Well its not just me that thinks that so get your head out your arse and have a look instead of constantly insisting 'best of all time, you're 18 years old bla bla bla' I don't actually see an argument just you putting up a stupid age comment every time.
-
We'll see. Messi is certainly the best of all time so far.
-
YES BUT NOT IN 2002 THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT DO YOU THINK A 6 YEAR OLD IS GOING TO BE WATCHING THE WORLD CUP WHEN SAID 6 YEAR OLD IS PROBABLY TOO BUSY PLAYING WITH TOYS LIKE MOST 6 YEAR OLDS?????????? WHY WOULD I WATCH TAPES OF THE WORLD CUP IN 2002 INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY JUST WATCHING IT ON THE TELEVISION IF I WAS WATCHING IT. GOD ALMIGHTY

Man are you blind? read the thing. 'Then when we got a computer and sky a few years later, I started to get right into football you start looking at clips of people on the internet and try to imitate their moves and watch football more etc. You know? Like every normal fucking kid. ' 'A FEW YEARS LATER' AFHSHFAFGHASGS KEYBOARD RAGE Just stop replying to me you're clearly misunderstanding everything.
-
No. I watched a few from the 2002 WC on tapes when I started watching and playing football more than usual in 2004 as my grandad (who really is the reason I am a Chelsea fan today as they were his team) had recorded them on VHS. Sure I can't recall everything that happened in the game, which 8 year old could? I can't remember precisely which games they were other than th final but thats because the whole carry on about will he play or wont he play. Then when we got a computer and sky a few years later, I started to get right into football you start looking at clips of people on the internet and try to imitate their moves and watch football more etc. You know? Like every normal fucking kid. Anyway Messi is the best footballer that has lived and he probably will be remembered as the best of all time. Me a child prodigy? Right I am big headed sometimes but if you want to call me that, thats fine by me, I am great.
-
Did I say all his games? Did I fuck. Half the games I seen of him were obviously at Real when I really got into football but my grandad had taped a few from the 2002 World Cup that I eventually got a hold of when I started getting into football and then did a bit of looking when we got a computer and seen that goal in the UEFA cup final, the goal for Barcelona where he beat 4 or 5 players, various dribbles demonstrating how good he was at controlling the ball and how he was really a unique one of a kind player. I wasn't lucky enough to see him play live when he was at Inter but for fuck sakes that doesn't mean that I never seen him play at all and couldn't tell if he was a great player or not. Quite frankly you really annoy me man.
-
Just because I am 18 years old that doesn't mean I haven't seen videos or taped games of him from years ago when most of my family are football daft does it? Sure I didn't see him live but relatives of mines who were passionate about football did get to watch him when he was younger. Ignorant bastard.
-
Sorry but I don't know how people can contest that. Messi when he was at his highest performances of his career was scoring 40+ a season, creating so many goals and he was churning out world class performances when he wanted to. Sure you can say Barca played to Messi's strength but so did most teams Ronaldo played for. What we seen of Ronaldo in his best years was great too obviously, a world class player, a true great but Messi is the greatest.
-
Whats the point when we have Zouma? If we are to sign a center back ideally I would prefer we got someone who is a much more experienced player, someone who is 25 years or older and has his best years ahead of him (ideally a signing like Cahill: someone whos at a good level but can get better - to replace John Terry they would need to be much much better level than Cahill but that sort of age) or a player like Raphael Varane or Laporte who both look great central defensive prospects but are already at a good standard right now.
-
Hakan Çalhanoğlu surely???
-
Yeah but unlike Loserpool, Ibrahimovic was actually able to back himself up and do what he said he could, unlike Liverpool who claim they are the biggest team in England but haven't even won a Premier League title.
-
Cesc is world class and one of the best in the world at what he does and how he plays.... The Jose mould? Would you describe to me what the ''Jose mould is'? Also Wesley Sneijder, Deco, Quaresma all say hi.
-
Mata didn't fit the philosophy really, he wasn't as all round a player as Oscar and didn't have the pace or stamina to play out wide along with Mourinho's defensive instructions. Cech or Courtois whats the difference? Ones Belgian, ones Czech, both are world class, the younger one is in for the longer term. Koke if he would play on our right would be an interesting proposition but he looks more like a central player, a 10 or an 8.
-
That wasn't the point and quite frankly I couldn't care less if Thiago is 4 years younger etc. The point is, you are on about signing Pogba to replace 2 players who are nailed on in our team, where we don't need to improve. Its just greed, why would we sign Pogba? No need at all
-
Well if thats what your going to argue why didn't he go and just sign Pogba over Cesc? Because he didn't need him because he has Ramires who is perhaps an inferior player but an athletic box to box midfielder. He needed someone like Cesc, so he got him and bam here we are and yet you're still complaining and unhappy because we haven't signed Thiago Alcantara who is apparently the best thing since sliced bread although he couldn't get a game ahead of Cesc at Barca when he was there and Pogba who is a completely unnecessary signing. Honestly we are so spoilt, we get genuine class players like Fabregas and Matic and then we sit saying we should sign other players???
-
Yes I doubt a more athletic CM would start over Cesc because Cesc controls the game for us and is a footballer who uses the ball better than most in the world. In terms of how we are going in terms of philosophy and style I don't see us needing Pogba as we have Matic who can play just as well and also provide that physicality and athleticism. Pogba is techniacl but is he as good as Cesc technically? No way in hell.
-
Ah I see. I think Ramires is a fine footballer still and not to forget Mikel. We aren't exactly lacking in midfield anymore, I can't see us moving for Pogba unless we sell Oscar and move to a 3 man midfield although Oscar has shown interesting qualities playing in a more central midfield role and also great willingness to become that third central midfield player in moments this season and last season.
-
Doubt it very much.
-
Still don't see why people are commenting for us to sign Pogba? Wheres he gonna play? He isn't going to play anywhere if Matic and Cesc are both fit its as simple as that. Hes too good to sit on the bench as well and quite frankly he wouldn't come here to do so.
-
I still can't believe Torres didn't go round Mignolet, score and then celebrate like fuck in front of all those Scousers in the Kop end. He might of been shite but that would've been brilliant.
-
To think we paid 7 or 8 million for this guy is just insane. Best defender in the Premier League, left back or right back.
-
Would be a bit daft to get rid of him in January I think. Still has a lot to show, just needs time and a run of games to get it together, only problem is will he? Who knows. Definitely a good wee player but not exactly at the level Hazard or Willian are.
-
Scotland 1 Republic of Ireland 0. Some goal. Fair to say everythings so much better under Gordon Strachan. Now England on Tuesday should be a cracking game like the last one! Also the Faroe Islands beat Greece.. holy shit, must be their first win in their history or something daft like that..
-
Na I'd rather get Reus who is just as good if not better. Also would be cheaper. Much cheaper.
-
The chances of us winning the PL with or without Reus are still high but think back to Jose's second season here in his first spell in charge, did he really need to go and buy Michael Essien? Not really, but he did didn't he? Its not just a matter of improving the chances of winning the Premier League or Champions League as such but improving competition and strength of the squad as well so we can compete across every front. Also having a very good wide forward in Reus playing on the right? He has an impressive goalscoring record, probably better than Hazards and much better than Willian and Andre's as well as being a much superior player to both of them so what harm would it do? Honestly if it was someone who is like 21 and needed regular games to develop to a certain level then yes signing him would be pointless but signing a player better than anyone we've got really is not pointless.
