  1. @Rmpr, How do you know RDM will become a brilliant manager in 4-5 years? That's just estimation. I'd never say no to Pep or Jose..but RDM won the UCL so deserves the chance to coach Chelsea until the end of his current deal. If RDM does well enough, Abramovich will keep him on board...if he doesn't meet Abramovich's standards, then maybe we'll see a new manager at the helm.
  2. Watching Arsenal fail to win another game is just awesome. And City are basically out of UCL in group stages for the second time in a row.
  3. Barcelona's squad depth is crazy. They can afford to rest Messi. At Chelsea, Hazard & Oscar are still adapting to English football and/or learning each others game...hence we'll see some mixed results without Mata.
  4. I think Essien just needed a change of scenery and some words from the Special one to motivate him once more.
  5. Likely Ins: A Striker cause Torres just isn't clinical in front of goal. A DM/CM cause I'm not convinced about Romeu.. My option: Capoue. Likely outs: Malouda to Brazil or France.. Maybe Sturridge?
  6. I personally think Ramires' strongest position would be in a 3 man midfield. That way Mikel does his usual job at DM, Oscar/KDB can control the tempo of the game and Ramires gets a bit of freedom to join the attack or sit back and help out Ivan/Azpi on the right wing against stronger opposition.
  7. I reckon it'll take Lukaku another 2 seasons out on loan before he's ready to play for Chelsea week in week out. He's definitely got talent..but he's a work in project.
  8. Yeh, a CAM, capable of playing on either wing from what i've heard.
  9. Will definitely be a tough call. Stick with RDM or get Pep. Pep should come and manage in the EPL, whether that's Chelsea, City or United (when Fergie finally retires)..but I'd have to say, with his former Barca 'pals' already at City..and the owners high expectations..if Mancini screws up badly, Pep would be the obvious choice to take over.
  10. Yes..but he's been playing a DM/CM role on-loan at Watford..and he's done fairly well for his age. Maybe he could be a long term option at DM for Chelsea.
  11. Gone with RyanDavidson cause his posts were the most informative.
  12. The entire defence had a bad game. I'm not sure about the Cahill-Luiz partnership in general, they just don't look convincing to me.
  13. If Cole isn't fit, Bertrand will have to step up.
  14. Stramaccioni is a young, talented manager who has provided Inter with some fresh ideas. I liked the fact that Moratti decided to promote someone from within the club rather than go sign another experienced manager like Rafa etc. He should do well at Inter with the current squad at his disposal..and he brings the added benefit of knowing all the Inter youth players from his victorious run in the prestigious NextGen series.
  15. I'd rather want Courtois back in England next season. He needs to adapt to the EPL as soon as possible. Cech is a great keeper but competition for the #1 jersey can only be a good thing.
  16. FloMo at his best was awesome to watch & I agree about him being more of a LM/CM..than a pure winger like Robben.
  17. This is so true. This season is Atletico's best chance of qualifying for the UCL since 08/09...losing Falcao in January would end their chances of finishing 3rd or 4th in La Liga.
  18. He's a talent, looks like a good athlete, has a bag of tricks and a pretty strong goal scoring record throughout his career....but anything more than 20-25 million would be a waste of money.
  19. The kid's market value is around 25 million and he's got a contract until 2015, even if we tried to buy him, he wouldn't be available on the cheap. He would be an awesome addition to Chelsea though.
  20. I think two Mexican clubs offered him a Director of Football type of role but he declined the offers before going on his sabbatical because he still wants to be a manager.
  21. Liverpool might be shit..but Suarez is the only senior striker at the club...and he's clearly the best player at the club, they won't sell him. Also, forget about Chicarito, Fergie won't strengthen Chelsea.
  22. I just don't see Cavani leaving in January.
  23. De Rossi won't leave Roma, he already rejected City's massive wage package in the last transfer window. He wants to be a one club icon.
