  1. That's why I don't listen to ESPN commentary anymore. Sky Sports is way better.
  2. Mikel did really well against Spurs. Probably one of his better performances in a Chelsea shirt of recent times.
  3. Ukraine uses the Cyrillic alphabet. Waxtap = Shakhtar.
  4. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1196583/over-200-fans-arrested-after-ruhr-derby-clashes?cc=3436 Massive riots at the Schalke vs Dortmund game.
  5. Messi is just a freak of nature.
  6. Hazard's still adapting to the EPL & working on his understanding with Mata/Oscar. He's only played like 7 EPL games and people are already worried about his place in the Belgium national team. I personally don't think we'll see the best of Hazard for another season or two..just like his Lille manager & quite a few of his Belgium team-mates suggested.
  7. Hope Del Bosque was watching this game. Good game, good win, and a goal for Danny.
  8. No Bale & Dembele. Let's see how good of a manager AvB is.
  9. You can't compare Brana to Belletti. Belletti was a RWB but...he could basically play anywhere on the right side of the pitch during his Barca days, kind of like Dani Alves. I actually think Brana has done well at RB, considering his preference is CB.
  10. Well, he has to take over the RB spot from Brana before he can lead the team... If only Hutchinson didn't go down with a career-threatening injury all those seasons ago, he just seemed tailor-made for the captaincy role, typical English bloke, down to earth, loves the club.
  11. I just don't see Mata being Chelsea's captain. I feel a more intimidating person is needed. Look at United, City, Arsenal & Spurs...all of their captains are intimidating CB's, they know how to control their players, they demand respect..and they look like born leaders like Terry. Mata is a great player but he just seems a bit too quiet and friendly for the role of captain.
  12. Didn't someone call Diouf a sewer rat....says alot about the guy.
  13. Why don't we give Sturridge a chance at CF, like a short run of consistent games? People say Sturridge is selfish, he doesn't look up often enough, so what, he's still a talented striker who knows how to score. If Sturridge simply sucks at CF, then let him go and bring in a new striker like Remy or whoever else is available for around 15 million..
  14. This. I'm not against the signing of Neymar..but we could spend his potentially large transfer fee* and fix our midfield problem for the next decade. *I'm assuming Neymar will go for a ridiculous fee..cause if Moura went for 40+ million to PSG...then Neymar will surely cost in the region of 55 million..
  15. Is there any confirmation about Dembele's fitness?
  16. Inter Milan isn't that bad. They got a good squad, young talented manager & one of Italy's better youth academies. They are just going through a transition period. Anyway, back to Paulinho...if Corinthians want to sell him, hopefully we get him for the right price.
  17. Would have loved if Essien was made Captain or Vice-Captain but that chapter has closed. My picks would be Cech or as a long-shot, David Luiz.
  18. Don't think Neymar will be the best player in the world until Messi is close to retirement and/or he proves himself in a top european league.
  19. I don't see any problems with the selection of Fernando (20) or Sandro (23). Both of them are young, talented DM/CM's who are getting the chance to bond with their international team-mates. I still don't know why Thiago Neves is being selected for the national team, he hasn't lived up to the hype since 2007/08.
  20. I honestly didn't see Spurs beating United. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Spurs beat us, although I expecting a Chelsea victory. :blue scalf:
  21. http://www.sambafoot.com/en/news/37265_corinthians_dismiss_paulinho_to_chelsea_rumours.html Well, Corinthians doesn't want to let him go...
  22. I actually support what Terry did to Sanchez. That guy is a little pest and sometimes as a defender, you gotta play a little rough.
  23. That Germany v Sweden match reminds me of Newcastle's comeback against Arsenal. The look on Wenger's face after the match was priceless.
  24. This. I think he'll be a LFC player sooner rather than later. Rodgers needs a striker & he's willing to give youth a chance, perfect scenario for Sturridge in my opinion.
