Jovetic for 23m is not bad at all.
-
Exposed? after a rough start, he ended up with 11 goals and 8 assists in 28 games, not exactly awful, from a winger. You just said he's a good player, and good enough for Spurs - which is the part i don't understand. He will improve Spurs, and he's better than Lennon, so why can't he do a job here? he is not going to be the main man: Mata, Hazard and Cavani (if we get him) will be, his job is to provide another option if needed and that he sure can. You know i don't agree with the whole Sanchez love, so Di Maria > Hulk > Schurrle for me
-
Hulk is good, he scores a decent amount and also assists. The problem before was his high price, due to the way Porto are run, but that will not be the case now - he wants out of Zenit and they'll probably want to sell him also, due to all the problems with the fans. I'd take him for anything under 25m, that's the right wing problem solved right there, and we will be adding around 30 goals a season (goals and assists) to the side.

I actually forgot, good point. But maybe Rafa can use the 4-4-1-1 formation he used here against Basel, that was sexy stuff.
-
Yep the only thing might be adapting to the league. As for substitute factor, you're probably right: Dzeko got 8 goals in 20 starts, and 7 goals in 18 substitute appearances. But why get him as sub, when we already have someone like Lukaku? we need someone who's going to lead the line most games, and sorry, but Dzeko doesn't cut it for me. Ridiculously unfair. Put Torres or Ba in Bayern team and you will see the difference. They create chances, but it's still up to the striker to put the ball in the net, and that's what Gomez has been doing consistently well...forever. Can't even compare him with Lukaku, the latter is younger and faster, but Gomez better at probably everything else.
-
According to wiki, Gomez has 113 goals in 176 games for Bayern, even better, no? Hardly underused, definitely not underrated. Man city have 2 better strikers than him, so it's no surprise he struggles to get minutes. Dzeko, Lukaku, Ba? CL winning attack? erm i'm not even sure it can win PL lol. We don't need a 50m striker really, but someone that can score 25+ goals in a season is needed to lead our line, with Lukaku/Ba providing good enough back up.
-
This. He's hardly ever played well vs Chelsea, i remember in his first season when he lead the line vs Terry and Luiz. It was one of the most pathetic centre forward performances i've ever seen - considering even the average strikers in the PL find a way to score against us lol. I don't rate Dzeko very highly, especially not to be our starting striker. This is just based on his time in the PL, never seen him for the national team or at his former club. He would do alright at Napoli though with their counter-attacking system. No, he's good. He is just like most strikers who struggle in tight games where not many chances can be created. But his finishing and movement are very good so if you can get him just 1 chance, there's a very good chance he'll put it in. He scored like 10 in his last 10 for Bayern last season, while being 2nd choice to Mandzukic. I mean this guy in the last 5 seasons has hit 35 or more goals 3 times, can't ask for much more from a striker.

I'd rather have Mario Gomez...

"Mourinho is shit tactically" lol. Madrid got beat in 3 semi-finals by Barca and Bayern, the 2 best teams in the world. And BVB who are a well oiled machine, and gave Bayern a much better game than Barca or Juventus did. Apart from those games you can hardly judge his tactics because there's only 1 tough team for Madrid in La liga, and last i checked Mourinho didn't lose to Barca in the last 6 games. Anyway, Madrid has always been a team that just buys the best players and there's hardly any sign of team spirit, the type of team spirit Mourinho won with at Inter and Chelsea, where all the players were fully committed to his ideas and gave 200% on the pitch for their manager.

"Proper right winger" KDB is not a winger, and is better in a central position.
-
I think Bale is a one trick pony, i always have. But what he did this season was truly amazing, he scored time and time again from outside the box without doing any skill - just move the ball to his left foot and boom. Hulk is similar but not as efficient and Schurrle is also of the same mold. He already has a good long range strike on him, and given how young he is, there's every chance he improves. You have to take into consideration he was Leverkusen's best player attacking wise, or at least 2nd behind Kessling. So 3 shots a game is probably what is expected given how involved he will be with the attacks. This number will come down at Chelsea, minus the fact he wouldn't start every game, he will not see the ball as often and will have to rely on Mata and Hazard getting him space for those long range shots, and chances in the box.
-
Lol, no one would criticize you if you don't go around diving and biting people oh and don't forget the ridiculous hand of god that stopped Ghana being the first African team in WC semi's smfh.
-
Juve are a top team, they won't be selling any of their best players, unless for a ridiculous price. Marchisio is some player though, a machine.
-
Ba 'atm' is no better than Torres that's for sure. I don't care about other aspects, but he fucks up a shit load of chances.
-
Hopefully. I want him at Chelsea, but i wouldn't mind if he goes anywhere else - Monaco is just a waste of time for a player of his abilities.
-
With the way things are going on the Cavani, Falcao and Lewy fronts, we won't have many other 'top' strikers available when Mourinho takes over. So he'd be a decent option for a year or two, and we will surely win the league with him. Only problem is his attitude and all that moaning at his team-mates.
-
Alright, the only difference between them is Lewy will get about 5 more assists a season, but they still both need help to get their 30+ goals. But some people on here make it seem like Falcao is the only top striker that needs a good pass to score.
-
Ramires is the perfect example of a player with shitty technical ability lol.

Intense pre-season to cost us next season?
Sheva. replied to LDN Blue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Nope. Many of those games the starters will play just few minutes and you will see more of RLC, Ake etc. -
feel sorry for him, losing CL final one of the worst feelings ever.
-
Impressed. Nice close control and composure for such a young player, future looks bright for him - hopefully it's at Chelsea.
-
People on here always complain about Falcao, and how he needs perfect service and can "only score goals". Well yesterday Lewandowski did nothing all game, why? simply because he could not get the ball in enough dangerous positions, except that quick 1v1 Neuer stopped. This is the same case with almost every striker, what differentiates them though is people like Torres and Ba can get the ball in decent positions and blast over, while Lewy and Falcao will put the ball in the back of the net more times than none. All in all, i laugh at people who say Lewy is "waaay better than El Tigre, and more suited to Chelsea" they're both great strikers and that is what this team needs.

Good game that, we did better than couple days ago.

Damn, some goal.
