  1. Not really. Only Nasri and Dzeko that may possibly stir up trouble but they'll be the first two off the bench every game so they should get plenty of games. Other than that, I don't see anyone else who could cause trouble. Richards, Milner, Rodwell, Garcia, Lescott, Negredo, they'll know they are squad players.
  2. It's a hell of a team. I think they need to buy a centre-back and they're set for the next season. Miles better squad than United. I'd say ours is possibly better but that Fernandinho - Toure midfield blows ours out of the water. We'll have trouble with them again if we don't improve our midfield. God Chelsea just buy a fucking midfielder, it's been like 3 years now.
  3. Let's do a Torres - Higuain swap. Carlo wanted Torres and Real want more Spanish superstars. Let's do THIS!! I know won't happen because Torres is an Athletico legend but I shall dream.
  4. I think he's actually similar to Iniesta. I do see similarities to Mata but KDB's dribbling is significantly better than Mata's, hence why I say Iniesta.
  5. I can see De Bruyne take over Mata because he's probably the most creative after Mata but Oscar and Hazard can't hold a candle to Mata's vision and creativeness. Nothing wrong with that because they both bring other strengths to the team but from a strictly player role point of view, Mata is in a league of his own in terms of creativity.
  6. They didn't make it up though. United themselves leaked that fake story to unsettle Chelsea and try to shut the door on Chelsea's move for Rooney. However, it backfired cause Chelsea came out right away and shot it down. United really fked up.
  7. Plus our kit is a looser fit compared to last year. I thought he looked fine.
  8. Let's just use some logic here: Chelsea wants to buy Rooney: 1.can we afford him? No, let's offer Mata or Luiz. 2. can we afford him? Yes, let's bid. 3. can we afford him? Yes, but United want Mata or Luiz in exchange. 1 - not going to happen, because we have the money and mata and luiz arent for sale as confirmed by mou 2 - most likely scenario 3 - if this was the case united wouldn't have rejected the so called bid Also, if we offered Mata and Luiz without knowing if United wanted them, that means Chelsea wants to sell them both which I don't believe because Mou denied it himself. And you can get a lot more than whatever Rooney will cost for Mata or Luiz, so a flat out sale is still more likely than a player exchange. So, I don't care who said what on the radio or whoever their source is, either Mou is a flat out liar and has no respect for Mata and Luiz or we just made a cash bid. Did I miss any other possible scenario?
  9. Just do the same thing, 2 different lineups for both halves. Want to see how MVG and Essien work and Hazard link up with Lukaku. Second half, KDB and Schurrle with Ba and Kalas with Cahill to see how he gets on with him since he's most likely our depth CB this year. He paired up with Terry today, now with Cahill. Cech Wallace - Chalobah - Terry - Cole MVG - Essien Moses - Hazard - Piazon Lukaku Schwarzer Ivan - Cahill - Kalas - Bertrand Ramires - Lamps Traore - KDB - Schurlle Ba
  10. lol you're very excited, you keep coming back this thread every 5 mins and posting about him lol i agree btw
  11. It really was. At least 5 times I was like, ugh no he lost the ball but somehow he'd retain possession and get fouled instead.
  12. I don't know why people are trying to sell Suarez's ability in this thread. No one in the right state of mind will for one second doubt his ability. Imo he was the best player in the PL last year. The only problem with him is his attitude. Dude is as big of a nutjob as they come. Suarez works hard and he gives it his all, but let's be real if you're playing for Chelsea and competing for UCL and PL you are most likely doing the same, only difference is that you don't bite people, berate referees, dive and cheat every single game. That's not passion, that's stupidity. Football is played on instincts, you rarely have time to think much at all. When your instinct causes you to bite people you can't control that, it's happened twice, it will happen again. People say what was he thinking doing that, it's simple, he wasn't, and you shouldn't expect him to either. It will happen again, it's just part of who he is. You buy him, you take the bad with the good, he won't be able to change himself and nothing wrong with that, but I just don't want him at Chelsea. I'll enjoy watching him play, sometimes I'll cheer for him, sometimes I'll cuss him out but I don't want to do that while he's wearing our Blue.
  13. My thoughts: Wallace - pleasantly surprised, but let's calm down, he wasn't tested defensively at all, he can be part of the squad but that will probably just stall his development so he should get a loan so he can get a lot of playing time under his belt Kalas - hardly had anything to do, but he looked much much bigger than when he signed for us, looked like mceachran back then Essien - i love him, absolutely love him, he was great, i was smiling entire first half watching him boss it, but he did the same shit last preseason too so i'm still not convinced he can get back to decent form, lets see if he can build on this Ramires - he's a maniac, he loves running and tackling you can tell, sloppy with some passes though and his heading was off today, mishit like 3 easy headers KDB - MOTM, part of everything good Chelsea did, picked out someone on every cross except the last couple before he got subbed Piazon - disappointed, i like him, i expected more Schurrle - ran around a lot and tried to get involved but didnt really get anything done, but i did love the few runs he made to get in behind when Lukaku was dropping deep, we need more of that off-ball movement Lukaku - his movement was not that good but overall looked great and def better than ba, that kdb pass over the top and first shot (on target) was beautiful, my favourite move of the match Ivan, Cahill, Bertrand, Moses, Ba, Chalobah - meh, some were poor some didnt do anything Hazard - great to see him back and great to see him be aggressive and positive with his dribbling from the start, it took him a good month before he actually started dribbling last year, he's ready, we can get by with Cole and Bertrand this year but we need an attacking left back for the future who can link up better with him Van Ginkel - impressed, strong and moved the ball fast and showed good passing range, nothing flashy but what i noticed is that when you have Mikel and others in there you can tell they are slowing it down and you notice it, but that never happened with him, so that's a positive itself Traore - how old is this dude? isn't he supposed to be like 17? boy is he developed for his age, looked very confident i thought
  14. Wallacinho!!! Deserved it. Looks promising but it'll be tough to displace Azpi because Azpi's biggest strength is his defending, Wallace hasn't been tested in that sense yet, but he looks good Considering how rare good full-backs are, I am very pleased.
  15. So Oscar and KDB on bench? At least one should be starting ahead of either Schurrle or Moses imo. No Mata at all in the centre? I would say: Hazard vs Schurrle on the left Oscar vs Mata in the middle Mata vs KDB on the right Moses backup to the above 5.
  16. Mou seems to def like the idea of Mata on the right which means more of Oscar in the middle
  17. Jovetic to City confirmed? Yikes, they got a beast of a team there, going all out for short-term success. Hart Zaba - Kompany - Nastasic - Clichy Fernandinho - Toure Navas - Silva - Jovetic Aguero That is a beast of a team right there.
  18. If you thought Eden's thread was crazy, you better not get anywhere near Mikel, Luiz and KDB.
  19. I don't think anyone has any problem with the money. It's the character of the player that is in question.
  20. Agreed. Essien shouldn't even be ahead of MVG unless he's regained his form from 3 years ago, which I doubt.
  21. Y'all will be pleasantly surprised with Piazon, dude will show his quality. He won't be part of the squad but he's contender for a PL loan imo.
  22. All this talk about Rooney by Mou and the players and it seems like we're def interested but I still don't think United would be dumb enough to sell to us. But then again, if he is leaving, there aren't really that many options other than Chelsea. So it's between him and Suarez. Suarez is def the better player, we walk the title if we get Suarez but I just don't feel comfortable having a guy like that on Chelsea. Rooney isn't a saint either, he's similar to Ash in that sense, seems like a nice enough guy on and off the pitch but the occasional stupid act drags him down. I'd be on board with Rooney. I was for him from the start, even preferred him over Cavani (due to value).
