In no way am i suggesting this will be a walkover, but our struggles at Villa Park and Villa being our bogey side has not been the case off late. We have won our last two games away to Villa and it should have been 3, furthermore they were a top 6 team the last time we lost there, now their relegation fodder and apart from Agbonlahor, do they have any survivors from then? We could drop points, but like with Fulham, a few slip ups when they were miles better than what they are now won't be the reason for it.

As amusing as Arsenal's trophy drought is, if we win the PL comes as part off the deal, ill drop the FA Cup to the Emirates myself.

We have had games this season were we have played some great games with good football, Hull at home, Liverpool at home, Southampton away and the second half vs them at SB, Newcastle at home, Stoke at home, even West Ham whenwe cut through them at will but Adrian had the game off his life. Was Schurrle and Hazard's link up play vs Fulham turgid and boring? We should be playing a bit better on a more consistent basis maybe, but we tried to change the style under RDM but had to go back to type after going on our worst run off results for over a decade. Despite this misguided fantasy we played great attacking football under Rafa, we didn't. Jose's first task was to get more consistent results and get us playing like a team again, pretty 1-2's and fancy flicks can wait.

His creativity and passing is criminally under-rated.

Tottenham's aggregate score against this season's current top 4 is 24 -2.

Maybe we would if his attitude was a bit better. We are talking about a guy who sulked after we made him a CL winner, walked down the tunnel after getting subbed off and admitted to not caring about results. If he like Sheva accepted he has been shit for us and got on with it, then most people would lay off him a bit, instead off gobbing off to the media about how he didn't care if we lose. Look at Ash for example, he hasn't played for weeks yet still celebrated the winner vs Everton like the supporters, the didn't care comments were unforgivable.
-
He should have got the league cup, Steau home and Derby FA Cup games and if he impressed build his apps from there. Im not that bothered tho, the club has made great progress this year and if that's at the expense off Kalas having the hump so be it.
-
-----------Courtois----------- Ivan---Cahill---Terry---Shaw Can see this being our back 5 next term with Azpi providing the rotation option at full back (both sides) and Zouma being gradually bled in (can see us selling Luiz and sending Kalas on loan). Can also see us changing Cech for Courtois, Mou has already shown with Ash and Essien that he doesn't do sentiment's. Would like the look off that defence if im honest, would offer a good balance and we will probably have Kane, Omerou and Kalas on loan incase of injury crisis.
-
I think he was told to by the board, Chelsea was his dream job, you could see how badly he wanted the full time gig he would have accepted the "clause" no questions asked.
-
Im not saying he isn't happy now because he clearly is, but there must be a little part off him wondering what if he waited for Mourinho. No way would Mou have played Torres over him, absolutely no way.
-
Remember at the start off the season there were post's about how Mou would favour all his old boys? Well so far he sold Essien after barely playing him, dropped Cole and put a makeshift RB in his place and since Matic has signed Lamps has seen his fair share off benchtime also. He might even swap Cech for Courtois in the summer. Next season it's quite possible that JT will be the only player from the first coming playing regularly. Mourinho doesn't do sentiments, Carvalho found that out at Real, Essien and Cole have this season and Cech could be next.
-
Is that why he is playing well tho? His 2 best displays this season (Stoke and so far tonight) have came when he hadn't previously played for weeks.

Just watched the football league show for the first time in a while and deary me the standard off football in league two is so bad, i almost forgot how much, don't know whether to laugh or cry. 95% off goals i have seen in that division ever have come from defensive cock up's, you would expect the 4th tier off English football to have some quality players that look capable off potentially going up the pyramid. The bottom half off league one isn't much better either.

We have 10 games left and Jose on average wins 7 times out off 10 so if he follows his average in the remaining games then Liverpool will have to win 8 games and draw 1 to catch us and unless they have a thumping result to catch our GD Arsenal will need to win 9 out of 10 , if we win 7 that is, which we should do if we don't get complacent. City's a different ball game, were deal with them later.

I remember in 04 05 we got to the latter stages off the CL but still kept on winning in the league then in 05 06 we went out in the round of 16 and after that had a bit off a wobble that let United creep up on us. Add the factors that City have 3 extra league games that will almost certainly have to be played in midweek will mean those games are their CL Q/F substitute and our ability to play dogshit yet still win, i don't think that we will be as handicapped as people fear, if we get past Gala that is.

I still don't think he's world class, madly improved tho, for all the changes Jose has made i didn't see this one coming.
-
Its refreshing to have Jose tell things how it is, rather than Rafa and Carlo trying to pass off crap displays as good one's.
-
haha talk about speaking to soon.

I couldn't give a shit how we play if we get the 3 points. Last minute winner of Azpilicueta's backside when he's not looking, i don't care.
-
Under Jol in his first season, they finished 8th level on points with Liverpool and only a few behind Everton. Which in that season we got two 1 1s against them. Last season we drew 0 0 at home when they were still pretty decent but from Jan onwards there form totally nosedived because off players stagnating and since then we have had 2 comfortable wins without playing that great ourselves. Dont get me wrong there is like always a chance off dropping points, but new manager or not, this won't be as hard as facing them back in 2011 and 2012 was, we are better and they are worse.
-
They were a decent side up until the middle off last season when alot off their players stagnated and hit father time. This isn't the same Fulham team that constantly caused us shit a few years back, this is probably the best fixture away we could have hoped for after an CL game, and that's without factoring in we have literally no travelling to do for this one.
-
The game at Stamford Bridge vs Fulham was our worst PL performance off the season yet we still won 2 0 and never looked troubled apart from one moment when Cahill played Bent onside. This Fulham team are awful, the only way we will drop points is through utter complacency.
-
Every time i watch Spurs he is lazy as fuck and nearly every single Spurs fan i know backs that up. He wouldn't last 10 minutes under Mourinho.
-
Spurs are always there to go one worse than us. We sign a terrible striker from Spain, but Levy wades in and gets an even worse one.
-
This probably belongs in unpopular views but i said the same thing about Jose in 2010 vs Inter so the same applies to DD aswell. The romantic reunion in my eyes can wait, ill applaud when he warms up but during the 180 minutes he is the enemy and all ill be thinking about is Chelsea winning, if Drogs scores at any point i will not be amused in the slightest. During the matches i will be cheering on Eto'o not Drogba. Like with Jose i would rather wait until Drogba is back at the club (he will get either a coach or ambassador role when he retires) to truly give him the reception he deserves, not while he is working with Mancini to plot our downfall.
