This Gladbach vs Villa Real is the weirdest thing ever. Uche comes on for Villa Real, spends 5 seconds on the pitch, scores with his first touch, gets injured in the process and is subbed back off. Then ref stops match after finding a mobile phone on the pitch which turned out to have been dropped by Villa Real medic when he was aiding Uche off the pitch. Don't know about you, but that's a first for me...

Breath of fresh air. I'm trying to convince myself that Jose would have been so impressed as to start him against City, but I honestly doubt he'd change the back four. I know you're joking, but I did seriously suggest that the other day in the Cesc thread because he 'd be perfect at stepping up and covering the spaces in left by the central midfielders and playing 1vs1 when needed. But even I can't see it happening simply because of his lack of physical strength and heading ability.

I wanted a CB this past summer, and I do hope we go for one in Jan, even if it means us playing an inflated price for him.

FFS, we DO NOT play a "pivot" by any technical sense of the word! We play with a single holding midfielder in Matic, a play maker in Cesc and a box-to-box or 'utility' player in Oscar or Ramires. Now, the choice between Ramires and Oscar obviously gives us different qualities on the pitch, and also affects minorly the roles and freedom of the other two central midfielders, depending on the dynamism and energy and technical ability of both. But in neither case are we a "pivot".

Tbf, Sum41 were punk for a very small portion of their time. Now, I wouldn't even call them pop-punk. They were my favorite band for a little bit when I was around 13-14. Basically just for the "Does This Look Infected" album, which is their only true punk album, and by far their best, imo. So, do you like reading? What kind of books do you like? Science? Literature? Or just football? Do you have a favorite book/novel? What's your favorite subject at school? (don't say PE! ) Do you watch a lot of TV aside from football? Do you have a TV show that you follow and just must watch? How often do you watch the news? Are you into politics? Have I bored you already?

I thought that defensively, this was his best game so far for us, apart maybe from Burnley. He pressed mostly well and rarely got drawn too much out of position. But people will only remember that he lost the ball for the goal. That's just how football is.

I think in Basketball there is no chance, especially if we're talking full court 5on5. Physically, they just won't be able to do anything on the inside game.

Defensive discipline? Our defending literally started at the edge of our own penalty box! Fun times... We still had that period in November where we had a run of bad results and dropping points, even though, in terms of fixtures, that was supposed to be the easiest period for us. Think that says more about the type of teams that we concede first against than about our character as a team.

Why does it look like Chicharito is bringing Carlo on?

We can't let our good start get to our heads. Remember under RDM? We were 7 points clear at the top a few games into the season. I refuse to talk about our title chances before January; not before our usual "winter slump".
