It's a good time to say that I don't see in Costa what 99% of this forum does. I haven't thought 'wow' even once this season because of him. You're obviously all more astute than myself, because it must be something subtle he's doing to win favour. Best striker in the world my ass. Better than Lewandowski, Aguero, even Cavani or Ibra my ass. Benzema's better, Griezmann is better, Suarez, Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, Muller, Aubameyang, even perhaps Dybala. That's just the high-profile players, too. I'm sure some small teams have equally good players who will be the next greats. We need those great players. Not very good players which our blue tinted specs enhance only in our eyes.

Aguero thanked Cahill for the goal. Not even his peers respect him.
-
Every single time he plays, fans of other clubs hail Cahill as the fraud he is, with complete bemusement that he makes it onto the pitch. Nobody comments on other players on other teams being frauds, do they? But this guy sticks out like a sore thumb to every fan of football.
-
I have no faith in Matic, he'd be a passenger just like Fabregas. Never has Matic moved the ball with any urgency, which is what every team needs vs. City. He literally jogs. He doesn't run. Beyond Cahill & Ivanovic, I think Matic has become one of our worst players, just a slither better than Oscar.
-
Anyone who suggests Chalobah should come on should be banned. An absolute fraud too himself.
-
You're right, and a player who can't pick themselves up is too pathetic to have amongst the elite.
-
I said it, he has no composure for a game like this, he's a fucking tool and i can't wait for the fraud to be gone.
-
You could see from space that Silva was going to get tackled there
-
Besides individual brilliance, I am not at all impressed with City nor Guardiola. He's losing it too.
-
Regardless of the final outcome, I'm sure our players are more handsome.
-
And that's why nobody else wanted to buy Navas - for his entire career, he's been crossing into empty boxes.
-
This is probably the most disgusting I've ever seen a team perform (City).
-
You see, it's set pieces you have to try and win games from in matches like this. I fear Conte will be too brave and insist we 'play'.
-
Unlike other seasons, it's like the moment he gets the ball the entire opposition backs off to give him space.
-
reminding them who the actual blues are.
-
In a game like this i'd take a Mourinho approach, and essentially win as many corners as possible. I'd send Alonso & Cahill up for all of them, keep an extra player or 2 back, and rinse / repeat.
-
If we lose this, i think it won't be lost in midfield, but defence. Against the big boys (Arsenal, Liverfailurepool) our back 3 haven't had the best chemistry, and I never have faith in Cahill remaining composed.
-
I never realised until now how outdated Man City's 'updated' emblem is. A lot of people with not quite perfect vision won't even be able to tell who it is.
-
At least they don't have Nasri. Nasri was our bogey.
-
Since his debut for us, the only player to try harder than him is Ramires. Though, Moses has more than twice the quality. Thus, he's surely one of the most underrated players we've had under Roman. I know that even in his 'prime', Kalou wouldn't hold a light to Moses's current prime. Malouda was good, but not consistently. Sturridge was less consistent too. Belletti & Bosingwa weren't better players than him, and right now, barely past his prime, even Ivanovic in his natural position isn't better than Moses, perhaps equal to on a good day. Appreciate him while we have him. If Conte leaves, our next manager won't have the same faith.

"He still has more career goals than Iniesta." That, plus the fact he's prevented more goals than any other defender barring perhaps Ashley Cole, surely makes him the greatest centre back of all time. With such a statement, Englishmen would be too modest to accept such a fact, when looking at how the England national team has failed to produce, but it's childish and too kind to ever imply there was a better player in his position. Baresi was no better defensively, and certainly no better in terms of scoring goals. Beckenbauer had the likes of... nobody, to defend against during the 60's/70's with Bayern. Try and name a player from the Bundesliga who he would've gone up against. I can't think of any, let alone a great player which Terry has consistenly thwarted. It'll never be universally accepted, because we are Chelsea, but he is. He is the best. There is absolutely nobody who's made less mistakes than him. Erase his penalty kick, not a defender's job, and his knee to whoever's back vs. Barcelona, and he has had a flawless career compared to his peers.

Isn't that a bit like saying, you can't call Oscar shit unless you've played with him? Isn't that a bit like saying, a detective can't deduce a murderer's motive, because he wasn't there when he was slinging the knife? We probably misunderstood what Hitler was about tbh, we weren't there in Germany.
-
I still would. Anyone who plays for this club, but doesn't care about it, is a piece of shit in my opinion, and I have *never* seen a player care less about this club. Both Torres and Gallas look like Terry compared to him.
-
I miss Rmpr, he would've put his life, his family, his entire existence on the line betting that Oscar > Coutinho.
-
I wouldn't say Courtois has surpassed the expectations we had for him, and we certainly shouldn't buy his loyalty. Same with Costa, he's only now playing like the player we bought from Atletico, for the first time. If they can raise their levels higher, and we win the league, then sure.
