inter-agree-deal-for-villarreal-forward/ Not sure if this rumour is true..but Inter are doing well in the transfer market under Stramaccioni.
-
I think Lukaku had a reality check in those games against u-21 players. He was basically a talented young striker, starting to establish himself in Belgium at club and international level..and then he joins Chelsea..and within a few weeks, he gets dumped into the reserves. I'm glad he's learning and making mistakes as a West Brom player. For Bamford, a Championship or even League one loan spell if he's guaranteed first team football.
-
I don't get all the hype surrounding Bamford. He seems like an average striker, will probably end up playing Championship level football in 2-3 years. The striker we should of kept was Borini, that kid just looked a class above the reserves and he seemed to be a pretty handy finisher.

Jovetic, hell yea. Suarez...he won't leave Liverpool yet.. Bony would be a good option in January..my only question: Is Bony clinical enough for a top club like Chelsea?
-
You can't compare Torres to Mikel. Torres has been pathetic since joining Chelsea, we need a replacement asap..hence no one would ask where the fuck is Torres. As for Mikel, realistically speaking, I don't see him leaving Chelsea anytime soon.
-
Hope Sturridge gets a chance in the second half.
-
Where's Mikel?
-
I don't think Atletico would let him leave in January. I wouldn't mind Chelsea signing this guy in January (for the right price): http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1225531/vitesse-striker-wilfried-bony-keen-on-chelsea-move?cc=3436

It's not ALWAYS in Japan. The CWC was held in the United Arab Emirates for 2009 and 2010 editions....and according to FIFA's website, Morocco will be hosting the 2013 & 2014 editions.
-
You never know about Swansea, if they play to their strengths, they could get a point against United. As for the rest of the teams (excluding City), if United DON't win those games, it'll be an added bonus, going into January!
-
Well..eventually either Oscar or De Bruyne will have to play in the pivot (assuming we keep the 4-2-3-1 formation and we don't sign a new CM/DM).
-
You mean city home and away by the end of the season.
-
We should make a bid on Strootman. He seems like the perfect midfielder for Chelsea. He can play CM/DLP or even DM when required.
-
I've never seen him play LB for Schalke in recent times. He's a good defender but I don't see Schalke letting him go for a reasonable price.
-
Exactly. Torres has good link up play, passing ability..etc but when it comes to making runs in the box and his positioning, he stuffs up so many times. I don't get why Torres doesn't make early runs, he'll either receive the ball, cause a save from the GK/score a goal or he'll be called offside. At least he'll get the opposition's defence thinking about his presence on the pitch..
-
Where's Mikel? Fellaini is only doing well for Everton because he's playing as a second striker/attacking midfielder.
-
Clarke's always been known as a defensive specialist in terms of coaching and from what i've heard, he's got a very high footballing IQ. He was part of the reason why we were able to grind out 1-0 results under Mourinho, then he went to Liverpool, helped them defensively and now he finally gets the chance to manage his own club. Hopefully we beat WBA. It'll be a tricky game.

I dont get how Sterling is overrated, he's only 17.
