the sun today claimed that Jose is losing it because he hasnt played Zouma and Van Ginkel much yet. Just when you think the media couldn't lower the bar.

The key to a succesful and stable club is continual evolution, replace before they "need" replacing, if that makes sense. We waited until Anelka and Malouda needed replacing instead off acting in advance, and look what happened there.

Just been thinking, if any other striker off ours the last two decades got the unconditional minutes Torres got for half off last season (before Demba got here), who would actually do worse?
-
Jose has already shown with Cole and (since we signed Matic) Lampard that sentiments are out off the window here. I think he will make the change, he possibly hinted about it after the Hull game in January.
-
I wasn't thinking exclusively last night, more his career with us as a whole.

Constant fuking up our counters, losing the ball when other's have made good run's into space, trips over himself, needi go on. Eto'o even when he has a poor game, can hold onto the ball, use his brain to bring other's into play, basically he gets the basic's right even on an off day. He is a big part off the problem when he plays, conceding goals may not be his doing, but effectively acting like a defender for the opposition, is all down to him.

It's all about looking at the context off thing's. If we were a squad in it's prime then 2nd/3rd and trophyless would be considered a failure. However the last 3 season's we have been riddled with an ageing, unbalanced squad, weak midfield even shite team's walked over and no real plan going forward. Jose has come in and done superbly in his first year, the problems off last few years won't go away overnight and there has been a few shocking on pitch displays, but we look a much more balanced and stable unit these days, on and off the pitch (Rui Faria or Zenden?). Missing out on a trophy won't be nice, but at the same time we have made great strides in terms off consistency and performance this term and a choice between that and Europey? no contest.

Has to be our worst striker in the last 2 decades. Sheva was average, Pizzaro was dreadful, Torres is anonymous.
-
He is our most important player till the end off the season.

Don't like the look off our bench atall.

Mou made the Cole-Azpi change in November vs Schalke, 10 games and nearly 2 months later Cole went to the Gooner party. So what point was he trying to make exactly?

Regarding trophies, the only one that should be used as a true barometar to how good as manager is, is the league. Every team wins atleast 10 games a season, 6 fall on FA Cup week and you have bagged yourself a cup. Even with the CL, did that trophy turn Robbie into Jose? If Moyes somehow wins it this season will he suddenly become a better manager? I like to look at consistency first and foremost to judge a manage work, and we have improved a lot in consistency and general performance overall imo.
-
It is, but we will see that used a lot as reasoning that Rafa did a better job, which just won't be true. Regardless of what happens now, Jose has done better than Rafa.

My camel's back broke in November 2011.
-
God if we don't win anything this season the tedious "well Rafa won the EL post's" will be cringeworthy.
-
Agree with all off that apart from i do think Eto'o will be a key player in the run in, but that's for another argument. I remember saying in the summer off 2012 when we let go off half the old guard and brought in Hazard, Oscar, Moses and Azpilicueta that it would take a while for them to bed in being so young. From then i said last season we weren't winning the title, this season was 50/50 and next will be the time thing's start coming together.
-
Whats funny is he declined a pen 2 months before at Birmingham when we were 2 up, yet wanted to take one off those in Munich. Whats even funnier is he wasn't even 6th, Cahill was up next had Didier missed.
-
Unless they sign Thiago Silva, i can't see one player alone improving that defence. Agger and Skrtel are good defenders and Sakho is a top prospects, it's more the system they play. Our defence that has been so good, apart from Azpi, all off them played under AVB when we couldn't stop conceding.
-
I don't expect the club to be happy if we miss out on silverware this term, but at the same time they will surely ad knowledge we are heading in the right direction and (with a good summer window) are on the verge of something very special once again.

I have seen United win title after title, but the pain off seeing them win 10 won't be near as bad as seeing Liverpool win one. I would rather see Tottenham win the league, seriously.

If Pep "only" wins 2 trophies instead off 3, does that means he has failed at Bayern this season because they won the treble last season? Was Kenny Dalglish better than Fergie in 11/12? If Pool don't win the PL this season? Did Kenny do a better job 2 years back than BR this season? The progress we have made this season has been incredible, we have spent the last 3 years floating about in a never ending transition with no real style off play, inconsistent result's, unbalanced team and a weak midfield that even shite sides over ran. Jose has layed some real foundations this season and regardless off whether we win PL, CL, both or none, he has done brilliantly balancing the team out and getting more out off the players, look at Cahill. If it weren't for Mou we would be 4th imo, that is how much a difference i believe he has made.

My biggest worry is Cardiff away, for some reason, they hate us and the fans would love to deny us a title if it gets that far. Although having said that, i doubt Ole and Fabio would bust a gut to help City and/or Liverpool out (unless their in a last day relegation battle themselves) sneaky Fabio back pass to Eto'o?

Actually Swansea is the one im least worried about, yes we have been dropped points before up there, but that was under Brendan reign and Laudrup's honey moon period, they have been absolute wank ever since they won the league cup and not to mention, we have came on leaps and bounds since our last trip to Wales. Arsenal and Tottenham have won twice there since the LC, we have beat them at home twice without even getting into 1st gear, heck even Moyesy's United won 4-1 in Wales. If we can't win there we don't deserve the league.

In terms off raw talent he is the best to come out off our academy for some time, it's his other aspects that are letting him down. If the club gave Micheal Mancienne years and years off loans to prove himself, Josh will atleast be afforded the same chance.

He has the look off a man who has just made the biggest mistake off his life.
