  1. It was though, our midfield was easily over run. But things have changed since it became 10v10.
  2. Lampard's obsession with breaking the record is costing us. I hope he doesn't start another game till the end of the season.
  3. You don't know this for sure though, if Chelsea were interested in me i'd want very high wages looking at what JT and Torres make. I normally agree with this, i'm just saying 63m will take a large chunk of our budget, and reduce the amount of quality we can add to strengthen the side. Because of FFP, i doubt any club will be spending 150-200m in one summer.
  4. That's too much money, i don't know what kind of budget we will have in the summer, but that will surely take about half of it. Even makes Falcao look cheap lol. No doubt, he's a top player though.
  5. I like Higuain unlike some here, he doesn't play nearly as much as he should at Madrid, but still scores goals. And he looks a completely different player for Argentina alongside Messi.
  6. The one thing i'm worried about is the way he has been moping around, it's exactly what Torres was doing at Liverpool. I don't believe you can just stop trying and all of a sudden turn it on and return to normal. Last i checked he wasn't even doing that great for the national team either. The idea of him at his best is fascinating, just like it was with Torres. But the reality might be very and harshly different. We do not deserve to have another flop as striker - obviously any player we sign can turn out like this, but the risks are way higher in some than others. So forget my posts yesterday lol, i hope we do not sign him.
  7. Lol, if he goes to Monaco, it will be because no top team tried enough to sign him. Just like 2 seasons ago, he wouldn't have gone to Atletico if Chelsea or anyone else made an offer. Morale of the story, too much bs in the media.
  8. He should be out and out striker, who can play deeper only if necessary.
  9. Get him for anything below 30m.
  10. So many people complaining, 4 points from Man utd and Spurs is great for us, now we have to win 1 out of 2 to guarantee a finish above Spurs, who don't exactly have an all too easy game vs Stoke next. We played a good game today, but couldn't get the third and then conceded a random equalizer. But the most important thing is we didn't lose that game.
  11. He was a beast after Ronaldo left, when he was the main man in attack, but every season after that he has been pushed further and further back. He's doing alright but it's clearly not the same Rooney. I can see him thriving in a new team playing as the striker, not in freaking midfield.
  12. I will have a party when Fergie retires.
  13. I haven't noticed how ineffective Hazard is on the right. As far as i'm concerned he's capable of playing effectively in any of the 3 positions behind the striker but is obviously far better as CAM because he gets the ball more. Actually i don't see your point lol.
  14. http://www.marca.com/2013/05/06/futbol/futbol_internacional/mexico/1367839147.html I've not been any attention to him, but apparently he's hardly being used by Fergie - berbatov treatment? - so he's probably on his way out, and Real Madrid are interested in him. I don't think Utd will sell to us, but i do admire his poaching skills, despite hating him for all the offside goals vs us
  15. Peace is a good poster, but he's no god that can tell how a flop will suddenly become a star in an even tougher league lol. It just isn't smart business and all about ifs, it will make sense for a lesser club to take him and if he does well then probably. Don't forget not only has he not been performing for Barcelona, but same applies on the International level too. Also remember the last 2 gambles we made with players not doing well at their clubs - Marin and Torres - didn't exactly turn out well to say the least lol. Sooo, Di Maria > Schurrle >>> Sanchez
  16. Di Maria is a good player, if we can get him, then i'd obviously prefer him to Schurrle. But i've already expressed my concerns about Sanchez on his thread, in short, he doesn't exactly add a new dimension to our game: He dribbles a lot and is not a good finsiher, that's about it. Di Maria on the other hand has amazing assist numbers and Schurrle has one of the best long range shots you can find anywhere.
  17. Is there any real RW available, that we have been linked to? with the exception of Di Maria who i don't believe Madrid will sell then i can't think of any. And Hazard is a very good player, he can play well on the right, and has an unbelievably strong weaker left foot. It's not prioritizing if Schurrle-Mata-Hazard is better than any other combination we have.
  18. hands down best post i've seen on here in the past few months.
  19. It's like playing Robben at LW, you take away his best trick which is cutting in and having a shot at goal. Hazard plays RW almost every game, and there have been times he's started from there - doesn't change anything, he can still beat his man and create space for others.
  20. This is the key thing here. Even Redknapp said it, you'd have to be a complete dud to fail with this current team - which will probably get stronger in the summer. So any decent manager can win here, but only a top top manager can get the team to perform at a consistent level and win the premier league* and Mourinho is probably that man. *Any lucky manager can win CL or other cup competitions, but you don't win the league by luck, unless you're Man utd
