I don't exactly think our strikers are the problem, the service is. So if we sign Cavani, he will score more than Torres for a fact but still he won't get 25-30 goals a season like he does at Napoli. The service for players this year has been shocking, Sturridge on the wing has like what 2 assists? Lampard has barly any, Mata has the most with like 19 or something but still we need much better service. If Sturridge wasn't greedy he would have a few more assists tbh, in fact a lot more....

Yes he is a nice guy and is in the twilight of his career but he is more than willing and enthusiastic than some of the current squad who play like 20 times more than him each season, even though he knows he is a last resort and will play like 3 games a season. Look at Lampard, Essien, Terry and Cole when they were on the bench against Napoli, in fact look at Lampard earlier on in the season where he was in a huff because he was being rotated in and out of the squad. He complained because he was getting 20-30 minutes some weeks and only starting half the games he usually had and basically, isn't Lampard not in the twilight of his career as well? You mention if you take away the nice guy persona from Paulo you have a top pro, but what do you have if you take away the legendary status from Lamps and Drogba? Big name players who throw the toys out of the pram every now and then and probably reckon they are bigger than Chelsea Football Club itself. If we are going to get rid of Paulo because he is in the twilight of his career shouldn't Lamps and Didier not follow? Personally I think Paulo should be allowed to finish his contract and be offered a coaching role, just to show respect to someone who has shown so much respect towards the club, managers, staff and players.

Feruz would of been competing for a squad place at Celtic this season if he had stayed, but maybe he needs more time with the reserves and youth team. Cracking prospect though, could be the best player to come out of Scotland for a while, in fact the best to come out of Scotland since Dalglish. Yet again maybe not though. Just looks incredibly likely he will be one of the best players out of Scotland for years yet.

Whoever suggested playing KDB in a deep role... why?! Hes a winger/box to box midfielder(played there alot this year), he is a great in the attacking third in terms of assists and scoring goals, just look at his stats for this season, kind of similar to Lamps. Also you don't scout a player for 2 seasons, then take him and totally change his position lol unless your bonkers ! PS. IF HE ISN'T AT CHELSEA FC NEXT YEAR I SHALL GO MENTAL!!!!!

Why should Paulo take a pay cut to stay at the club? He might not turn it down but he or others in the squad/club might see it as a sign of disrespect towards him. Why treat a player like this? Paulo's experience is vital and he would help Portuguese speaking players bed in to the club or possibly help attract them. Also he may not be the best full back in the league, but he does a bloody good job when hes in the team, true example of a top top pro. Never moans about playing time or anything, just goes in, does what he has to do. If only a few more of the players in the squad were more like this guy.

I thought Malouda, Romeu and Essien were ok today and Bertrand was MOTM by far but Terry and Cahill were also class too. Still fucking pissed off at Sturridge. If you want to pay over the odds for this guy then ok, yes he is good but 30-35 million is far too much imo and why would he leave Bilbao when they are having a terrific season and if they keep their current squad together they will going for top 3 or 4 in La Liga?

None of our youngsters have played 30-40 games a reason regularly expect KDB, Lukaku and Courtious so if youngsters are going to be used from our current squad it should be them. Plus Bertrand has had like 150 Championship games so he is ready too

Played good tonight, always a threat for Barca. They were pissed at his play acting tonight though, tbh it was quality to see Barca get some of their own medicine, the bastards.

I don't mind that he is only 5 ft 7 but he should bulk up so he can shrug players off him when hes on the ball more often, as teams are trying to kick and push him out of the game. It was very hard for him to influence the game tonight as well but still everyone who played, deserves some sort of credit, for the collective performance.

Next season hopefully Mata will bulk up slightly and work on his right foot so he is even better!
