Exactly. Hopefully Everton show their early season form as well. As much as I love Didier, I hope he doesn't start today. I know he has killed them in the past but we really need mobility and pace up top and not a bettering ram like Drogba. Also agree that if we bag the 3 points today and City drop any then it's as good as over. I'm just hoping so much that we handle our business.
-
No way is this going to be an easy match. This will be an Everton who will put a lot of bodies in midfield and make it extremely difficult for Cesc to have time and space on the ball. If we get the 3 points I believe it'll be a very hard fought and narrow victory. I'm going 2-1.
-
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! The bottom club will make as much as the highest earning one did this past season! Christ!
-
A Lukaku against the team who sold him vs current form Cahill....yikes. I hope Zoma starts as well. Also a bit worried about Ivanovic defensively against Baines and Mirallas. We have to really take the game to them at home.
-
I would like to hope that José saw what we saw in regards to Drogba at the weekend. He looked like he didn't even belong in a PL side.We definitely need pace and movement against this Everton side. Remy is a must and it would be awesome to see Oscar dropped, Willian in the middle and Cuadrado on the right. I'd be very surprised if Cuadrado did start, though.
-
0% chance he leaves.
-
Unless the rest of his season is simply atrocious I don't think there's a chance we sell him. While I'm not as down on him as many in here, if getting Pogba was dependent on getting rid of Oscar then I'm all for it.
-
He's been abysmal this season too. That cunt Naismith is the one that annoys me most in their team. I just know that it'll be an annoying match that we'll have to be at our best to get the 3 points because they'll pack so many bodies in midfield. They'll likely do everything they can to mark Fabregas out of the game.
-
Will Baines be fit?
-
So after playing so well, now that they score West Ham play like scared little bitches and will inevitably allow United to score. Just letting them do as they please here.
-
Everton have been dire all season. They have absolutely zero creativity in their side as they again showed against Liverpool. If Cesc is back I'll feel very confident and I'll feel even more so if José starts with Willian at #10 and Cuadrado out wide. Will Baines still be out?
-
That's normally a match we'd manage to drop points from a winning position so I'm delighted in the end. Played poorly and still saw it out. I pray Cesc is back for Everton. If we can win that one and have Costa still to come back we'll be in a glorious position.
-
Arsenal made this lot look like a non Legue side last week. We're making them look like a top 3 team. Fucking embarrassing.
-
WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING?!
-
Better score again before the mountain Benteke comes on and destroys Cahill.
-
If the opposition had any quality we'd have conceded. They're doing absolutely whatever they want on both flanks. We look so shakey and hesitant in defense. Drogba is absolutely destroying almost every attacking move. NO WAY SHOULD HE BE STARTING PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHES!
-
We're allowing this shirt team WAY too much space. Just inviting a goal. We should be dominating the possession and we're just letting them have it.
-
Goodness me, Didier has been shocking!
-
Get a hold of the ball, ffs! Stop smacking it long. So frustrating. Getting outplayed thus far.
-
Look at Spurs' goal difference compared to everyone around them.
-
I worry that our midfield will be slow and laborious without Cesc. Villa will probably pack the midfield and prevent us from playing there. Can see this being a very frustrating one.
-
Called Cahill starting. Cesc
-
Have a funny feeling that Cahill will inexplicably start and a shot from 30 yards will take a massive deflection off of his knee and that's how Villa will get their first goal in a millenium. Something mental like that. Hazard will have one of his days today, though, and will be unplayable I feel. 1-4 I think it'll finish.
-
Not if but when. They'll surely fluke a goal somehow, I can already see it. Just don't think they'll be able to stop us scoring more.
-
Agree to disagree, then. Again, purely speaking of attacking play, Mata needs pace and movement in front of him to thrive. This is why he doesn't look half the player at United as he did here. He's got an aging RvP, an injury plagued Falcao, and no wingers to speak of there. Their attack is stagnant and dull most of the time. He's resigned to sideways passes and walking pace. Here he'd have loads of movement and pace with which to work. Our attack would be better in my opinion while our overall play would likely suffer, so I agree with you there. We'd probably resemble Arsenal or Liverpool a bit whereas we'd score 3-5 but also concede loads.
