  1. We're so dominant they should make a movie called 50 Shades of Blue after this.
  2. KANTE HEADERED IT I KNEW IT HE'S A LEGEND
  3. Where we lost games too often over the past few seasons were in situations just like this, leading confidently and quickly. Our mentality better have changed.
  4. This should be a tactical masterclass based on some of these comments. I am ready. I am ready to bitch if you are wrong.
  5. I agree that Jose is now really mentally ill. In sports people never talk about the mental aspect, it's always physical health, which makes sense considering it's the bodies they throw on the line, but if there was more consideration regarding mental health, a lot of footballers & managers wouldn't even be allowed to participate. Their doctors wouldn't allow it, the club would try and enforce the contract, and a whole clusterfuck would follow likely ending in termination and fees. In Jose's case though, I think he's got the sort of illness that doesn't go away. A deep rooted narcissism which was probably founded on the insecurity of having to live up to his dad's expectations. I'm sure that if Jose was raised by a mother who wasn't into football, yet still went on to get his coaching badges etc. and do what he did, he wouldn't care for United. He's a man obsessed with giving a spiritual gift to someone he loves. Which in most cases, like music, the art world and such, is admirable. But doing that to a fanbase of millions which is littered with goofs? It isn't so well recieved.
  6. He earns the same amount as a British binman apparently.
  7. If the foundations of a house are not properly in place, all sorts of mess will happen, windows and doors will start falling off eventually. Do you blame the windows and the doors for being past it?
  8. I'll add, if Messi went to Juventus, Bayern, even Madrid or City, you'd be confident of him producing the Suarez or Aguero-like stats & performances we've seen. Here at Chelsea? Bahaha. I don't think any of us believe we would properly accomodate him. He would not do too well. So that's my theoretical example that a player isn't necessarily bad, but the club, is actually riddled with even more problems than seems so.
  9. If you take current Fabregas and plop him into the starting XI of Juventus, Barcelona or Bayern, the top teams of the moment & the past 5 years, they'd improve. Real are the only team who can't make space for him. How is it that the best teams on earth, and every other team then surely, would play better with Fabregas onboard? They'd play better on the pitch, which is a +1, and at least maintain their current win/loss rate if not improve. Because those teams unlike ours, are consistent in identifying who is/isn't starting XI material, an area in which we lack, resulting in Fabregas almost always playing with round blocks in square holes, and other players unperforming with him because of the same drawbacks, which affect each player to a different extent clearly. He's a great playmaker, and no great playmaker would do well (as we've seen) with the systems we've been deploying. Here are players who, in my opinion, were known for their passing, or were at least considered to be very solid playmakers, who then declined in that aspect once with us (in some instances to then move on, and explode): Mata, De Bruyne, Hazard (he had outstanding technique at Lille which is evidently limited right now), Salah, Willian, Fabregas. All attack-minded players who showed far better playmaking abilities before/after their stint with us. All of those players would be better in those teams I listed, which shows we're behind, and not ready to fully support the developments of such talented individuals (further proven by our loan system; why isn't Musonda here?) The problem has never been the players, it has always been the systems, the management of the players, and the inconsistent player-manager-owner power. We do not provide the environment for a player to play at his fullest potential. Fabregas will only make us miss him if he leaves, and no replacement we can bring in would be able to provide consistency better than what he can.
  10. I'm confused. None of us are blind, and we're all good at simplifying players and their strengths/weaknesses. So, why on earth aren't we saying, hey, this guy has the exact same skillset Pirlo had, and the same weaknesses, so let's err, play him in Pirlo's position considering we're essentially using the formation he played in. Kante & Matic is ENOUGH defensive power for a midfield. With Fabregas BEHIND them, there is no pressure on him to be some defensive wiz, and he gets complete freedom on the ball with protection all around him, instead of being chased down by anyone with legs and not having the pace to turn away. He is still a great player, better than good, and it's silly to suggest he's no longer a main player before trying him in his best position. (This super deep Pirlo position is where he played during his best Arsenal days, no?)
  11. A formation similar to this is what got the best out of Zola, same shall happen for 'azaR
  12. He was like a really hot woman who dazzled on his first few appearances, but over time our balls have become less silly and see now, that underneat the surface, there is no substance, nothing that makes them unique. Oscar, you are all looks.
  13. Willian is the same player as Marcelo in my eyes. I agree he'd make a good RWB. He'd be perfect for Barcelona, there's no other player more suited to them right now. It's important to have versatility in a squad, so speaking just for Chelsea it'd be great in the long run to know that all of Azpi, Willian, Moses & Aina can play the role, defending well enough and also getting forward. When you use squad players like squad players you get results. We've been needing a versatile bench player like Belletti. Experience & versatility; not inexperienced and potentially versatile (RLC) or experienced & not versatile at all (Fabregas).
  14. I'd rather get knocked out of a domestic cup comp than run players like Kante into the ground. Conte's experience in Serie A in this regard cannot carry over; over there, you can play your best players in whatever competition, the scheduling is less hectic and there's usually less chance of injury since they're more pansy-like. I can't help but feel he'd think it's a bigger achievement than it is to win one of the smaller cups, and it'd just make sense that we exhaust ourselves to get one while finishing 3rd or 4th come the end of the year. Focus on the league and we can do it. Split our attention and I don't believe so.
  15. I DROPPED MY HASH IN MY DRINK AND WE ARE BEING SPANKED. ITS A VERY BAD DAY
  16. FIRST I FIND AN OLD STICK OF HASH LONGER THAN MY FINGER IN A JACKET I'VE NEVER WORN AND NOW I SEE WE HAVE A GAME TODAY! ITS VERY BEAUTIFUL
  17. I'd love for bookies to do a special offer of over/under however many headers Kante can win per match. I'll go mental if he ever scores a header
  18. Pogba is being ripped by United fans on a level far higher than that we've gone to to rip Torres, Oscar, or anybody. A great day.
  19. Alright Kante is Vidal now, Matic is a shit Marchisio, and now we just need our Pirlo
  20. 1 great thing this man has done, and I mean this, is give balding men hope. I have great long girly hair, but I have signs & fear of going bald early. His hair transplant shows that if you don't know it's a transplant job, you aint gonna find out no matter how long you look (unless you go somewhere cheap and the stitching is clear on your forehead like a bad Kane mask.*) He's a symbol. All Jose stood for was razors. *
  21. It'd be hot if this guy believed in himself enough to say, I'll go to a smaller team, like Leverkusen, and help build a dyansty in whatever way I can. But I bet this bitch will hold out for a team that can hide his weaknesses.
  22. I think the only team that can afford him & would make sense next season is Juventus. They may want to line up a Buffon replacement, but I get the feeling if we browsed some Juve forums they'd seem confident they have a young Italian lined up. Anything else is a step down unless Barcelona have a brain-fart, ship Stegen back to Germany or over here, and take Courtois for some sake.
