It's sad to see how far we have fallen under this ownership. Former players scoring against us - water is wet.
A clip of Silva crying at FT on the weekend while Madueke was joking around with Grealish. That sums up the club from top to bottom.

    timing is perfect
He will obviously become Germany national team manager after the euros. That has somehow always been his end game. Tbh I am looking forward to this. We have highly talented players who are mostly  half assed dimwits. If Klopp is not the right person to get them excited to play for their country no one is.
I know most of you fellow Blues dont like him. He is a sore loser and a bit of a hypocrite. But as a German, knowing him from his time in Mainz and Dortmund two of the more likeable traditional clubs, I can totally understand why he is revered as a God in Liverpool and well respected back home.
If you count how many managers we have had during his time at Liverpool it is easy to think we could have won so much more with someone like him. He is in the end a decent manager from the sporting side but also a ppl person so having him in the club instantly improves boosts mood and culture. He also has a clear footballing philosophy that he has never compromised on. With his ability to get players fully on board he has always brought key elements for longtime success or at least stability.

We have been very, very, very lucky to suffer our decline while the whole English football was declining as well. It has allowed us to keep the head out of the water and to win two PL, otherwise we would be right now at the same level as Liverpool. Seeing our inability — or rather, our non-desire — to manage the squad and to renew it properly, in a few seasons we will be in a dangerously dire situation. I mean, ten years ago we had world-class (outfield) players in every position in the field : Terry, Lampard, Cole, Drogba, etc... Now, we have only one and it's Hazard.
Abramovich needs to understand that doing these cheap business will cost us greatly in the mid to long term. Not only it is crucially weakening our squad, but it does also hurt our ability to attract big names and/or futur stars. Young kids want to play with Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Robben, Pogba, etc...  The only one of our players that has this power of attraction is Hazard — and he is not eternal. That is also why, back in the days, we were able to sign good players for the bench : because they had great players before them and thus could deal with it. Now, we cannot even convince the likes of Chalobah to stay on the bench while years ago players queued for that. And if you throw in the mix that every two years we are in a shambles, then you have a club that is not very attractive at all. I fear the future is not very bright for this club...

even if we line up with 5x3x2 our time is not bad
we only need a newgoalkeeper, another winger and another center forward
next year with thiago lefting the club we may need another player, but lets see how fofana situation will be fixed
is not a bad team, tbh. our problem are our absurd number of injuries

I was at the game yesterday. What an experience!
I was super impressed but at the same time bummed we gave it up. We completely outclassed them. I know we can talk moral victories and all that, but they are the best team or second best team out at the moment and we thoroughly outplayed them the majority of that game even with all our injuries.

We are a young team and you could sense inexperience and nervousness set in as they got one back. It will happen, but we are clearly making strides - which is important. This team can be very good on it’s day and put it together - which is exactly what a young team is.

Cucu, Conor, Enzo and Thiago were standouts for me. Palmer plays some wonderful balls. Mudryk screams a player who once he gets rolling he will become something great. Still looks a little afraid to be himself and try things. Gusto was impressive for a large chunk then had some mistakes.
I’ll say again but Conor has really won me over. Added class and poise to his game.  Becoming my favourite player.

We really should have had about 6 goals from that but - we are getting there. Palmer could have slotted that shot that went just wide. Should have put the interception away. Levi had an open header… Jackson has to hit some shots earlier too.

Great game to go to. Super chuffed. No win - but you can see us turning it around. Have patience. We are young and this was a naive performance if to put it no other way.

Arsenal called it a day. We genuinely needed to keep our discipline as Arsenal were jogging about after the 70th minute. Football is all about momentum, and Sanchez, under zero pressure, decided to bring Arsenal back to life. They seized Sanchez’s gift. It was sabotage.

We will always be a ‘what if’ team until this complacency and naivety is gone.

We were tactically excellent. All their chances came from stupid mistakes from our sides while we carved them open a lot. They did not really create anything apart from that 2nd goal. All their possession was trash, we completely waltzed them in midfield. With either a proper striker or goalkeeper we win this comfortably. Best performance of the season for the first 70minutes for me

I am not even that shocked bc I never expected us to win a big match with this group - inexperienced, naive and ravaged by injuries, even 2-0 up. Even though Arsenal never looked threatening we were never comfortable. Sanchez missed about every punch and was terrible all game, one time chasing saka down to the corner flag, then bumping into our own defenders. Not his first erratic game. He was always gonna cost us again. Then Caicedo, who rightly should get praised for dominating Jorginho and rice but he also has a handful of turnovers every bloody game. All went unpunished today but two where very close to our box. He has to stop those. He is noweher near a 120m player but has shown some promise, no excuse not to cut the crap.

I rather have this learning experiences in a season we don’t compete than later on as well. Also there clearly is progress. Conor, Mudryk and Palmer are making strides in their development. But one thing is worrying. We still don’t make any progress in terms of maturity in front of either goal. Palmer was gifted a 2nd and could just have taken one more touch. Madueke and Nj looked completely useless. We can’t develop as a group as long as not everyone gives it their.

If someone is in need of an example of what "lack of experience" looks like, this would be it. This is just a single case though: how to see the game out. There will be others, I'm afraid. Today was Sanchez and Gusto; next time will be someone else.
Regarding "deserving" or not, we scored two fluke goals, and they scored 1 fluke and one good goal, so I'm not sure I have much to complain about.
Good performance against a better team, so not a great result evidently, but one we shouldn't too upset about.

Still got a lot of mistakes in them, City were very very poor by their standards. But how Arsenal nearly won a title with Zinchenko playing every week at LB is mind blowing. Never seen someone who looks so likely to give the ball away in his own half so much when pressed, he’s good technically and suits that inverted fullback role at times but he also can be so sloppy. Raya didn’t look very confident either and they kept passing the ball back to him every 15 passes.
They will always bring intensity and not surprised when you’ve got that jumped up prick Arteta on the sidelines, he’s about 5000 times more animated than Conte was, guy needs to lay off it a bit. He would be a much better manager for it. Taking the emotional side of things out of the game is going to be their downfall with Arteta. He gets too caught up in the moment. Teams look to their managers for inspiration and a bit of guidance not gonna get it with him marching about at 200mph to contest stupid small decisions like a throw in or corner.
You could see they cracked under pressure too last season. Everyone says they ran out of steam but for me they cracked. Yea they maybe got a but of fatigue but their too emotional as a team and needed a coach who’s influence could calm and steady the ship a bit.
Pains me to say it but Spurs been best team so far. Still may concede chances but their ability to bounce back from bad moments and Ange Postecoglu as a whole (big fan of what he did in up in Glasgow in terms of rebuilding and transforming the mood at Celtic), think the way they’ve started and against who they’ve played. They couldn’t have asked for a better start.
