  1. His personality is what strikes me the most..I will never forget that night in 2009 against Barca. Ever since then,...before the 09-10 season even began...I felt he was THE man at Chelsea, and would not go out before adding more remarkable chapters to his story at this club.
  2. Probably just trying to avoid any controversy...who knows where he could wind up next season.
  3. People like nono have selective memory, and focus only on the stats that agree with their opinion... Hyprocrites...not worthy of attention.
  4. It makes a lot of sense to play Oscar and Ramires along with someone like Luiz or Mikel in a 4-3-3. The only issue, like others have said is that Hazard and Mata will be pushed out further wide.
  5. I think you meant the winner? When he freed up Hazard in the penalty box to cross?
  6. Sometimes I wonder whether a manager can see anything at all from the touchlines...From the moment he got his first yellow, you could tell Ramires was frustrated and was on course for a second booking. Its in instances like these where some sound advice from the manager can prevent further damage...
  7. There are two things to be considered here: Like Choulo said, JT offers that experience and displays the mentality the team needs to have in crucial games. For this, he will always be an asset to the squad. The second, is that we'll also need to look beyond JT as he's not going to be around forever. We need to breed new champions, and the only way that can happen is if the current crop can win something signficant without the presence of the old guard. The Europa league final could serve as yet another test for that.
  8. He did! At least when he played with Torres anyway (that was when El Nino had developed a phobia of the d-box)
  9. Probably a new contract...highly likely
  10. I'm pretty sure he's already contemplating resting Hazard, especially now that he has doubts regarding his fitness. You can expect Lampard and Ba to start for sure. He's already hinted that Lampard won't play in the final, and Ba can't either. I just hope Mata starts the game as well.
  11. Older and wiser it seems... Remember how he tricked Kyle Naughton into conceding a throw-in? EDIT: (although I suppose it doesn't take too much to trick Kyle Naughton)
  12. Possible, but if that means Terry, Lampard and Ba return to the lineup I wouldn't mind too much. I just hope he doesn't compromise on the midfield completely.
  13. Like Mata, he's very good when he hasn't been run into the ground, playing match after match. Managers seem to forget that his stamina isn't like how it was in the old days. When he's fresh, he's still a beast.
  14. To be fair, Ramires does well at times, including today when he took that goal from Torres' pass. But yes, I would have preferred Lampard coming on as a sub, instead of Benayoun.
  15. Its just not because of a hat-trick....if you think everyone is fickle-minded then you might as well say a lot of people want Falcao just because he scored against us.
  16. Another thing I've noticed, is that Ramires and Luiz seem to feed off each other's confidence. Together they seem unfazed by the opposition (like when Ramires got involved in the scuffle that followed Rafael's foul on Luiz). It could be invaluable to the team in crunch fixtures...just like JT-Lamps/Drogba-Anelka-Malouda/Mikel-Essien.
  17. He shouldn't allow himself to get bullied like that, although its a lot classier than reacting the way Jordi Alba does I suppose. And...don't know if he was doing us any favors or not, but it helped that Fergie didn't start Carrick, Rooney or De Gea today.
  18. First a restaurant...now a boat..lol.
  19. You can't be too sure about what newspapers print or what people say in their biographies... But if I had to guess, I would not say Terry was directly responsible for Mourinho's departure, but at the same time... I don't think he was very supportive when the club took its stance regarding the manager.
  20. And a massive change in the way the board thinks...He will be here next season. I don't really care..we need a new striker anyway.
  21. Ake could be an option, although I doubt Rafa'll play him in a fixture like this...It could mean Luiz back in midfield, or Lampard-Ramires.
  22. I'm also surprised at how much sharpness he has lost since the recent injury,...he was in much better form during the first half of the season.
  23. I know who he plans to displace...
