  1. We will have some serious incentive regardless off the score at Anfield. Liverpool win and we can leapfrog Arsenal. Arsenal win and we can go 9 points clear in the top 3. Draw and we could potentially create clear daylight between us and Liverpool and leapfrog Arsenal. That will take a 3 goal win for us. Either way, get our job done and we have benefitted from the Anfield match whatever the score.
  2. The price tag is relevent, its the only reason people are still making up excuse after excuse for this guy.
  3. Not surprised, he was living off his first 6 months, in truth Swansea have been rubbish since they won the COC.
  4. The confidence and assurance Mourinho gives me is unrivalled. Under Rafa RDM or even Ancelotti 1-0 at The Ethiad at HT and my nails would be off, last night i wasn't fully relaxed because Jose or not all it takes is one moment but i certainly wasn't the mess i was in similar circumstances under other managers.
  5. Out off all the improvements Mourinho would make, i didn't see this one coming.
  6. I wish there was a rule we could challenge journalists on the crap they write, they would be tripping over themselves. Off topic i remember earlier in the season you mentioned how high you rated Southampton and their high pressing game, Jose in an interview with Nevin explained to a point how he countered that, it's on youtube(the interview).
  7. The way we approached the game in OT and The Emirates is the same way Fergie has approached big away games in the past, try and win if you can but also be wary that a point away to a title rival (or in Uniteds case who we thought would be one) is far from a disaster. United and Arsenal as the home teams were just as cautious and didn't commit because they were shit scared off us contering, it's beyond bizarre how that is never adknowleged. Compare how we went at Liverpool and brought an extra striker on against City both at home to United and Arsenal when they hosted us.
  8. Its the media for you, it's genuinely amazing that some can't differentiate the difference between parking the bus and playing a tactful percentage game.
  9. Howard is a fair shout but the others are a shadow of what they were. Jaaskelinen has been rubbish for a while Coyle dropped him for Bogdan and Big Sam has done the same bringing in that little shit Adrian in his place. A prime Jussi in 2007 was argubly the best in the PL aside from Petr and VDS. Friedel lost a lot off mobility in recent years, Spurs fans main complaint about him is he doesn't command his box and has slow reactions, neither off those was a problem in his Blackburn days and Mark is still good but a shadow off his Boro days imo.
  10. I don't want to speak to soon but i think we might have finally found him the right loan. Shame he had Mowbray as his manager at Boro instead off Karanka.
  11. Keepers usually decline in mid 30s, there are some freaks like Van Der Sar but for one off him there's 20 Shay Givens.
  12. If the change is made its because its what's best for the club. Cech will still have his place in the history books at Chelsea just like Cudicini and De Goey do but if Jose feels Cech is close to decline we must make the change before it starts seriously showing, remember Malouda and Anelka in 10-11?
  13. Contary to popular belief Jose isnt some anti youth ageist manager. He is no worse than most in this current day.   In his last spell we saw a 20 year old Huth a fair bit despite possessing the 3 best CBs in the PL at the time, Mikel came in as a teenager and Jose picked him to start 2 Cup finals, Scott Sinclair got brought on against Arsenal as a 17 year old with the scores tied and needing a win to save our title bid and i am convinced Hutch would have been promoted but for his knee.    We had a stable and complete team back then, when we get to that stage again there's no reason to suggest Jose won't give on off the younguens the game time he gave Huth last time.   When you scratch the surface he really isn't this youth hating maniac people portray him as.
  14. Hopefully he can still make it here, he is far to naturally talented to give up on, this sounds like this could be his breakthrough loan which is good.
  15. Do you have the turnover stats for both? i know it was Eto'o 8 Torres 19 pre Liverpool.
  16. If the stats were anything to go by its Charlton that would have stole that had they held on.
  17. For years the question was asked, why does Roman "lack patience with managers"? Well i think Moyes has well and truly answered that. Whats happening at United now is what "showing patience" to Scolari would have looked like.
  18. Fergie had an interview the other day slating the sacking culture, so unless the board or Glazers risk his wrath and overrule him then United are stuck with Moyesey.
  19. AVB got sacked by Chelsea in early March after his 7th league defeat off the season. Early February and Moyes has lost his 8th league game off the season.
  20. I reckon potentially he could be our Henry , started as a winger got moved up front and turned into one off the best in the world. It would save us a hell off a lot off money.
  21. I meant to say defensive responsibility, im on my ps3 so can't edit my posts. Coop nope if Hazard improves his finishing he has the potential to be deadly there, it wouldn't be an exclusive false 9 playing say Oscar or Spain playing Cesc there would be.
  22. Maybe my mind is doing overtime here but could Jose be planning on doing to Hazard what Wenger did to Henry? could that what he meant when he said we will know in the summer why we didn't sign a striker ? If he improves finishing i don't see why not and he won't have the same level off responsibility he does on the wing.
  23. One off my hopes for today is we find Kalas a good loan. His injury in pre season was the worst timing ever.
  24. Stop twisting things and maybe these "mourinhoistas" learned from the Cech Cudicini situation
  25. Fergie was always tactful in big away games just like Jose was at OT and The Emirates. Just because he wasn't stupid in approach doesn't mean he didn't want to win, away games against big teams managers try and win but are also wary a draw is a good result. Also its quite frankly bizarre how its never mentioned Arsenal and United were just as cautious that night, guess it doesn't fit with the Jose myth.
