  1. Training in pitch black conditions? Nice. Next level. Supreme. Warlords. Our players are learning how to pass without even seeing.
  2. He supports Fiorentina through-and-through, since a young boy, so who knows.
  3. I don't think it's possible to be grateful for, respectful towards, and support the club of a Jew, and also be anti-Semitic. Which I don't believe these fans are. So this is a non-story. This is like saying the word nigger in no context other than what i'm typing right now, and claiming it's racist. Or if you're shit-faced with your black friend of 10 years, and for some bizarre reason call him nigga to wind him up (I wouldn't do that; but I could never call that racism either in that context.) You're not suddenly racist for hitting a nerve that should be left untouched; you just know how to ruffle feathers. Some people go very far, but it's not that deep. It's teasing. In football, you insult and degrade your opponents, but that doesn't mean what you're saying has conviction behind it. It's trolling. You choose the words that provoke the most reaction and that's it. So why care what they chanted? Unless they're starting anti-Jew groups or throwing bottles exclusively at people they think for sure are Jewish, it's not anti-Semitic. There's no discrimination; all Spurs fans are the same to a Chelsea fan, Jewish or not. There's no hostility aimed specifically towards anyone Jewish; only towards Spurs fans and every non-Chelsea fan in general. And as for prejudice, anyone chanting such shit doesn't have a developed enough brain to even be prejudice. They just go home, eat their pie and never think about Jews again.
  4. As a 16 year old Twitter girl would say, not everybody you lose is a loss x
  5. It's special there because it's Rome I think. We know that way back thousands of years ago we had gladiators in Rome battling for respect, freedom and whatnot. That was a real time in our history, a fascinating time that we still feel connected to, and it happened between men in that same city with the same intensity and passion. In our modern society, we can't have killings for amusement, but we can still have sporty competition. If the gladiators had to adjust to our times, they'd be playing football. So I feel like, when you play for Roma, you're literally more connected to the gladiators than anyone else is. You're entertaining them in their graves and truly carrying on their traditions in the best way you can. It's special there due to their history of sport.
  6. Signing the most expensive player & failing to qualify for the CL next season would be beautifully shambolic.
  7. No team will put 5 past Everton this season. No team will put 4 past United this season. But we did.
  8. Leif says Harry Redknapp knows fuck all
  9. After many years of following us now, I'm resigned to a pessimism that any player under the age of 40 will be sent out on loan if we acquire them. I used to be confused when oldies like Zolaeyes had absolutely no interest in our academy & youthful players, but, it is what it is. Even Chalobah with his few appearances this season can count himself lucky for that much. If we get this guy, I presume he'll be loaned out like Andreas C., and then he'll not reach the heights of Andreas, thus leading to his sale. EXCITING TIMES.
  10. Few ex-players of our generations have gone on to be better coaches than Conte. I'll say Guardiola is one, Ancelotti is equal, but I can't see anyone else in the company of these 3. Saying that makes me thankful to have had 2 of them.
  11. Both Moses & now Pedro have given us examples of how we should not write a player off too soon at this club. We forget how chaotic and inconsistent we are off-field, and I believe it's luck & a blessing whenever a player plays to their full potential here. Which Pedro is absolutely doing now. He has not had better games for Barcelona against better opposition. Our squad is strong, lacking in depth still I admit, but if our XI including Pedro can stay fit, we've got born & bred winners in abundance, even moreso than City.
  12. On both sides. Ours are sweet, theirs are bitter.
  13. Dominance. 1 goal conceded in all these games. Grinding out win after win. Up until the subs, the complaints were pathetic. We are great and we won't finish below 2nd.
  14. well it is a scary 7 minutes we're against our bitter rivals and we took our best players off if we were silent about that we'd be morbid
  15. the media only make Moses MOTM to increase the chances of Barcelona taking him from us
  16. they play like donkeys without Hazard on! they have no confidence without having their main man to give the ball to!
  17. Wait, I think Oscar's trying to rub his moustache off via the friction against the grass
  18. It's obviously Oscar's first time trying to grow a beard, and he doesn't know yet that just because you can grow facial hair, doesn't mean you can get a full beard. He'll find out in his own time, just give it 2 more months.
  19. Man City vs United. 1-0 to the home side, 10 minutes to go. Take off Aguero and Fernandinho. Bring on their 2 worst players. It just wouldn't happen.
  20. Imagine Barcelona vs Madrid with just 10 minutes to go, 1-0 to the home side, and they take off Messi & Iniesta. Just random, what the fuck
  21. what the fuck is he doing with these subs, why the fuck would you rest these players with only 10 minutes to go
  22. oh we're so shit, our players have no skill, knew we'd be found out eventually, the 343 is weak
  23. Barcelona have been pumped by small teams before, and I highly doubt their fans react as if that one game defines them. This game has not really highlighted areas in which we are weak. Up until this game, we've been solid and strong. A defensive powerhouse that always gets the job done. No team dominates 100% of their games.
  24. How many games did we go without conceding? And now we concede 1, and suddenly the players don't have skill?
