He was obviously marked in the game today, Rodgers even stated in a interview somewhere after the game he wanted to man-mark Fabregas to null his influence. Anyway it wasn't the big games we had to improve on from last season remember, it was the smaller teams we played that set up to frustrate us that fucked us for the title, so if he doesn't score 23 goals, create 310 goals and make 49649 tackles in a big game (or whatever your 'crazy' expectations are even when you consider he was an Arsenal player who more or less struggled in big games 9 times out of 10) I don't mind because he does alright and he makes the difference in the smaller games, which is where we struggled last season.

Well that is a load of shit. If a team has set out with a gameplan that is to man mark a player like Fabregas and the marker is doing it well then he is gonna struggle to impose himself as much. In other games Oscar and Matic have controlled the game in phases when Fabregas has been marked tightly and they continued to do so today. Lets be honest, hes played worse in big games for Arsenal than he has done for us, his mentality for the bigger games has improved under Pep, Tito and Martino at Barca and even at Chelsea now he seems to be better equipped to play in bigger games and he is a much more mature footballer.

Muller would actually be an extraordinary signing (although that sounds cheesy haha), love how he plays, hes not a glamourous footballer who beats people for fun like Hazard or plays brilliant passes like Cesc but hes effective, a grafter, can play different positions and the one thing that impresses me the most is how he sees the game and finds space where others wouldn't. I can't believe he turned us down after the 2010 World Cup, he would of been a great signing. Pity hes probably gonna be at Bayern for most of his career.

I have to disagree about the last part, he's been pretty solid defensively other than tonight's goal and when Zaha somehow skipped past him to set up whoever it was who scored Palace's goal a few weeks ago, the only problem is when you're a defender and you make a mistake or get beaten in the box it usually ends up costing your team.

Big game so Ivanovic will have a stormer and people will think hes the Serbian Cafu which in reality is quite possible because hes normally brilliant in the big games. Expecting Hazard to score too and Cesc will make Steven Gerrard look very shite. Beating Liverpool at Anfield is always fun isn't it?

City struggling is no surprise. Most teams in Europe play 4231 or 433 and Pellegrini sets City up to play 442, they're outnumbered in midfield and not to mention they have poor defensive organization and whoever is partnering Yaya Toure mostly has to do double the work due to a lack of awareness and laziness. Pellegrini will be gone next season, even if he wins a trophy this year because of the terrible European campaign they've had, so much was said about him being very good tactically but hes not that great. Mancini's team might not have been as open and didn't score as many goals but they had balance.

Not a great first half but to be fair we stepped it up second half and should have won but still we're unbeaten all season, we are incredibly difficult to beat even if we play badly because we can score goals from set plays and open play as well and then add being difficult to break down at times.

If Remy wasn't unfit he'd have not started so its ok, he won't play a lot of games this season. Diego should've started but we have Liverpool at the weekend so I understand why Didier started but confused as to why he stayed on so long.

Quite frankly who cares we won the game 2-0, ruined their title hopes and a few months later Suarez was at it, biting someone again and quite frankly he should have got a longer ban for it being his third offence. Cunt.

Hes a good young player, definitely worth keeping an eye on because in 2 years or so he will be far too good for Liverpool if they keep going on the way they have been this season but I am yet to see him put in a performance against someone like ourselves or Man City where he makes the difference, you know? Doing it against Everton or Tottenham or Aston Villa or Hull or whoever is alright but I was less convinced by him when we played Liverpool both games last season and even one of the games against City as well he didn't look like much special. If hes really a top top young player he needs to do it in the biggest games against the biggest teams.

Robben, Ballack and Mata. Not giving Ballack a contract renewal was the start of our problems in midfield in my eyes, the guy had everything; power, positional sense, he was a leader, great in the air, good passer, scored goals, could tackle and most of all he didn't mind sacrificing his own game so we could get the best out of other players who played higher up where he would have prefered too at times (mainly Lamps), a real team player. Robben could have been one of the best players in modern Chelsea history if he had stayed but you only get one chance to go to Real Madrid and the grass wasn't greener in all truth for him. Mata could have also been one of our best players of modern times if he had stayed but he went so I can't say much else.

Pique is a good defender, maybe not the best out there but he is hardly worse than Cahill. Hes been out of sorts this year but I've been reading that he isn't a regular under Luis Enrique, also I don't feel he suits a very high line due to his lack of pace. He'd be a good signing here, he is a good defender, we don't play a very high line and he is very comfortable on the ball. 23M or whatever would be a decent deal in my eyes, for someone who has won absolutely everything he can win.

Really have high hopes for Thorgan, he seems to be doing well at Mochengladbach. Hopefully he will be here at Chelsea next season or if thats too soon the year after, really was skeptical about his signing due to the fact we'd just gotten Eden too and I thought it was just because we'd sigmed Eden but I can really see him playing in our first team soon, he looks a great player in the making.

Busquets positioning is definitely better, his use of the ball is better, his general football understanding is probably better (if you get what I mean, he can see what's going to happen a few passes before others and read the game very well - although that sounds like a load of crazy bullshit the way its worded haha), offensively Matic edges Busquets but I've seen Sergio play excellent passes from a deeper position, in front of the center backs, taking out maybe 3 or 4 players out at a time (he did it against Man United a lot of times in the CL final and also numerous occasions against Real Madrid IIRC, just one ball took out numerous players and turned their midfield around) that Matic hasn't really done. I don't see how everyone thinks Busquets is shit now a days (not aimed at you in particular mate just a lot of people seem to have changed their tune towards him lol), hes still one of the finest midfield players in European football. Don't get me wrong I am a big big fan of Matic but I don't think hes better than Sergio Busquets.

Really? Well thats both of your opinions but I still think Busquets is the best in that position. Barca haven't been as good as they were 2 or 3 years ago but he is a brilliant footballer, Matic is a great player too but he isn't better than Busquets in my opinion.
