  1. Getting increasingly difficult with all the money in the game now, which makes it an even bigger shame the opportunity that Frank missed for a loan at City. For all their similar situations with the club, Terry has always been different, or at least that's what I'd like to believe. John for me has always been Mr. Chelsea and showed passion for the club that no one else shows. For us, I'd probably put my money on Ake. Even though, he's not English, he currently looks the one most likely to make it from the youth academy. He's also captained us in several age groups, so he is Chelsea through and through. Have hopes for Ruben Loftus Cheek as well.
  2. One comment which I clearly called as the last warning for any insults, does not make "a lot of disrespect". I'll say it again. Any insults to players or members will be punished.
  3. No. People should be allowed to express their opinions on the matter as long as they do so respectfully.
  4. Yes, for the vast majority of footballers it is all about the money. But in some rare cases, the footballer develops a relation with the club and its fans that money is no longer the dominant factor. Those footballers turn into icons for their clubs and cult heroes for their fans. It's not a fantasy. Often players who have spent as much time at a club as Frank, they pay the ultimate respect for the fans by never playing for a rival or in the same league. People like Nest, Raul, Giggs...etc. For us, Drogba didn't consider moves inside England when he left, Cole refused a move inside England which would have been more comfortable and probably pays a lot more and went to Roma instead. Heck, Del Piero refused a move to Liverpool out of respect for the 39 Juventus fans that died in a match against Liverpool in 1985! So the disappointment or rather the disillusionment comes from the fact that we thought that Frank loves the club and respects the fans as much as those players respect theirs.
  5. No insults. To Frank or any Chelsea player or members here. Final warning.
  6. Ake and Zouma are starting. Did you expect us to start the U18 side?
  7. 4-1 Chelsea. Mikel super hat-trick. Beckford for Bolton.
  8. Depends on how we do. If we're up by 3 around 60 minutes then he probably gets a run out for about half an hour.
  9. It's her dynamic IP that causing the problem. I have the same issue. But it should all be fine when she switches to the full version of the site.
  10. Petition: We should add a Pellegrino water bottle image to the list of emoticons so we can use it to refer to the old cunt managing City from now on
  11. I'm sure you can make an exception for this kind of emergency. Beats starving till Friday...
  12. It's televised here so there's bound to be streams.
  13. You have Tesco in Somalia?! Can't you just borrow a few pounds (no idea what your currency is) from someone for a few days?
  14. Well, Cahill and Terry were never alone. We had 11 men behind the ball for most of the match. While the City back 4 often had to deal with our couter attacks on their own. They never let Costa hold up the ball to set up the counter. Every time he got the ball with his back to goal someone was quick onto him with a tackle. They did brilliantly. There's no shame in admitting that.
  15. Is this at Anfield? If not, I really can see Boro going through. Liverpool away from home are very vulnerable.
  16. But it's not about his past achievements. He is a Chelsea legend, one of our best players in history and our top scorer, nothing can take that away. But similarly, his achievements can't take away the fact that he chose to play for a rival of ours after explicitly saying that he wouldn't ever play in England. Those great goals and all the things he helped us win are etched in history; nothing can change them. But those goals are proof of what a great and amazing player he was. But this isn't about Frank the player, this is about Frank the Chelsea fan. This is about what his decision to move to City says about him. This is about how much he loves the club and how much he respects the fans. And the question in your post might as well be directed at Frank himself. Is he willing to let 13 glorious years be tarnished for a few extra months in the EPL? Because you can't blame the fans for that. Some of the reactions have been completely over the top, and the insults towards him are embarrassing. But at the end of the day, those are emotional reactions. It is his conscious decision that put him in this position. You have to blame his conscious decision and not the fans' emotional reactions. And one last point: For me at least, it's not about the goal. Like I said before, I expect nothing less than him giving 100%. It is about his decision to sign for City and put him self in a position where he has to play and try to score against us. The goal was just a reminder of what that decision could mean. It was also proof that some of the reasoning behind defending him when he moved to City ("It's just for fitness.", "He won't even make their bench.", "He has a clause where he can't play against Chelsea."....etc.) were all just excuses for us to try our best and not see the truth.
  17. Watch the goal again. He actually starts on the right side next to Eden, then he makes a great horizontal run to the opposite side when the ball moves right, and then times his run at the far post to perfection that he is still ahead of Mangala but not offside. That is the kind of striker movement that coaches try to teach to young kids in academies. I don't think anyone in our squad, bad Costa, would have scored that goal. You are right, winger are expected to defend, and Schurrle did. But he is not expected to defend the wing all by himself. He is after all an attacker. He's even originally a striker. You can't expect him to get isolated 1vs1 against an opposition attacker and win the duel. If he does then that is something extra. But he did his job by being there and trying his best to defend. Plus, why all the hate for Andre? Still upset about those two goals he scored against you?
  18. Because not moving Iva to CB means that we'll need to get TWO new CBs in the next two windows and only worsens our defensive troubles this season.
  19. Costa? Tbf, the "natural evolution" of the team as Term put it was not that he would be dropped completely, but that he would replace Cahill at CB.
  20. Well, Kudos to you, sir And thank you for disrupting the forum and derailing the thread so you can "say what you wanted".
  21. Then you can see why you were warned and the people actually defending Frank, which they have every right to, were not. Glad we're on the same page
  22. How in the world is insulting other Chelsea fans "defending Lamps"? I'm sure he'd be delighted that you called Chelsea fans "cunts"...
