After watching some incredible performance (at the start of the season and also recently) I am not convinced we have some recurring problem in some part of the pitch. I tend to believe most of the poor performances are due to some of the pressure the players were put and probably some lack of character has been exposed here and there. Also you can add some individual defensive slip ups that are almost always punished by the opposition.
When he plays with Mata and Oscar they are changing their positions constantly to confuse the opposition's defence, but I believe his pace and crossing ability are better suited for the wing in general, although I agree he can play anywhere out wide
I can't believe many people are still comparing him to Kagawa instead of Bale. Eden and the Japanese are nothing alike. Putting the huge difference in talent aside, Hazard is a winger and Kagawa is more of a number 10 man, I guess the only thing they have in common is that they are attack minded.
Nice results for us. So we are trailing City by 4 points, we have 1 more than Spurs (we have a game in hand) and we are 5 ahead of Arsenal. I say let's push the citizens for 2nd and let the North London teams to battle it out for 4th. What do you think?
Demba and Nando are like Batman and Robin of the missed chances, especially if they're both wearing their masks Just kidding, there are games when nothing works for you, I'm sure he'll be better next time out.
We can't count on the other teams to drop points all the time and earn us the top 4 spot. We have to win games, especially the games like the West Ham tie tomorrow.
That's why we need to do our job in the first leg at The Bridge. Also don't forget that Spurs have the same schedule and they are playing in the same time in Switzerland.
Until that Hazard beauty I didn't see a way we could get something out of the match. After that we were definitely the better team and they should consider themselves lucky they didn't lose. So happy with the performance, haven't seen much of that in a while. Thrash them in the replay!
So with Wigan and a championship side (Millwall or Blackburn) progressing to the semis we have a great chance of reaching the final if we get past United (and if we are not unlucky enough to draw City next )
Don't be ashamed. We are one of the two most successful English clubs in the last decade and while the last couple of months are far from appealing, we have some of the most talented young players and the future looks bright
