I disagree and will stand by the opinion that both Ba & Remy are 2 of the best strikers we've had under Roman. Both are leagues ahead of Michy. Both are born to score. Michy is not. Michy is really born to assist.

Yup, any legends like Drogba who could be used in a coach role would benefit the youth far more than the first team. But, when you're at this age, you don't want to start another day to day job, you want to finally live off of all the money you've made over your career. So i doubt we'll be getting any legends returning as full-time coaches at all. It's too contrived and expected of them. I don't sense they actually desire it.

Never have Tottenham been a better or bigger team, and it doesn't start this season.
-
Nobody will penetrate our system. But we, we will fuck every team & turn their managers to cuckolds.

I don't think a manager who fails to retain 3rd or 4th position in La Liga is good enough for us. I already had my doubts, now they're basically confirmed. Simeone is as one-dimensional as Jose.

He's clearly a sweeper

I've never been a huge follower of the football in France but every season without fail I've given some decent attention to the top teams of the season, which Marseille were usually in the mix of. And, never, ever, at all, was I swayed towards thinking 'Hm, that Michy player seems good, let's check up on him some more.' That's in contrast to, let's say, Lacazette. I'm not saying he'd be the right player for us, but, he's at least been winning games all of his career. Michy...I doubt he ever scored a winning goal for Marseille. He's been a Kalou type player before coming to us. Too much instinct to go forward to not play him in attack; not a great finisher at all, so you can't lead the line with him consistently. But then, unlike Kalou, he's not actually suited to the wing (yet, i have some faith) as an inside-forward, like Anelka also was. So he becomes a bench player, with hardly any value to offer other than fresh legs considering he is not clinical. I hope he comes good but yet again board, why why why? Why, when there were other players to choose from? There was never an opportunity for us to make money on this deal; so what did we expect from this? A dependable back-up? He's never been that before, why would he be now? How would he get a chance to grow into that player if we were to persist with our more expensive striker?
-
I love his personality but, if he hadn't originally come from Belgium and been a rising star per-say during that wankfest over the country's young players, he would have carried 0 hype when he went to Marseille and thus we would never have had him on our radar. I'm sure we bought him because of the player he was touted to be before, and not because of the player he was at Marseille. That's how our board works, very often going for original targets once they've moved to a club that's easier to buy from.

Sorry, I don't partake in crack, I thought you had weed
-
Neymar, Messi, Suarez, Aguero, & Lewandowski still too I think. But i am actually wondering how good or not the weed in Brazil is, I'm moving. But since it's such a large place i guess there's no answer.
-
Is weed really good in Brazil?

We're so dominant they should make a movie called 50 Shades of Blue after this.

KANTE HEADERED IT I KNEW IT HE'S A LEGEND

Where we lost games too often over the past few seasons were in situations just like this, leading confidently and quickly. Our mentality better have changed.

This should be a tactical masterclass based on some of these comments. I am ready. I am ready to bitch if you are wrong.

I agree that Jose is now really mentally ill. In sports people never talk about the mental aspect, it's always physical health, which makes sense considering it's the bodies they throw on the line, but if there was more consideration regarding mental health, a lot of footballers & managers wouldn't even be allowed to participate. Their doctors wouldn't allow it, the club would try and enforce the contract, and a whole clusterfuck would follow likely ending in termination and fees. In Jose's case though, I think he's got the sort of illness that doesn't go away. A deep rooted narcissism which was probably founded on the insecurity of having to live up to his dad's expectations. I'm sure that if Jose was raised by a mother who wasn't into football, yet still went on to get his coaching badges etc. and do what he did, he wouldn't care for United. He's a man obsessed with giving a spiritual gift to someone he loves. Which in most cases, like music, the art world and such, is admirable. But doing that to a fanbase of millions which is littered with goofs? It isn't so well recieved.

He earns the same amount as a British binman apparently.

If the foundations of a house are not properly in place, all sorts of mess will happen, windows and doors will start falling off eventually. Do you blame the windows and the doors for being past it?
-
I'll add, if Messi went to Juventus, Bayern, even Madrid or City, you'd be confident of him producing the Suarez or Aguero-like stats & performances we've seen. Here at Chelsea? Bahaha. I don't think any of us believe we would properly accomodate him. He would not do too well. So that's my theoretical example that a player isn't necessarily bad, but the club, is actually riddled with even more problems than seems so.

If you take current Fabregas and plop him into the starting XI of Juventus, Barcelona or Bayern, the top teams of the moment & the past 5 years, they'd improve. Real are the only team who can't make space for him. How is it that the best teams on earth, and every other team then surely, would play better with Fabregas onboard? They'd play better on the pitch, which is a +1, and at least maintain their current win/loss rate if not improve. Because those teams unlike ours, are consistent in identifying who is/isn't starting XI material, an area in which we lack, resulting in Fabregas almost always playing with round blocks in square holes, and other players unperforming with him because of the same drawbacks, which affect each player to a different extent clearly. He's a great playmaker, and no great playmaker would do well (as we've seen) with the systems we've been deploying. Here are players who, in my opinion, were known for their passing, or were at least considered to be very solid playmakers, who then declined in that aspect once with us (in some instances to then move on, and explode): Mata, De Bruyne, Hazard (he had outstanding technique at Lille which is evidently limited right now), Salah, Willian, Fabregas. All attack-minded players who showed far better playmaking abilities before/after their stint with us. All of those players would be better in those teams I listed, which shows we're behind, and not ready to fully support the developments of such talented individuals (further proven by our loan system; why isn't Musonda here?) The problem has never been the players, it has always been the systems, the management of the players, and the inconsistent player-manager-owner power. We do not provide the environment for a player to play at his fullest potential. Fabregas will only make us miss him if he leaves, and no replacement we can bring in would be able to provide consistency better than what he can.

I'm confused. None of us are blind, and we're all good at simplifying players and their strengths/weaknesses. So, why on earth aren't we saying, hey, this guy has the exact same skillset Pirlo had, and the same weaknesses, so let's err, play him in Pirlo's position considering we're essentially using the formation he played in. Kante & Matic is ENOUGH defensive power for a midfield. With Fabregas BEHIND them, there is no pressure on him to be some defensive wiz, and he gets complete freedom on the ball with protection all around him, instead of being chased down by anyone with legs and not having the pace to turn away. He is still a great player, better than good, and it's silly to suggest he's no longer a main player before trying him in his best position. (This super deep Pirlo position is where he played during his best Arsenal days, no?)
-
Yeah, considering how good it looks
-
A formation similar to this is what got the best out of Zola, same shall happen for 'azaR

We're gonna fuck them in the shitter
