  1. And play him where? Ramires so far has started one game this season - against Everton, which is a big game in my eyes. We will rarely use 4-3-3 apart from in the bigger games, is it really worth buying Pogba to play 4-3-3 in the big games when its blatantly obvious that Fabregas will play next to Matic with Oscar or Willian as number 10 in most games? Pogba would be a luxury signing, we've got an established team and set up, predominately playing 4-2-3-1 in the smaller games and looking at how we set up against Everton, 4-3-3 in bigger games.
  2. Don't need him. Really don't get why we would need him unless we sold Ramires.
  3. As long as we can get pished half the country probably won't give a fuck anyway.
  4. How can you compare a 6 to a 10? They don't have the same roles. Busquets is a holder who provides stability and balance, breaks up play and always offers himself to his team so they can play out from the back and retain possession etc. Oscar is a 10 who is shouldered with being a creative player in terms of making goals and assists and key passes. He also does the other work but hes not played as a 10 to be a defensive player is he? They are nothing alike. Sure they always make themselves available to their team mates but other than that they aren't similar in any way or have the same role in a team. Anyway back to the contract situations. I believe players like Ramires, Cahill, Courtois and Hazard's renewals should be prioritized over Oscars right now.
  5. Perhaps yeah but you look at how much it cost could to say replace Salah with say Sterling or Lallana. An extra 10 or 15M on top of what we paid for Salah. Fuck knows how much Sterling could go for as well, he could go for anything beyond 50M
  6. What do you really think any of those 3 would start week in week out for Chelsea Jason? Cmon man.... The point was there aren't very many English players who are at the same level as players like Courtois, Fabregas, Hazard and Costa who are gonna be the backbone of this team for the next 5-7 years.
  7. Yes maybe we do not have a lot of English players but honestly when you look at the value for money that United, Liverpool and Arsenal have got for splashing out for players like Shaw, Lallana, Welbeck, Chambers and Oxlade-Chamberlain a few years back is it any wonder? I would rather get value on players who were foreign as opposed to English if it meant we got better deals. The better a team you have the more chance of winning the title, simple as that. Some of the arguments for having an English core is ridiculous sometimes, we are an English club bla bla bla, yes I know that but honestly who out of the England squad tonight would get in the current Chelsea XI other than Cahill and perhaps Sterling and Baines? Hart ahead of Courtois? No. Stones and Baines ahead of Ivanovic and Azpilicueta? No. Well, Baines maybe? Even though Filipe Luis can't get in the team? Jones ahead of Terry? No. Chamberlain and Sterling ahead of Willian and Hazard? No. Sterling maybe would instead of Willian perhaps. Henderson and Wilshere ahead of Cesc and Matic? No. Rooney and Sturridge ahead of Costa? No. If there were genuine English players better than what we have then I would be all for signing English players but the point is there aren't. Even the average English players get sold for a fucking shitload of money too, 35M for someone like Andy Carroll? We got a very good striker for 32M in Diego Costa. The value for money ain't there and until it changes I wouldn't be surprised if clubs like ourselves and Man City keep looking towards more foreign players than English players. There is a reason England haven't won a world cup since 1966 and why teams like Liverpool and Arsenal, who have a lot of average English players in their starting XI, wont win the PL any time soon. I would rather we promoted youngsters from the academy than bought English players like Lallana or Henderson or whoever else for ridiculous prices if we were to have a more English core. We have had 3 of the very best English players of the last 10-15 years in our team last season in Lamps, Cole and Terry and we still have Terry, but who that is English right now is as good as any of those 3? There is nobody at that sort of standard, which was a high quality.
  8. Don't see the hype really. Hes good on the ball, when he played instead of Jagielka for Everton you could see he has more composure, more mobility and better distribution than him but he really isn't that great. I am actually surprised he started tonight for England, hes really not that good. If Roy Hodgson wasn't an idiot he'd of had Nathaniel Clyne in about the squad, he is the only English RB I would think we should look at, really surprised that he wasn't called up when players like Delph, Colback and Rose were.
  9. The whole Rangers thing is just a joke, there are multiple Rangers fans I know that are voting no solely because they are Rangers fans and they sing 'God save the queen' and all that bullshit.... football should have nothing to do with voting yes or no for independence. .
  10. You can see why hes in the squad. Matic really had a mixed game as did Ramires and they struggled at times to give the back 4 protection. Mikel came on when he did, made us a bit more solid and it ended up being a very good substitution.
  11. I am really undecided. Every few weeks you get the odd cunt going round with a survey asking are you voting yes and no giving pros and cons but I really can't decide. I'm thinking more towards yes but I'm no 100% certain. There's more money for us if do go independent, as we will get the revenue and tax off the oil in the North Sea and the opportunity for plenty more jobs, which could help the economy pick up. Also there is one Scottish cabinet minister in Westminster right now...... we'd have our own government if we were independent and decide things for Scotland that maybe isn't as high a priority in Westminster. Oil will run out but they have predicted that it will be 2050 at least before it runs out and especially up where I stay there is a lot of talk and a lot of renewable stuff going on, wind turbines, solar panels and all that jazz. Right enough wind turbines are right ugly looking bastards of things but still its going to just keep growing and getting bigger and bigger so I don't think oil running out is exactly a massive concern right now. I think if we do go independent, you guys will lose a lot of money because the bulk of the oil and gas money that goes to Westminster is from Scotland. Some studies say that upto 90% of the money received for oil and gas is from the Scottish Continental Shelf which just shows how much money an independent Scotland could have for those things. Which is I suppose why people are saying we should go independent so we can get all of the pie instead of a slice of it.
  12. I was actually disappointed that he left Celtic after everything they had done for him, he was going to deported, along with his family back to Somalia but Tommy Burns spoke to a panel on his behalf and managed to convince them that he could stay because he was a special talent. Also when he signed for Celtic they paid for a big apartment for his family to stay in and that, they did a lot of things for him really, they also appointed him with an agent at first but he later changed his agent to whoever this guy is now and then started to become more arrogant and didn't seem to have the same sort of loyalty he had shown before...
  13. Should have gone SPL or League 1 this season then maybe Championship next year... idiot with an even bigger money grabbing idiot agent.
  14. Well if he doesn't play you can't say its not his fault. He knew that Courtois was coming back and he knows how good Courtois is. Very stupid decision like Cudicini's one to stay when Cech came in, eventually won his place in the team and became the established number 1. You only get better playing football, Cech at 32 or whatever is still in his prime for a goalkeeper, ridiculous move to sit on the bench than go and play football somewhere.
  15. Its a decent move, he would of got minutes here and there but the fact he had a massive injury last season maybe its better hes in Milan where he will definitely be a regular and can get a good amount of games and build himself back up without the pressure of competing with players like Fabregas and Matic for a place in the team. All in all it means we have got the squad sorted too in terms of the foreign quota and everything.
  16. I'll just pretend I knew you were joking in the first place... lol
  17. Going to City would be a ridiculous move. They play a system which their team is built mainly to accommodate and get the best out of their midfield players - Toure, Silva and Nasri. It's also been said multiple times that Falcao has not exactly got a great all round game unlike the strikers that they already have - Dzeko, Negredo, Aguero and Jovetic - so it would be a daft move to be honest, even if they lose Negredo, just seems like overkill, they've probably looked at what we have done buying Fabregas and Costa to improve our team and maybe signing him as a panic buy? Although they play 4-4-2 and you'd ideally want 4 strikers for that system but still Falcao to go there, big wages and compete with Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic? Why? Just promote a young guy maybe? They really needed to get a quality partner for Kompany in defense, not convinced about Mangala, hes not even started a game yet has he and even then hes still severely overrated. Demichellis is also very dodgy when exposed against pacey players in 1 v 1s which will happen because City, like Arsenal open up something hellish when in possession and are vulnerable to the counter.
  18. Are you off your nut? Fucking hell.
  19. Good players don't always cost a lot of money. I'll take him for 8 or 8.5M, you cant go wrong with that because if he doesn't hit the heights 8 or 8.5M isn't much and if you sell him for a loss its not gonna be much like Ba's transfer after getting him for 7M and selling him for about 5M.
  20. but you want Bony? Remy is probably better than Bony...
  21. He probably could do with ditching that fucking moron of a money grabbing agent that he has. A move to Russia's second division could push him to his limits, as he will obviously be learning a new language and a new culture but again it could be very good for the mental side of his development. He needs straightening out because he is an absolute moron. Lets hope so because he is as thick as mince, he has done some very stupid things. He reminds me a bit of Balotelli with some of the idiotic behavior but at least Balotelli has proven himself in Europe and has won a PL title, FA Cup, Serie A and CL among other things...
  22. Look he might have had a bad game last night but United are in a bad way struggling under van Gaal but you can't doubt hes a quality striker. Look at the problems hes caused us in the past, he knows where the goal is. I mean if we judged players on their bad games we wouldn't buy any would we?
  23. Please Milan do us a favor. Sick of seeing this cunt in our shirt.
  24. Why would Jose drop Schurrle? Everton play with a very high line and his diagonal runs could be very very effective. Same team again I'd imagine except for Oscar out Ramires in, 3 man midfield with Matic holding. Diego Costa will make people see why we sold Lukaku in this game I think. I can see us reverting to a more counter attacking orientated game plan as Everton will probably have lots of the ball and push both fullbacks up and leave themselves very open which I think plays into our hands with players like Costa, Schurrle and Hazard in the team.
