  1. Hmmph....lot of smoke. But I don't see the fire yet. However, if the Salah deal is already confirmed...
  2. I remember him as good against us, but certainly not the same level of impact that Willian had when he played againt Chelsea IMO. But then again, he apparently has a cheaper price tag
  3. God Annoying if this were true.. If we're making money off selling Juan Mata, would rather a) Use the money for FFP purposes or b. Save it for a big name. Wouldn't want to waste more on another bench warmer, although its looking likely after ALREADY offloading De Bruyne
  4. To tell the truth, Hazard has always hinted at an interest for playing in a club like Madrid...which isn't the case with Mata
  5. I guess its time to add one more to your sig.
  6. Alex, but what about that bit you said about the wounded/sleeping tiger?
  7. Salah...lol...didn't he play for Steua or something.? CoULdn't find anyone else...
  8. I honestly don't see how any striker has done markedly better than the other (despite Eto'o being the only one to bag a hat-trick). They've both done their jobs, and have been effective in their own ways. I did say at the start of the season, that all three would get their chances to start with Torres bagging the majority when fit. That's the way Jose has set up the starting eleven so far...he uses Eto'o only against really tight defenses
  9. Strength and aerial threat. You need someone upfront to bring down aerial passes from Cech. Sad, but that's the truth when you no longer possess a target-man up front. A target-man would also make more of the below par crosses that come from Ivanovic
  10. I swear, I saw this post only later.
  11. Well, both Eto'o and Hazard speak French. I just left my captions translated.
  12. Yes, we can't say for sure but Mata's prolonged absence from the team reminds me of the time this season when Luiz couldn't get any game time after his defensive blunder in one match (can't remember against which team). But eventually Luiz did find his way back into Mourinho's plans, so I believe Mata will, although it could be longer (depending on squad fitness). The flip-side is you have to remember players like Andre Schurrle have also not featured as much. In fact, Jose whenever possible, likes to keep the same back four and the same attacking midfielders. The only real changes happen in CM (depending on fitness/who's available) and ST (depending on the opposition, Torres for space and Eto'o against tight defences).
  13. Well...., at least he was on the bench!
  14. The irony was that Obi was brought on to ensure a clean sheet, and he ended up playing Hernandez onside. Granted United are always dangerous, but at 3-0 I wish Jose had just kept the same attacking formula instead of clogging up the midfield.
  15. Eto'o: "You know what service we get from the jokers we have in midfield?" Hazard : (I'll tell you where the jokers are...)
  16. Time to lay the smackdown on Hughes and his jabronis.
  17. Well taken goals, first against Liverpool and now against United. The biggest complaint against Eto'o during his time here was the fact that he couldn't convert most of his chances. Hopefully this game marks the turnaround.
  18. Say what you want, but its better having Torres, Eto'o and Ba, than just Eto'o and Ba.
  19. It will be a while. Its no co-incidence that he hasn't started after his reaction to his substitution against Southampton.
  20. I've wondered about it quite a few times this season. Granted, the timing of Ryan's injury did not help his chances of regaining a starting eleven spot. But I think a reason is Ryan's personality as a player hasn't really struck a chord with Mourinho. Bertrand is very hard-working, and follows his manager's instruction to the letter, but he isn't someone as aggressive, as say Sturridge, to really fight for his spot. He seems quite content playing second-fiddle to other full-backs and just being a good team player. That's probably why Mourinho never felt compelled to give him more game-time.
  21. Yes, if Lamps is fit, I fully expect him to start over Matic/Luiz. Think that could very well be the lineup tomorrow No doubt about it. The good thing is we're playing at the Bridge. Wouldn't want us to play at OT under these circumstances.
  22. Lol at this comment: You will be welcome back Didier. Don`t worry about keeping yer eyes closed, refs have been coming to the Bridge and doing it for years:) Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2541233/Drogba-I-want-knock-Chelsea-Champions-League-I-score-Stamford-Bridge-eyes-closed.html#ixzz2qgxo6HNB Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
