  1. Massively overrated - and good move pushing him out for £28 million... Etoo was more dangerous than him
  2. Guys can someone please upload a MOTD link when it comes out In Zanzibar on honeymoon but Gotta see this game! 2 hours ahead of UK here so hitting the sack! Will be really greatful if you can sort out the link - just quote my post so I can easily find it
  3. I'm guessing by some of the comments - none of you have ever flown Turkish Airways? They are literally cleaning up on awards - they are beating the Emirates (who are awesome) in many categories Their fleet is super modern and the business class is just amazing! Unlike my recent trip on Virgin, who desperately need to get their Dreamliners in the air!!! My best experience to date is still Emirates - Heathrow to Dubai! Board the flight from the business lounge - upstairs on an A380 - amazing... So whilst the logo is shit and the name is dodgy - if they give us plenty of money - I won't mind so much I'm just about to board an Ethopian Air plane to Zanzibar (Honeymoon) - economy - this is gonna be a rude awakening
  4. I reckon the Mercedes logo would look pretty awesome or maybe Jaguar
  5. We should set up a talk Chelsea Google drive?
  6. Just back from a work trip in NY/San Fran/LA Whilst in LA had a meeting in the Sony Pictures studios - so went for a wander Found the RV from breaking bad Then found the Sony shop and my UK discount worked Got some amazing 7.1 wireless headphones - so now I can watch MOTD in bed whilst the missus sleeps Got a Sony version of GoPro - waterproof to 60m so perfect for the Honeymoon in Zanzibar next week Got a spare PS4 controller All for £160 - loving the GBP to Dollar exchange rate and the Sony discount
  7. Is anybody else a little sad that 'The only place to be' has been banned I'm not knocking the mods - I'm sure you gave plenty of warnings etc I will just miss that opposing view and way of looking at things from a different angle Anyway back to your philosophy and illuminati - strange pub this is
  8. Yes - can fully see the sense of persecution theory here However, looking at it logically - I guess the reason for Scotland being the initial adopters is down to the above average spend in that region on welfare (more spent per capita than received) - so any policy that can reduce that ratio would have positive ramifications for the whole country - I guess they are trying solutions to the biggest problems where they feel they need it first. I guess the Party element opens up to a wider debate - as we are now a global economy and forced to act in accordance with the global markets, the notion that any Government locally can change anything is a bit far fetched - hence the convergence of all parties (little choice between them) - so whilst Scotland might not like what's on offer in the UK, seeking independence to change that will have no effect and could actually make things worse as their actions will be directly tied to the macro-economic forces of the markets - and in a Capitalist society , they need to bend and doff to the whims of the global economy. Personally, I think the real debate should be Global Capitalism vs Nationalism - that's where the majority of issues sit
  9. The Poll Tax would actually be beneficial to the economy right now - with the number of people all living in one house The bedroom tax needs to be looked at rationally - not what the media purported. Aim of bedroom tax - to relocate people who had spare rooms (unused) into more suitable social housing, freeing up valuable larger properties for people desperate for them. However - the rub is, even though these are social houses and provided courtesy of hard working tax payers - people who have never contributed seem to believe these are their houses - not the Governemnts... Usual bollox ensues and a big deal is made over a pertintly sensible idea to free up one person living in a 3 bed house.. I know that's not what people want to hear - but that's the reality. If you needed social housing and had 3 kids and were cramped up in a 1 bedroom flat, whilst the Doris down the road had a 3/4 empty house - wouldn't you consider a swap to be beneficial to both parties? As usual a combination of media twisting and basic fuck ups by the admin staff on the project sent it into dissarray - but I liked the concept and would agree execution was poor
  10. Because that's what the 'Yes' campaign pushed for. What's a bigger joke is that only current residents of Scotland can vote. Any Scottish person living in England, Wales or NI cannot - that's just ridiculous - this is severely limiting the 'rational' thought processes. The term 'Freedom' is also being bandied about - what exactly is Scotland not free to do, that other parts of the UK are? - free healthcare - check - free schooling - check - free movement - check - religious freedom - check The list is endless .. It's more of an argument of proportional representation that has been blown out of all context and is now being promoted as 'freedom' under a nationalist movement - claiming oppression. I seriously believe Scots that vote yes and achieve independence will all expect to be millionaires the next morning. Very little will change for the average Scots person initially - the real gamble is for the generation after this, that's where the issues will become more prevalent. The more I debate it in my own mind the angrier I become about the farcical way that 'solid facts' are missing from both the Yes and No camp As I said many times - a real shame it has come to this... But within weeks we will see
  11. The oil issue is NOT guaranteed either - at present the oil fields ARE cited in UK waters - that means an equal entitlement. If Scotland are to leave they will need to: 1) Take a portion of the national debt 2) Agree suitable compensation for the oil rights If Scotland also take the pound without a central bank and default on (1) - then they will never be allowed into Europe and as a defaulter on debt will find it hard to borrow money from anybody, except maybe Wonga! So this Oil revenue debate is useless because Scotland will Not have more money than they have now - they will have to service their inherited national debt first, then keep up spending on infrastructure etc Also careful what you wish for - more Politicians does not equal a fairer deal - in fact it's likely to cripple and divide a nation as each petty politician will be self serving. If I was Scottish, I would vote No. The renewable energy as an ecosystem - simply doesn't work - the magnitude of investment versus the small return is a fools promise Further scientific advances need to be made in this area before wind is even considered a potential source. Sad times indeed
  12. The 47% yes - is whipped up on Nationalist frenzy - that's the problem, there has been no RATIONAL debate - just lots of wild predictions and 'it will be fine' in the end. If the 47% actually understood the huge gamble being played out - that number would drop massively. Take the 'Nationalism' argument out of it and look at purely economics and it's a baseless enterprise. Oil WILL run out - then the economy is dead in the water.
  13. Actually, Scotland leaving the UK wouldn't hurt our economy too much... We would relocate Trident and the Ship Yards back down south. This would HURT the Scottish economy. The UK economy would recover. We also spend more on NHS per capita in Scotland than in England or Wales (after income tax deduction) - so the net effect would be an improvement to the bottom line. I don't think it would hurt the UK voice - if Scotland want to leave, they will leave - how they are treating the Shetland Isles is deplorable though. I think I would be in more support of an Independent Scotland if they didnt have a bully boy Alex Salmond leading the charge - he's an idiot unfortunately If Scotland do leave, then it needs to be forever and no half measures - that's the only way I want to see it happen - if you want independence, you're on your own - no coming back... Would be a shame though...
  14. Great bit of work there Choulo The problem as I saw it was the gap between defence and the midfield trio - too much space behind which opened up runners and then led to problems - I think we missed Oscar in that position. Fully expect it to be fixed for the next game(s) though
  15. Good for him - great opportunity lets see him come on leaps and bounds
  16. Any other clubs he wants to #? What a knob! Most useless bit of business ever done by Utd... Welcome to the new Torres 2.0
