We can probably make Yossi and/or Flo useful for this and possible the next couple of games by at least putting them on the bench.

I think we'll deal with the LB position in the summer if Ash doesn't get a new contract. Right now we need a versatile midfielder who can be just as good on the double pivot and among the front 3. Someone like Fellaini perhaps.

Do you think he is better than Ash? I really haven't watched enough Everton matches, but he receives a lot of praise especially for his attacking ability. Is he also that good defensively?

Unless we're getting a world class defender (Sergio Ramos ) I don't think it's necessary and even then we'll probably have to get rid of someone at the back. IMO we should work with what we have, after the JT return, Luiz should remain in the double pivot, Azpi looks established as 1st choice right back at the moment and it's interesting whether he'll keep it or Ivanovic will be back there. It's also interesting who will be partnering JT in the middle.

Will be looking to relieve our wage bill from the likes of him and Benayoun. And Flo's were close to 100k if I remember correctly.
