The supposed quadruple winners in waiting have lost their 3 biggest home games off the season and not only that, they got outplayed in all of them.

Mate stop responding to him, how he survived the troll cull (which saw BMK and Phil Driver gone amoungst others) i will never know.

Thought i was the only one who saw this. Their is something in the water when it comes to over rating City. I have seen people claim they will win the quad, some even suggesting they could turn out to be the best off all time, i have never seen a team have so much hype for so little. Dont get me wrong they are a top team that will be up there this season and beyond, but quad? best team in the world? best team ever? not even close.

To some extent maybe, however 8 years without a trophy with some off the players he has had avalible to him is under-achievement, infact go back to pre 2005 when he had the best team in England if not Europe, he should have had Arsenal dominating England if not Europe, instead he was letting United win more than Arsenal while the likes off Deportivo and Inter were coming to Highbury and taking them to the cleaners. Jose or Fergie incharge off Arsenal circa 00-05 and i dread to think what would have happened.

Are we witnessing the permanent downfall of Manchester United as THE top club?
Tomo replied to HD3D's topic in Football Chat
It took Mancini 3 years to win the league and that was by the skin off his teeth, Hughes would have took a lot longer. Im not disagreeing with the bit that money helps but to build a consistent winning jaugernaught for me needs a WC manager, especially nowadays.- 142 replies

If we won vs Newcastle and Liverpool we would have got 4th, i reckon if Barca beat us we would have likely put those 2 games ahead off the FA Cup final.

Money does play a big part in the modern game but it doesn't buy team spirit, give the players mental toughness to see a task through and other key elements to create a winning machine. Look at QPR last season, their spending should have at the very least comfortably kept them up, yet they were gone by April. Spending loads off money will get more wins due to individual quality (like with Hughes at City) but to create a winning machine? there's only so much money alone can aid that process ,it helps not deyning that, but put it this way, i don't think Ian Dowie could ever lead a team to a title even if he outspent his competition combined x 10.- 142 replies

Dont care what anyone says, the booing off Ramires from WBA fans was pathetic. If we booed every player who was at the forefront off a controversial decision that went against Chelsea in the past we would be at it almost every game. Why can't they get their heads round the fact what comes around goes around? ffs last season they won at QPR because Fortune assaulted Rob Green. I never use to mind WBA, now i want the fukers relegated.

United aren't too big to go down the shitter. There's also absolutely no guarantee Moyes would work if given time, look at AC Milan, gave Allegiri a chance to build a team and look what happened. Milan are massive club and they have gone down, United aren't too big to do the same especially with Gollum at the helm.- 142 replies

If we win both legs vs Gala we would have beaten Drogba more times than Arsenal have.
-
He has basically put himself in the position he was when he joined us. The tiny ray off hope in an ageing stagnant team. All United need to do to completely replicate us back then is sack Moyes and Neville does a Di Matteo.

lol at all this rotation talk, the team you saw on saturday will be the team we will likely see for the rest off the season apart from JT instead off Luiz, unless we have a wobble or Luiz, Cole, Schurrle, Torres or Salah play their way in. The only part off the pitch we will see rotation often is CM and that's only because Lamps is 35 and Matic can't play CL. We have a settled first team right now and rotation will only be made when need be, Jose isn't Benitez or Ranieri.

Actually im liking the thought off Eto'o taking Lukaku under his wing, if Hazard is benefiting from his presence, imagine a young talented forward.
-
I wish Justin 3D was still here, i kept saying Moyes would epically flop at a top job and he wasn't having any off it. Thank fuck Roman knew better, merely thinking off how he would have used Hazard is disturbing.

I actually think they could recover if they act now and get shot off Moyes but they won't because they pride themselves on giving managers time, this was the case even before Fergie, part off the reason they went 26 years without a title was because they always left sacking managers too late. People like to have a go at Roman for his "itchy trigger finger" but that is 100 times better than stability for the sake off it.- 142 replies

04-05 to 07-08 we were insane, the consistency we had was inhuman, 12 league defeats in 4 seasons, all but 3 being by the 1 goal. Win for ages have one setback and go again. If it wasn't for a ridiculous injury list we would have won 4 on the trot. If only Jose and Roman agreed to see out 07-08 together before letting Mou go on his European tour. Summer 2008 we should have started the re-building process, although we still stayed at top form for the 2 years after i felt we were not re energising the squad and it will come back to bite us and in 10-11 it did just that. Hopefully lessons are learned this time round.

I still think he would get preffered to come on over Lukaku in circumstances. Say for example we sign Costa, im guessing most games he will start with Lukaku and Eto'o on the bench, say for argument sake Costa is having an off day and the opposition were well organised and we needed to be tactful to get the goal im certain Mou would choose Samuel. If on the other hand there was space begging to be exploited then Lukaku will be the one to come on.

Usually ill be relaxed about this one, but you just know the ref will have a 2 wrongs make a right mentality. Especially with the apology farce. Wouldnt shock me in the slightest if they get a pen wrongly awarded or we get one wrongly chalked off, possibly both.

He needs to play every domestic game until the end off the season for me, he's cup tied for CL he can rest then.
-
This won't be unpopular with this forum but will be for the football world in general. The "Anfield atmosphere" is the most over rated thing i have ever heard, unless they are playing United or a CL big game the place is like a libary, infact for routine league games i would go as far as saying its not much better than The Emirates.

God this new JT thing is annoying, for a start he is 28, in four years he will be the age JT is now. Also despite his improvements i still don't rate him higher than the current JT, let alone the prime version. He has improved a lot these last 2 months, but these JT comparisons make me cringe.

The only bit i challenged was the extreme love counteracting the extreme hate, the former was around from day 1. The rest off your post is fair.

No offense but that's rubbish, even before one Chelsea fan gave up on him (i was one off the 1st, i wanted him gone as early as January 2012 and haven't budged since) there was still excuse after excuse for him, fair enough the first few months but ever since summer 11 the excuses became silly. Put it this way, if a 3m signing from Vittese got the same minutes and chances he has with the same type off displays, he would probably be disliked on the same level as Bogarde. As for the Torres and his kid thing, some member put up a gif off his son apparently trying to strike the ball but missing in the usual EOS lap off honour, talk about mountain out off a molehill, i slipped over taking a pen when i was a kid, didn't hear the end off it for months, was i getting abused to? Yes the gif would have been better off not posted, but any other player and no one would have blinked let alone brought the matter back up months later.

He has some games where he does decide to show up and turn into a work horse. But he has his lazy games, and when he does he makes Berbatov look like an all action energetic, high presser. The prime example is check out his games between West Brom away under RDM upto West Ham away under Rafa, he lack of workrate in those games put the Malouda of 10/11 in the shade.

Sam Allardyce is one off the most under-rated managers in football. Beat that.
