  1. We will probably have about 40m off club generated money to spend, also factor in the potential departures off Luiz, Ba, Mikel, Torres (please god) aswell as the loanee's we decide to let go permanently, will probably bring us 50 (possibly more kf Barca give us big bucks for Luiz). Also we have about 10m left over from the Mata/KDB sales, so i reckon we will probably have about a 100m kitty this summer, potentially more if we win CL.
  2. The general concensus seems to be 30m is too much, while it seems steep other factors have to be considered. Look at Ferdinand (yes he is a cunt that's not the point) back in 2002 he went to United as a 30m CENTRE BACK, 12 years, 6 titles and a CL medal later who's laughing now? Even looking beyond that, he has been a vital part off their spine all this time and the homegrown core every club needs. Factor in the fact that Shaw is homegrown, a local lad, adds to our HG quota and could give us 12-13 years off world class service and even beyond that could potentially do a JT/Giggs/Maldini (by that i mean even past their peak still offer a lot in terms off priceless experience). Price may seem a bit steep right now, but we won't be saying that at his testimonial.
  3. When the opponents rolled over for us (ala Newcastlem Wolves) we were playing some pretty decent stuff, when teams turned up with a tactical plan, that was when we come unstuck and Robbie got found out.
  4. People change over the years. Roman and Jose quite clearly had a relationship breakdown which led to the latter leaving, but in the years gone by people's perspective changes, and obviously there's has to the point they feel tthey can work together again. I bet the ill fated full time spell off Robbie was a bit off an eye opener, he played good football (well what the perception off good football is atleast) which culminated in 2 wins out off 9 and one off them was via extra time. Maybe he use to be obsessed with sexy attacking football back in 2007, people change over time, i didn't mind the tika taka style in 2009, now i can't stand the sight off it.
  5. Im pretty sure Mou is bluffing, he said the would play the youth at The Emirates in the coc. Furthermore we just cannot play a weakened side, even if winning at Anfield may or may not be too late as far as the title is concerned, we still need a win and a draw to secure top 3 and a win for top 4. It will take a catastrophic fuck up to fall to 4th and especially 5th now but i would rather we eliminated the possibility asap, lose this one and draw vs Norwich while Arse and Everton win their next 2, all off a sudden were dragged into a last day top 4 fight from absolutely nowhere.
  6. Why? A 2-1 win will send us through now it would have meant extra time if we lost 2-1, furthermore a 0-0 will get us extra time where as a 2-1 loss tonight would have meant that score sent us out.
  7. Depends what you judge him on, his standards or whst we actually need. I judge him on the latter and quite frankly the difference between him and even a subpar Diego Costa is alarming.
  8. Atleast we have a good back up now, imagine if we had Turnbull still  Get well soon Cech, sobering thought that he could have played his last game for us.
  9. All we hear is how boring Jose's football is. Well don't know about you but i will never get bored watching players with such dedication and a winning mentality, there's nothing more entertaining than that. The last thing i would want is some stubborn football purist who (while will get us a 6-0 to some shower of shite every now and again) crumbles against big teams or physical sides.
  10. So this is what a good back up looks like.
  11. This is why we pay Jose the 2nd highest manager salary in football.
  12. The thought off the Rami-Luiz pivot in the 2nd leg is making me squirm.
  13. Also we have to make sure we promote the right players or were wasting ours and their time. Take Conor Clifford for example, back in 2010 he was part off our youth cup winning side and some people were not only calling for him to be fast tracked into the team, but to be our next captain when JT goes. 4 years on he is in and out off Southend's team. Look at the other players in that team Ince, Salah, Tore, Mitrovic, Lalkovic, Papoe, Billy Clifford, if they were so good why has no one close to our standard given them the chance we "cruely" denied them off?
  14. What i find funny is United fans didn't want Mourinho because off his style off play, yet are wanking themselves off at the prospect off getting Klopp or Simeone, who play the exact same fast paced counter attacking football Jose played at Madrid and is implementing here.
  15. How long before we can get on the stability high horse?
  16. This season wasn't the right time to bring the likes off Chalobah into the fold, our midfield was far to unstable, Ramires is probably the worst pivot partner to a developing young player. Matic and hopefully a new mid will give the likes off Nat and Bieber a more solid base to get games. Kalas on the other hand should have got more games, god knows what happened there.
  17. Chelsea, Liverpool, United, Palace and Tottenham have all for good or bad proved this season that the manager is the most important person in a football club bar the owner's, Burnley, Wolves, Wigan and Bournemouth are other examples if you want to look lower down the league pyramid.
  18. During his time at Stoke, Pulis never lost at home to City or Liverpool. Lets hope he can keep that up, i aint giving up on this title till it's mathematicly impossible.
  19. Yeah he really let the game flow.
  20. I remember the game at home to Shaktar last year (when Moses got last minute winner) and the ref in that game was outstanding, got literally everything spot on. I can't remember the last time i thought that after watching a domestic game.
  21. Last season Benitez's reluctance to defend the team and the players in adversity was driving us up the wall. Can't have it both ways.
  22. Every time we drop points there's people that come here and slate one of the best managers in history. Shame.
