Stupidest loan ever but what the hell.
-
Could just sing some Will.I.Am songs, I'm sure he'd get it eventually...
-
Still dont want to see him in the pivot. Theres a difference from what he does in the #10 role defensively than what we'd expect from him in the pivot.
-
Comparing his first few games for us to the game tonight, tactically he is so much better. He offers Cole much more protection, this is due to hard work from Benitez and Mourinho who are coaches who specialize on the more defensive side of the game. Hope he can start doing what he does best which is creating and scoring lots of goals. His goal tonight is what I'd like to see him do more often, similar to Ribery's goal, cut in from the left flank and shoot low and hard.
-
I think we'll see Hazard-Oscar-Schurrle against big teams in away games. As we seen tonight, all 3 work very hard and we have great balance with those 3.
-
Didier will be able to relate to what he did tonight in a way, he got sent off in the 2008 final in Moscow (obviously not a missed penalty but still effectively the same as one as hes a specialist at penalties and you'd have backed him to score), hopefully Romelu gets second chance in a European final to put things right. He will be the best person to pick Romelu up, hes his idol and he has had such a similar thing happen to him in a way.

ASSASSINS CREED MOVIE!!!!!!!!

On a few more viewings I change my mind a bit and agree with you that Ramires could have done better. Cahill and Ramires positioning isn't great. Ramires gets sucked into the ball too easily. If both of them where slightly further to the left then 1) Ramires could have tackled Ribery or he wouldn't have seen the space to run into an 2) Cahill would be in a better position to come and close him down if he did.

I think hes made slight adaptations to his game, he's obviously not worked with Jose for too long so its still a work in progress. His passing percentage is quite bad, most of his passes were long ones though, aimed towards our wide players so we could hit them on the counter which was the game plan. His partnership with Cahill looks to keep improving, under AVB they were shocking together, Robbie and Benitez used them at times and they looked better (most notably the CL final) and tonight him and Gazza looked good together. I suppose we had everyone behind the ball 9 times out of 10 so they had a lot of protection but I'm not taking anything away from how far they've come as a partnership.
-
Cahill could have went out to him as well then if we are being picky. I feel Cech could have saved that.
-
Looks like Mourinho has spoken to him and made slight changes to his game, when to go forward, when to stay, when to play it out, when to clear it etc. Also what a penalty.
-
I'm not having that. Everyone who played tonight deserved to win that fucking trophy. Hes not a DM, hes a box-to-box player but against a team that passes the ball very well for 70 or 80% of the game in your half hes a DM. Also in big games Ramires has fucking got us out of a hole, the Barcelona games for example, he was brilliant, even at RB. The 2-2 game against Spurs, he scored the second goal. Against City under Carlo, he sealed the game with that superb goal when City looked slightly threatening. To say Ramires shouldn't play in MF in big matches is a fucking shocking opinion. No offence. Also if anyone has to get a little bit of stick for the Ribery goal, I'm gonna have to say Cech looked like he could have done better, he won't be pleased but he's made so many MASSIVE saves in big European games so it doesn't matter. Even tonight he made some cracking saves.
-
I'm not going to lie, when I heard about signing him under AVB I wasn't sure, but then I watched some games he played in Germany and he looked impressive. Still slightly raw but impressive enough.

Man is a hero, how many 20 year old strikers do you see take a penalty in a HUGE European final ahead of the likes of Torres, JT, whoever else. I feel for him, hes a proper Chelsea fan through and through, I was more or less in tears after his penalty, he will be hurting the most, I really feel for him, its a big kick in the nuts to his confidence, guys like Romelu, Andre and David are so positive and so enthusiastic, I hope this doesn't get him down but it makes him work harder and he comes back stronger. Like Drogba did in 2012, he will redeem himself. I guarentee it.
-
Whos saying this guy is a waste of money now? He worked his fucking arse of today for the team, he was immense defensively and the little times he could contribute offensively, his run and the cut back for Torres' goal (although it took a wee nick) was brilliant, Hazard's run and pass was also excellent. Guy is a workhorse, and like Luiz, also has so much passion and positivity around him.

The way we lost that last goal, last minute, Benitez style. Still immensely proud, young team vs the best team in Europe. 2-2, 5-4 on pens to them with 10 men. Pretty much restricted them from a lot of clear cut chances and when they got chances Cech was in their way, what a fucking hero, their equalizer was a fucking fluke. Its a morale victory for Chelsea in my eyes. Nobody fancied us, we led twice, we looked very good on the counter. We hit the bar, we lost a man, we regrouped and made it difficult for them. Same as Barca at the Nou Camp. If anything this shows that Guardiola's teams aren't perfect, without a Messi like player its fair to say Bayern will need to get lucky more often in these sort of games. Gutted for Lukaku, I fucking love his passion and enthusiasm about playing for Chelsea, he will be feeling dreadful right now but its all about learning, hes a young man, he will get a chance at fixing this. I was nearly in tears after the game tbh, not because we lost, because the feelings these players will have, they gave everything, everyone who started, everyone who came on, absolute heros. Martinez scoring that goal, in the last minute, is such a kick in the nuts to 14 players and a coach who gave everything. Its a kick in the nuts to me as well. The fact it is Pep Guardiola lifting that trophy too, makes me even more fucking frustrated and upset.

If he doesn't go out on loan let him play with the under 21s, hes not better than any of our MF players right now.

Favourable Draw for Chelsea in Champions League

Should walk this group, no offence to the other teams. -
Chelsea still looking to strengthen squad, says Ron Gourlay

Probably more wingers/attacking midfielders... -
and me.

Spike was gonna pass his exam but then he got high
-
You have to remember though what Jose did with Varane at Madrid, he didn't give him many games, then eventually started him in a good run of games and eventually he became a nailed on starter
-
I fucking hate Spurs. 9M for Eriksen, what a deal that could be. Although in my eyes hes not as good as was made out a few years ago.
-
Believe we will need to go for an energetic team against Bayern, if we can press them high up they will cause themselves problems. That is the team I'd go for too, except for maybe Ivanovic in at CB instead of Luiz depending on fitness but I suppose Luiz can start attacks from defence.
-
I think he should play, no matter who we play. When we first signed him, Villas-Boas wasn't afraid to throw him on against United at Old Trafford although we lost and he didn't have much of an impact but he needs to get a chance against the bigger teams. As we seen at West Brom last year, he gave a lot of top CBs a problem; against United he got a hattrick, he terrorised Vertonghen last year (who was arguably the best CB in the league), he made a fool of Agger and Carragher at Anfield. I don't think he's ready to start 50-60 games for us but I feel hes more than ready to be given a chance to prove himself and show why he should start upfront. As Peace said perhaps Jose is protecting him, I can remember that 4-1 game we played under Robbie against Liverpool where he came on and missed a sitter. He received a lot of stick but he had very little PL experience at the time, hes went away and played regular football at West Brom and scored 17 goals. He outscored all Chelsea strikers last season. I think that warrants him a chance to prove himself, even if he just plays 25-30 games in all competitions this season.
