  1. Spoiled kids? Would you open your eyes are look at why he's said that. Lets be honest, Courtois is a very good keeper, he knows that, he is Belgium and La Liga winners Atletico's number 1 (or was now hes back at Chelsea), he isn't arrogant or spoiled but he knows he is a very good player (he isn't the only player who thinks like this) and is very confident in his own abilities. Sure he wants to start in the goals for Chelsea and so does Cech, hes just saying that it would be unhealthy because the two are good enough to be playing regularly at big clubs, he knows it, Cech knows it, Jose knows it, you know it, I know it and so does everyone else. So why would you run about saying shit like hes a spoiled kid or whatever else.
  2. Why is everyone now saying Willian isn't good enough to start for us? What a load of shite that is and yous all know it. Sure Sanchez would be a great buy but only if one of the players that play in that 3 behind the striker positions leave, hes an upgrade on Willian but he is very very very good as yous all seen at Barca this season and for Chile. Willian is a very good player as well though, he needs to score more maybe but he had a good first season in my eyes after he got used to the PL.
  3. Really find it interesting everyones saying we shouldn't of signed Salah just because Liverpool are getting this guy. If he was really that good we would have used our option to sign him to be honest, a young winger isn't what we need, we need more players who are coming towards their best years to improve the team as well as developing the younger players. I am really excited to see Salah get more minutes and hopefully hit the ground running in the PL after 6 months of adaption and after his performance vs Swansea in particular, also the two games in the champions league against us, there is also a hell of a lot more to come from him. Also cmon we got Salah ahead of Liverpool, we can't just sign everyone Liverpool wants.... Markovic will be a great player but right now, Salah is better and further ahead in his development.
  4. Did he win the tackle? I thought it was Thiago Silva, if not my bad.
  5. What is this after watching him have a good performance for Brazil? You forget all the fouls he had as well, his discipline is something worth considering the amount of needless tackles he tried to make when the ball was already gone and now that City have gone and signed a sitting midfield player maybe it shows that Pellegrini doubts him and Toure together as a pivot??
  6. His positioning for when James slipped in Bacca (I think) to win the penalty was very, very bad though, if he had been in a better starting position, he would have cut it out easily and they wouldn't have conceded a penalty. He had a good game but he always has one or two moments where he gives you a chance to get a opportunity like the game against Croatia, he let Jelavic get in front of him, touch the ball (although it wasn't going in) before Marcelo put the ball in his own net as well. I don't think a great freekick goal can make everyone say he had a 'brilliant game' because the fact they conceded the penalty was partly his fault due to his positioning, although he did have a good game I suppose other than that but wouldn't say brilliant.
  7. Not really. Jose bought him for a reason, he's someone he rates obviously. If he didn't pick up an injury he'd have made more appearances, with the new MF players coming in and him coming back from a major layoff it would maybe make sense for a loan, like maybe an emergency 93 day loan or something to get him games and then take him back (Arsenal did something similar after Ramsey returned from breaking his leg) or maybe a full season depending on which team it is. He was bought as a replacement for Lampard I think, they are both box to box midfielders who can score goals but Marco looks very comfortable in any midfield position as seen in the U21s World Cup before he came here, he was played as a 6 as well as an 8 so if he gets back to fitness and is in the 25 man squad he'll definitely feature even if we sign Tiago.
  8. If he can't start ahead of Sakho, who after seeing him this season in the PL and in the world cup, is one hell of a average defender then we don't need him.
  9. This isn't the first time many football fans will have heard of James. Many people have heard of him and tried to follow his progress since he went to Porto, even the 'casual football fans' as you call them, will have heard of him given Man United had been after him for years and continuously linked to him since about 2009 or whenever. As was said up there, one summer doesn't make an swallow. He is a very talented player but to say hes at a Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Suarez level would be a bit premature in my eyes. Hes definitely a world class player in the making though.
  10. We wont sign another central midfield player I'd imagine. Matic holding with Rami on the right side and Cesc on the left side in a 3 man midfield is more than good enough provided Rami picks his form up a bit then that midfield really will have a bit of everything, power and aggression in Matic, creativity, control and goals in Cesc and pace, stamina and goals in Rami provided he gets his head out his arse.
  11. Alonso is a defensive midfielder. Modric, Kroos and Casemiro can play there, Khedira is more of a box to box midfielder.
  12. Lol it doesn't make sense.... nothing makes sense does it? Lampards gone we need experience in MF....
  13. What does that have to do with the fact hes a brilliant center half? Absolutely fucking nothing.
  14. Khedira or Di Maria will be sold. Makes sense if Khedira is sold because Kroos is a better passer, not as wasteful with the ball and it allows Modric to still have more an influence further up the park as well. People saying this doesn't make sense for Real it does really, replacing a inferior technical player who plays in that holding position and signing a more technical player who can play any central midfield role, as a 6, 8 or 10, in a team where they are trying to play more open attacking football. Really good signing for 25M euros too.
  15. because we just want to buy all the young talents for a laugh...
  16. Really? When our 3 strikers scored 27 goals between them, I think having one striker who will score at least 15 or more is good enough, we can't expect far too much given the Torres experience and also with players like Sheva who have struggled after big moves.
  17. If Liverpool get Sanchez and cash for Suarez they have done exceptionally well. Means Sturridge can play as a lone frontman with Lallana, Sanchez and Sterling in a 3 behind him... could be another top 4 finish for them. Hope not really.
  18. Expect him to score at least 15 goals next season. Need a striker who can get at least 15, who knows we might win the league this season if he can and we manage to concede as many as we did last year.
  19. or maybe you did say... lol missed that
  20. Always positive when he comes on. Same when he came on against PSG when we beat them at the Bridge. Always looking forward, to beat people when he can, to run in behind, to go on the outside as well as the inside when he can to add variety. Hopefully he starts against France on the left, Debuchy leaves a lot of space when going forward so this would be ideal for Schurrle (or even Podolski) to exploit. He must score at least 10 PL goals next season though as well as adding more assists but I feel that will come, hes effectively as good as a striker in front of goal at times, works the keeper most times.
  21. Stupid stupid stupid decision by Mourinho. For another year or two he has shit loads to offer, homegrown, big game player, lots of experience, poor decision by Jose, the board and Roman to not offer him a new deal. If he could have been convinced to take a squad role I generally believe he would have because he knows he's 33 and is coming towards the end. I'm sure he'd have prefered to have that sort of role at Chelsea than somewhere else unless hes going to be playing every game in the MLS or somewhere.
  22. You have to look at how many experienced players we will have in the squad next season without him. No Cole, no Lampard, probably no Eto'o, as well as the chance that Cech could be sacrificed for Thibaut Courtois. Tiago has been there and done it, a great free transfer, in fact hes actually a very good player to be honest even at 30 odd. This squad, as I said in another thread, will have a good mix of youth, players in their peak and older players because in a squad you need that. Ferguson had players like Giggs, Scholes, O'Shea, Solskjaer, at United when they were in the latter stages of their careers to pass on experience to younger guys and play when needed to play. You can't win with just kids because they need time to learn and improve, I generally believe that you need a good mix of everything in a squad, to come through big games, suspension/injury crises and also when the younger guys are in bad moments the older guys can perhaps step up and lead the way setting an example for younger players.
  23. You've said this about 49 times without giving a valid reason. Explain..
  24. Sure there are moments Suarez dives but like all good players, not just Suarez, they are clever with their bodies getting themselves between the opposition and the ball and win fouls. I don't like this diving carry on you see or when players get a little kick or something they are on the ground doing 500400640 rolls to try and get the opposition player booked as well as win a foul.
