If Mourinho was to ever sell/loan Mata, I would be very disappointed. Can't see Roman being very happy with Jose selling or loaning Mata while trying to play a more Barcelona-like possession style of football either which he apparently 'craves'. Willian couldn't even lace Oscars boots never mind Matas. Signing Willian is still mind boggling? Why? We have more than enough quality for the 3 behind the striker. If Willian is signed to replace Mata I will be very very very disappointed with everyone involved with the transfer, would be fucking ridiculous.

article also says that Atletico Madrid want Mata on loan..... please no to both deals. Why strengthen Liverpool?

Rafael sucks. I don't rate him, decent going forward, quite poor defensively. Still if my statement is dire what about De Gea being better than Cech? Or Cleverly being just as good as Ramires? Or Zaha better being than Moses? Take a look at your previous statements first before you call mines dire. Willian is an attacking midfielder. Anyway I dont feel WIllian brings anything we already dont have. Sure hes a good player and it gives us more options but still, Moses who had an excellent pre-season wasn't in the squad vs Hull or VIlla so who else comes of the bench for Willian, Demba Ba? Lukaku? Schurrle? De Bruyne? Lampard? We only had 1 defender on the bench vs Hull too so its really really really stupid to get another attacking midfielder for a big price where they will need to be in the match squad every week.

Hmm I think he'd probably be a decent player to build your team around and play him centrally but we couldn't afford him such a role with Mata and Oscar in our ranks.

Terrible? No he wasn't. We went ultra-defensive and played useless 60 yard long passes up to him which he couldn't beat Bonucci or Chielleni or whoever in the air. When he had the ball at his feet he played the role well, its an option if Jose can't get goals from the strikers.

I love the gritty games win by 1 goal (well not when I'm watching them tbh, but when your team wins 2-1 or 1-0 its a nice feeling). Typical Mourinho style too, didn't perform very well, sat deep, played on the counter at times looked dangerous. All these 2-1's and 1-0's against the smaller teams where we haven't performed is brilliant, as you say too its the sign of champions. Picking up points without performing well.

No probably about it, the pivot is our weakest part of the team when Lampard is in there against teams who have a lot of energetic players in midfield. Not to forget how much Lamps slows everything down......

I love this new Ramires we are seeing, consistent and better first touch, more consistent passer, seems a bit stronger. Jose has obviously worked with him over the summer. Ramires v Villa: 104 passes, 94% pass accuracy, 1 key pass and 4 tackles won.

Totally agree about their signings, Paulinho and Capoue are both excellent options in the middle of the park to go along with what they already had with Dembele and Sandro, who you could say were the best midfield pairing last season (when both were fit). Chadli is another interesting player which gives them more options on the wing and Soldado is a proven goalscorer, he will get 15-20 goals minimum for Spurs. Can also see the likes of Sigurdsson improving from last year along with Holtby too so even if they lose Bale they will be stronger than last season. If they replace Bale with Willian as well then Levy, AVB and Baldini have done very very well in the transfer market. They could do with a CB though and if Arsenal don't spend then Spurs will probably push them out of the top 4. Still Willian isn't needed here no more, we have enough attacking midfield players for the season. Hes a very good player but still I don't think hes better than Mata and Hazard.

No way would Shaw be first choice........ Cole and even Bertrand have much more experience on him, I mean much much more experience. Bertrand has played nearly 200 championship games and however many PL games here now, few England caps, Champions League winner, Europa League and well Ashley Cole is Ashley Cole, 100+ England caps, PL winner, FA cup winner, CL winner, Europa League winner.......
