  1. Wish we had never let him move on That's definite proof of how managerial instability can lead to shocking decisions
  2. Credit where it's due - he looked more composed yesterday - and whilst I don't want him starting every game - he can be great cover and offer something different. That goal last night and the one against Barcelona were awesome - lets see more of that Mr Ramires please
  3. He will start at LB Him and Hazard will work it out on the left Give the guy a chance
  4. He was unlucky with his last kick (could have scored). Love his runs and presence - their defender should have been sent for raising his hands against him - when he backed into him... Think defenders wont relish him and Drogs up-front if we do move to a 3-5-2 against some teams - those guys will just smash through... I know Chelsea TV were scared of Burnley + Leicester - but I think we can beat them and beat them well. Lets school them for 'life in the Premiership' - I think they will both look to attack us (emotion vs rationality) and we should be perfectly set-up to exploit that.
  5. Ok why shouldn't he be? A Captain is the 'Leader' - the guy with experience, the person that drives the team forward, that leads by example, the person that has the will to be a 'winner' (these are all of the qualities I see in JT - and think Fabregas could have by the end of the season) It's also preferable to have the Captain in the middle of the park - as they are involved all of the time - rather than defenders, keepers or forwards... If he continues as he has in Pre-Season - I have no problem with him being Captain when JT steps down. We need to look past the Arsenal link - and think what's the best for Chelsea moving forward...
  6. He just looks scared - rabbit in headlights - I'm sad to say it but 'mentally' I'm not sure he can handle it. There's no denying he can be a great footballer - but it's just not working for him at Chelsea. I'm leaning towards moving the lad on - cant bear to see him like this for a whole season more - it's like he's not enjoying it anymore... I know it's a Pre-season friendly - but he's definitely not the same as the lad we signed - sure he works harder now, bu his vision, passing and link-up play have detoriated badly. Oh well lets see what happens until January... Such a shame though - really hoping he finds some form soon...
  7. Poor again today - he's just so unlucky - he looks like he has caught Torres-itus... Hope next game is better - his luck has to change!
  8. Anybody who doubted this signing is nuts - he is amazing... Great game today...
  9. I still love Italia 90 - that's the best for me Roger Miller
  10. Amen brother... We have the 'dither zone' (final 3rd - get there quickly then fuck it up - playing back and sideways ) Get behind the last defender !! Killer instinct is what we need... Not pussying around football
  11. I don't honestly know... PL: 2nd (think we need a backup striker) FA: Winners (kind draw) COC: Finals (50/50 win) CL: Semis... I just hope the board keep Jose. Bold Prediction: Next summer will see some serious players in/out
  12. To be fair I do remember Moses scoring some important goals from the bench... But he's definitely not CFC material - long-term...
  13. Frank has a missus and two kids and an ex-wife - logistically it's not easy... Moving to the US was gonna be tough but he picked NYC with the shortest flight time... Oz is fucking miles away... Having lived abroad and away from friends/family - I know that's a huge weighting in the decision. Can we cut the traitor shit - we're so quick to belittle a Chelsea legend, who played days after his Mothers death, who gave everything, every game... And for what - half baked facts and Internet gossip? Every story has two sides - and under UK law - you are innocent until proven guilty - thank fuck the majority of you are not Judges... Lets reserve judgement and base opinions on facts! Please!
  14. Agree - but we have a small capacity - compared to our rivals - we need the revenue for FFP. Lets hope they can expand the current stadium!
  15. Was chatting to some ex Pros (doing some Charity work with them) Their take: Frank has a contract - in his contract its 99% certain that he has a clause saying 'from time to time, not unreasonable etc, to perform services to affiliated contractual parties' It's essentially a 'substitution' clause (happens in most contracts)... Now, Frank might not like it - but he's not the kind of guy to breach a contract. So I think his hands are somewhat tied. And Frank will likely keep his head down until he finishes the contract, then comment - that's just the way he is... (According to them - one of 'them' was Paul Terry - JT's brother/agent)
  16. I would have my old man is a Lion I don't mind them TBH - they play in Blue, have a Lion on their shirts - are never going to threaten us competitively Plus they have worked hard to get rid of the media bias towards them - something we are doing - so I share their pain a little - plus they looked after my old man on his 60th when I paid for a VIP package...
  17. This is a smart move. He needs playing time after the injury. This move allows him time to settle back in out of the media spotlight. And as others have said - if he has a good season, we have a ready made player for next season. If he struggles post injury - then we have options...
  18. Jens Lehman? The guy Didier and Terry wound up by standing on his toes - and then he freaked out and played really bad
  19. I feel sorry for Mourinho. The only way of shifting Torres - is giving him a brief window to shine.in the hope that it lures in a buyer... Jose is 2 for 2 on this... World Cup - Zero Friendlies - Zero (not expected to change) Such a shame - Jose is doing his best for him, giving him a chance - everybody knows the best thing for Torres is to move on. It's a win/win for everybody (pride loss on Nandos part/embarrassment of CFC Board) - but these are minor, trivial things tat should be skipped for the greater good Torres can take some credit in that he never quit trying (I will respect him for that, as that IS an admirable quality) - but even deep down he knows he has to move, the way the media and our perception - are such that even if he has a 30 goal season - he is still a flop. I'm not comfortable hating on a guy, that has tried, but just wasnt CFC material. (I have hated so much in the past, but this has just gone on too long now - I seriously now feel really sorry for him) I know the response is £175k week - but I'm still not convinced he should be hated - the responsible thing is to move the lad on - I want CFC to be responsible! I don't know where that came from - it just jumped out when I read the thread...
  20. The wages the Mancs are offering makes them everyone's favourite club
  21. Yup makes so much sense - scored for QPR, scored for Newcastle - proven player - could do well here!Plus I'm sure Eva could mend his heart
  22. Cheers dude - went for subtle Gary Mabbut had a hole in his heart - but was a great player - I don't mind Remy for that money - it's not like he will be first choice week in, week out - as an impact sub or cover he would be perfect
  23. Remy deal to Liverpool has collapsed... I would take this guy in a heartbeat - think he could be an amazing backup and has goals in him. Especially with Fabregas, Hazard, Shirley etc providing the ammo. For £8.5 million don't even blink!!!
  24. Yup - but they have to justify the move somehow Looking forward to seeing him play this season - A Strikers dream is Fabregas...
